Dont touch the bottle to the threads , the bottle will last longer as metal ions will kick start curing inside the bottle on those types of products

Probably if you deep that end inside of water we can see better the bubbles. Not saying that you are doing anything wrong, just giving a suggestion that I would try.

You seems to have applied the 545 differently than you did the others. With the 545 you left the first 2 threads bare, but with all the others you coated the first threads really well.

Why didn't you retest 545 with a wrench tightened cap to be sure it will seal under installed conditions? That would have been interesting to see how it did. Thanks for the video.

according to loctite no. 577 is the way to go for thread sealing on a fuel system. But there are so many numbers out there

i have used the blue 242/243 loctite and the red 271 loctite and between them both the blue was the best for me so far i wanted to buy the 545 loctite and try that but its so damn expensive for what it was i got the other bottles from work so they were free lol

A bit surprising how well they work with improperly tightened threads, thanks for watching.

@@groutaone I was impressed by that I would have to use the sealant because the lock tight may harden to much and sealant may stay softer longer

You may have a point there.

I always had air Leaks with pipe dope in my shop after a year if you have long runs and alot of air valves and drops it's noisy and expensive to have air running 24x7 it is nice to pressure up and leave it when u come back it's still full and not running all the time
