Having a clothes horse and putting your clothes on it rather than the floor is also a good way to keep clutter of the floor. A shoe rack will ensure that shoes aren't left strewn all over the floor. A hamper in the bathroom or corridor next to the bathroom to collect clothes for washing will prevent dirty clothes from piling up on the floor. And for beds that are filled with decorative pillows, keep a chair or blanket box in the bedroom to store them at night rather than tossing them on the floor. However much the floor is vacuumed or swept, it still not clean enough for the pillows to lie on. Waste paper baskets or bins in strategic heavy traffic areas will prevent rubbish being tossed on the floor intentionally or unintentionally. Washing one's plate, cup or glass and cutlery after each meal will prevent a pile up of dirty dishes in the sink. And desisting from leaving cups and glasses all around the house after use, will definitely reduce clutter. Wash them immediately after use to prevent clutter and a kitchen sink that's overwhelming at the end of the day.
Thank you so much for sharing these fantastic tips audrey thiruppathy ❤ You’ve highlighted some really practical habits that can make a huge difference in keeping clutter at bay, especially the ideas about using a clothes horse and having a dedicated spot for decorative pillows. I love the reminder about placing waste baskets in high-traffic areas to prevent rubbish from accumulating and washing dishes right after use to avoid that overwhelming sink pile-up. These small habits definitely add up to a more organized and clutter-free home. Do you have any other go-to habits that help you keep your space tidy? Would love to hear more of your ideas! Don't make your bed until it has aired for 1 to 2 hours. This allows the sweat (approx 2 cups) to evaporate.
