      At the cost of freedom and comfort. Degrading food, orange clothes, chemicals for soaps and beauty products, bare minimum medical and dental (pulling teeth with cavities), shared 6x8 room with grey concrete walls, noise at all hours, cold interior air even in summer (because they believe that cold temperatures reduce aggressive behavior), walking lines to the mess hall, little choice for entertainment, monitored mail and recorded phone calls (which he will still have to pay for), no baths or swimming, and a criminal record.
      What I want to know is why did he steal the car and was it used for a crime.

    • @HansRegli
      @HansRegli 2 года назад +2

      I'm not an expert, but I heard they do that because of the line of fire. In case the suspect is armed he could start to shoot at the police. If he does that the police will shoot at him. If police is in front and also behind him they can't shoot because they could hit the other police group. Perfectly reasonable.
      Generally, the most effect tactics is not to stop the car with force but just to follow him and wait until he is tired, runs out of gas, runs over a tire stop strip or calms down and gives up. As long as he doesn't endanger other people they let him drive, but if he drives recklessly and risks other's lifes they change the tactics to intervene and stop him by pit maneuver or other actions.

    • @danielheartsill4269
      @danielheartsill4269 2 года назад

      @@HansRegli I can see not creating a crossfire. However California stands fifty feet back behind car doors that will not stop gunfire. There are enough of them to see if he pulls a gun and blow his head off. Stuff like this is the reason crime is rampant in many places. I live in a city rated number 8 as the safest city in the US. It is also rated number 4 as the best city in the US to live. Our PD does not put up with much of anything Our crime rate is way below national average.

    As a German who came across a livestream yesterday and saw this, I have to say I've never seen such a bad performance of police officers in my life. Wtf is this? A sightseeing tour? It almost doesn't matter what European country you name, this would've ended very fast, even without bumping in the car, with less cars, less officers, less weapons and less car damage involved. If you ever ask yourself why it takes 3+ years to become a police officer in Germany or other countries, that's exactly why.

Especially if it's mentally instable person you have to calm the person down and de-escalate. They did this for a few minutes until he stepped out of the car, but then did this nonsense. Nobody would've send the dog here, nobody would've bumped into the car. Have you ever seen how a simple car stop is handled in Germany and other European countries and in the USA? How many European countries do I have to name for you where it's done almost the same like in Germany? Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden etc. By the way you'll find enough evidence from these countries and how it's done on RUclips.
