This is the friendliest pursuit I've ever seen, they stop for lights and stay in their own lanes how nice!
Most passive-aggressive criminal ever. 😂 Doesn't follow instructions but never does anything actually dangerous or aggressive.
Yeah one last year ran red barely missed me and crashed a half mile down the road by the hospital

This is such a dumb thing to miss...but when I first moved to SoCal from Seattle in 2002 I was so impressed with the fact that I could come home almost any day and turn on TV and watch a live chase. You could click back and forth between channels to get different views of the same chase, or see if any other pursuits are going on at the same time.

My husband and I passed by this chase. We were on the opposite side, my husband noticed the helicopters first. He said oh imagine it’s a chase? I said it is look! And then we saw the car with all the cops behind it lol

His action of endangering others, himself and running from cops, he clearly deserves to lose his license and whatever consequence comes with his action. No one is arguing that. It was just unusual to see a person running from cop driving less recklessly and and showing calm demeanor after getting off the car. You don’t expect that in a pursuit. Glad he called on himself and no one got hurt at the end.

that was the funniest part to me. I just finished watching a guy go through 10 fields and ditches and into a pond to avoid cops and another guy set a uhaul tire on fire by dragging it to escape. And this guy gets pushed gently onto a lawn and he's out looking at his paint job?

In GTA I used to see how many cops I could make angry and how police cars I could get chasing me. This looked like one of those scenes.

Two points: A- For a DUI this driver can really hold a straight line. B- could’ve easily pitted the suspect on the interstate when following the red car at low speed. Allowing the chase to return to higher speeds makes the pursuit more dangerous that just letting the car go. This tactic puts many more motorists at risk.

Those dogs are no joke! They have tremendous power and will take you down in a heartbeat. All they need is one officer and one dog. I like how the CHP acts as a team. Some have non-lethal weapons pointed at him and others have lethal weapons
It wouldn't be a police chase in Southern California if the police didn't drag it out as long as possible. They only had about 20 opportunities to pin this guy in while he was stopped.
They could have also blocked him in while stopped.

Here in Texas that persuit would not have lasted near that long. He would have been stopped in 10 minutes tops. The longer it goes, the chances of someone getting hurt or killed goes up.

What's the difference what race he or she is? That idiot has broken the law and he/she should suffer the consequences once caught. That individual should lose his/her driver's license for several years, at the very least, plus paying a very heavy fine. California courts are too lenient with these predators, which is the reason we see these pursuits on a daily basis with deadly consequences to innocent people, either also driving or walking, trying to get out of the way of the jerk causing the pursuit.

Police should also use pick-ups with steel flatbeds...if they passed the car and break in front of the suspect, he wouldn't be able to go far with a busted radiator.

I was caught up in this chase like everyone thinking it was a stolen car or warrant for his arrest and not going lightly. They reported that this guy called the cops on himself and told them he was drunk! WTF homie?
