  • Hertz is selling off its older Tesla Model 3 rental cars for as low as $14,000. This is a great opportunity to get a good deal on a Tesla Model 3, but there are a few things to keep in mind before you buy. I think you should take a close look at these cars before buying them. They do tend to get pretty beat up.
Thus, this is how you buy a Tesla Model 3 from Hertz.
    1. Do your research
Before you buy any used car, it's important to do your research. This is especially true for Tesla Model 3s, as they are still a relatively new car. Read reviews, compare prices, and make sure you know what you're getting into.
    2. Get a pre-purchase inspection
Once you've found a Tesla Model 3 that you're interested in, it's important to get a pre-purchase inspection from a qualified mechanic. This will help you identify any potential problems with the car.
    3. Be prepared to negotiate
Hertz is motivated to sell these cars, so be prepared to negotiate on the price. Don't be afraid to make a low offer, and be willing to walk away if you can't get a good deal.
With a little planning and research, you can find a great deal on a used Tesla Model 3 from Hertz.
Here are some additional tips for buying a used Tesla Model 3:
Look for cars with low mileage.
Avoid cars that have been in any accidents.
Make sure the car has all of its original parts.
    Get the car's history report.
Take the car for a test drive.

As a former Hertz employee don’t buy these please. People who rent regular vehicles are given the option to be thrown into EV’s or take nothing. They just supercharge them, and many customers know nothing about EV’s and come back with dead battery or under 20%. They also abuse scrap it and many young customers put on accelerate mode to fool around

While battery replacement can be expensive, it's not always necessary. Most Tesla batteries are designed to last for many years and retain a significant portion of their capacity. Many used Teslas on the market still have healthy batteries with plenty of range left.

Very not true. I bought at 2022 Model 3 with 70k miles. The battery only degraded 5% which is well below the expected 10% drop that most Teslas experience during the first year. So this indicates that my battery is very healthy. It cost me 25000, and combined with the total of $8000 tax incentives in my area, was a tremendous deal. I did a lot of research before making this offer work out for me

Once Ev's are relatively easily repairable or the battery is able to be replaced by the average owner, only then will the used EV market hold their value better. But these first proprietary iterations of these cars were driven by corporate greed and need to make them unrepairable, forcing you to have to return to the dealer and pay exorbitant prices for mundane repairs. Car manufacturers, energy companies and big oil have the technology to simplify and standardize EV's, just as was done with ICE cars, they just haven't figured out how to charge you for electricity that is becoming increasingly cheap or can be gotten for free. Hence the reason for the over-complication of the design of these cars making them wildly expensive and proprietary to repair. It's a chit-show, don't buy them.

    Tesla Model 3
According to Edmunds, the market value of a 2021 Tesla Model 3 with 20,000 miles driven per year and no additional options is estimated to be between $21,821 and $38,502
    Then I asked AI (Copilot):
what is the resale price of a Hertz used car based on the original selling price
    AI:
I found a report that states that Hertz used vehicles are selling at nearly $1,400 below market value, on average
    ==========
Hertz should be selling a 2 year old Model 3 with 20,000 miles for about $20,000
