    I like the set up to clean first, looks effective. Dont think I've seen grease fittings installed with air tools before...think I'll continue to use a small wrench or socket.

      Na you can only fuck it once anit was just in need of the good ol but wasn't taken it this solved that really any good solvent would have worked thru a grease gun would habe been the same hell hydro fluid in the grease gun could have been doneaswell

      So true. You can see the cavernous space in between the fittings that allows the vibration and the shifting to really do damage. That grease will be gone in a mile if that.

    This works every time. The bushings are not necessarily worn out. Farm machinery setting up from season to season nearly always has joints where the grease sets up like concrete. You can just use a port-a-power style jack with the jack fluid, transmission fluid, diesel, or rust remover. I've used all of these. They clean out the old setup greese and allow a path for the fresh greese. This is one of the advantages farm boys have in the real world. They know how to getter done.

    Haven’t seen grease fittings on leaf spring shackles on regular trucks/cars since I was a kid, heavy equipment yes but not passenger cars, I’d say plain old utility trailers could use them too

      just make an adaptor for the portopower and push hydraulic oil in there.
      ( Do not change the nipple portopwer straing in the nipple)

    Never install grease nipples with a power/air tool. Always use a hand tool.

    If you would take a Jake and relieve the tension on the shackle the grease would get around the pen allot easier.

    You need to replace the pins and bushings. You're still going to have the same problem next service. Plus your tires are going to wear out because the springs are moving all over the place and not keeping your alignment.

    There’s supposed to be a seal in there right? Otherwise all the grease will get pushed away and not do its job.. may as well just keep putting grease in it every drive.. or replace it right..

    Looks like a military vehicle service... those units needed to be replaced. No amount of grease is gonna fix a damaged bushing that has already begun to take on water

    Unfortunately I've done this same treatment to heavy trucks & equipment myself in the past,, now I buy new stuff and kept serviced quite regularly..
    It's hard to make a living with stuff that needs worked on all the time..🤫

    If the bushing wore out this aint gonna fix that ..but over charge them and it will still have problems they will bring it back then u can replace bushing and charge them too much again. Altho i like the greese fitting idea . Manufacture should put greese fitting on way more stuff than they do

    I have little fitting rejuvenators you load up with your mystery oil. Put on the fitting and hit it with the hammer and it shoots the oil through the nipple and fitting itself so flush out everything

    A bad bushing is a bad bushing needs to be replaced but grease won't eat up rubber it look like oil that was put on an oil does eat up rubber

    That bottom one looks phooked.. look at the centre, the nipple is the centre of the pin /bush,... oil n grease isnt going to do jack this time..
    It may come out easier NOW, with the Lube...
