- Authorities pursued a black Honda throughout southeast L.A. County on local freeways and side streets on Aug.7 after the driver failed to stop for a police officer in Upland. The suspect driver and passenger were seen being taken into custody after the lengthy pursuit. Sky5 was overhead. #pursuit

This is why as soon as I get into my car, I hit the lock button. If it’s hot I only crack my windows until the ac kicks in, and roll my windows up with a quickness-always watching my surroundings. And never pick up anyone! If they need help call 911. You know? Especially the way they were acting...
The driver had a lady friend with him too, which meant he not only jeopardized his own life but someone else's too, by letting the gang bangers in his car. Either he's a super nice guy, or super dumb, or he knew these guys. Unbelievable.
Amazing, the EVIDENCE ( paper bag) just lying on the pavement at the corner with up to 20 cops just walking past it.
That paper bag was given to them by a bystander (man) while on their chase. He was holding on to it with his dear life and it just lay there. Interesting!

Ok. True it was boring when the cops backed off but the ending was action packed. I watched it live with my daughter who will be learning to drive soon.....she learned a life lesson here, don’t pick up strangers or dudes trying to stop traffic. Well done.

Unfortunately, for the people that gave them a ride, probably thinking they had broken down, it's another case of 'No good deed shall go unpunished'. They got to sit on a curb for a while for trying to be nice and help someone. Hate seeing that happen.

They do that because years ago they would zoom in on the suspect at the end and one of the times a guy had a shot gun and blew his brains out.
That's normal in case the perp pulls out a gun and the police have to open fire.

No he actually sucked. After the chase ended and they got the first 2 perps, the cops went back to the car to get the other guys out, and this nut continues to think their at a completely different car all the way to the end.

Absolutely not. Under NO circumstances do you pick up one stranger off the side of the road trying to stop traffic, but TWO feels like a death wish. If this was one of my family members when they came home I would have laid into them hardcore (but out of love).

What they may have done is purposefully blocked that part from the live broadcast because it was the point where the perpetrators were still running and the cop from the lower right pulled out his gun. They would not want to show someone getting shot and possibly killed on live TV. They show the full footage at 1:26:51.

I just watched the pursuit. I noticed at the guy that was arrested that was carrying the bag. when the video coverage ended NO ONE picked up the bag! the cops were so into arresting these two guys they overlooked picking up the bag They just kept walking passed it never looking to see what it contained. Does anyone know what happened if it got picked up?

I've always been grateful whenever a total stranger offered me help (which has happened at least three times in my life). I could see they had no fear of me--they just wanted to help, and I remind myself to do likewise whenever I can. Otherwise, I'm simply damaging my soul. And I know this life is a tiny slice of time compared to eternity.
That was a dumb thing allowing those two in the car, the guys were not just hitchhiking , they were blocking traffic, how didn't they notice that the truck driver and other cars avoided them. They have to be very dumb not noticing that.
