Went from an early 2018 LR AWD to a 2024 Performance last Saturday. I hadn't been in any newer Model 3 since the very first ones to roll off the production line 7 years ago, and I was very surprised at how much of an upgrade it was practically everywhere. Had heard everyone saying they haven't improved much, but they must have been comparing to 2022s or something. It's a big improvement coming from anything prior to 2021.
@RIVvideos yeah. About a week after getting our new one I went to Tesla and ordered the 2024 suspension parts to put on our 2018. Made a tremendous difference in the ride quality.
I thought the old model 3 performance was so amazing and had no down sides. Now Ryan stopped the end of the vid becuase he was about to say all the things it was terrible at after realizing that real cars feel like. 😂😂 and that's not even real cars it's just a new standard for cars that he has owned. Put him in a porsche and he'd be saying the new model 3 is trash 😂 why u always gotta take bias reviews like this with a grain of salt. U can only form opinions based on the cars (or lack of) that u have driven.
Feel like you have really grown over time as a content creator Ryan. Way more confident now, whole production has gone to another level. That car looks unreal
I've had mine for about two weeks. Insane mode is no joke. I have to keep it in chill mode during my daily drives to work just to stop myself from constantly doing pulls.

@@RyanCowan Hey Ryan. Unfortunately, traffic in Brisbane was so bad that I couldn’t see the point going beyond test driving the LR. It took me 45 min of driving for an opportunity to test the potential of the dual motors. I have to say, it’s so much fun, leaving all the ICE (including a Toyota Aurion 3.5L V6) in the dust. Will try on a more quiet day to test the Performance but I think if Tesla was to come out with the Acceleration Boost, that would be best bang for buck. Keep up the good work Ryan.
I test drove the performance from Tesla Mulgrave last week, turned on to the freeway had the exact same experience as you, I felt like I almost passed out! Funny to hear you describe the sensation in exactly the same words I used :)
The craziest part about this is there is literally no one in the driver's seat the entire time. Jokes aside, great video man. Best production quality of any tesla content out there. Tesla would do well to hire you to make video ads for them.
It's insane how they can put that much power into such an otherwise "regular" car. The Stealth with white seats is a nice combo. I'd paint the calipers white and black out the remaining chrome as you suggested.
Being a South African, I must say it feels great to see right-hand drive Tesla's! Gives me hope LOL. The M3P really is a step up from the previous version...hope we get it soon...otherwise I'll have to move to Australia!!!

Ended up getting the MY as the leasing(0%) and deals were I am were too good to pass up! Actually really like it now & love the space in the MY! Juniper will be incredible but I like my stalks too :) very happy with the MY overall
As an initial and current performance owner, SO SO SO GLAD that I went with the EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE AND STILL EXTREMELY FAST Model 3 LR AWD. I can’t go back to that rugged and rough performance suspension. I’ll never take it to the track either.

Speaking as a Model 3 LR 2022 owner (Ryzen with sensors), this is an incredibly well made video of a brilliant car. I positively don't want to try one until I'm ready to retire mine, in about 8 years or so - so better you than me. 😅
I have owned a total of four cars so far, and all of them were white. The car I currently drive is also white. So, when I decided to purchase the Tesla Model 3 Performance, I didn't hesitate to choose white. However, when I first visited the Tesla service center for a demo drive, I found the Stealth Grey to be incredibly impressive. Despite this, I initially planned to stick with my habit and buy the white one, which also looks great. Yesterday, I ordered the car with the white exterior. But today, I visited the service center once more for a final demo drive. Luckily, I got to see the Model 3 in black, grey, and white all at once. Although none of them were the Performance model, I realized once again that grey looked the best to me. So, I changed my order from white to grey today. I can't wait to receive the car. Until it arrives, I'll have to find satisfaction by watching your videos.
Congrats !! I would also find this a hard decision to make 😅 But great choice with the Stealth Grey. The more time I spent with it, the more I loved the colour. Enjoy mate !
I don't know about the M3P, but yesterday I took the RWD for a test drive and found the braking to be very weak, I had to put a lot of pressure on my foot to brake in an emergency, something that never happens in my current Mercedes where the brake pedal is super sensitive.
Here in the US the federal government will give you $7500 and I live in Seattle, WA who just started offering an additional $5000 on top of the $7500 and until the end of Sept. Tesla is allowing you to FSD if you buy a new vehicle.I couldn't resist... So I traded my 2020 model 3 to Tesla and they gave a little over $20,000. I picked it up a week about and I am in love.... zero regrets!! Such an improvement over my 2020. Double pane windows so it is a lot quieter inside, a new suspension system for a smoother ride, they added more speakers to the car and wow is it fast... I have the exact same experience it felt like I was on roller coaster and my stomach went right up into my throat.....
I got the 22 M3 Performance, I dont know if I want this 2024 one without the stalk signals and gear shift. It doesn't seem like a huge upgrade for me but I still want to check out the noise isolation and ventilated seats.
Just picked up my new Model 3 on Monday. Coming from a 2019 model it's a huge difference! I already loved that one. But ow boy. The 2024 model is next level.
I own the M3P 2022 and it goes like the clappers...this new refresh is great due to the "sport seats" as I find in my M3P I don't feel as supported around corners!
A great concise review Ryan! Here's me thinking my son's base RWD accelerates like a jet. I'm glad they dropped the seats lover for this model. Now we have to petition the Victorian Government to drop stamp duty and rego costs to match the A.C.T. I'm glad to have found the channel. Cheer Rich.

It's stealth grey. Some of the early morning shots make it look black on camera. Ultra Red with white interior looks incredible. And the Stealth grey really grew on me after a few days ! It's a very hard choice. I'm not actually convinced the white interior goes perfectly well with the stealth grey, but I'll talk about that in my next video

Awesome video. I’ve ordered mine in Ultra red with black interior due first week of July. If it wasn’t for kids would have gone white. I’m looking to get a front PPF and ceramic coating + window tinting. Not sure if rear windows are privacy glass and if so what VLT. If already 20% then I'm assuming can only tint front windows here in Victoria to 35%. Not if can get roof done. Anyone have an understanding?
It needs proper indicators, on a stalk. In fact I also want to be able to select gears with a stalk too. I’ll keep my current Tesla that has proper controls.

This is the first Tesla I've seen that actually looks like something I'd want to be seen in! I'd consider it if it was more practical. The price to performance game is exceptional. I personally can't stand the look of the current model y, but with the improvements made to the model 3 I wonder how the next gen model y will look 🤔
I saw several people claim that the seats are a step back in comfort in relation to the older Tesla seats in model 3 and Y, mainly because they are less soft. Would you agree?
I wouldn't agree with that. Comfort felt the same and they look great. The ventilation however didn't seem to work as well in these sport seats vs the standard model 3... which I will mention in my next video
I'm surprised you thought it was that fast- lots of complaints about the LG battery feeling underwhelming. Good to know as I have the Canadian version on the way
This will be at least as fast as the previous m3p to 100kph and then faster after that. The vast majority of people have never been in a car remotely as fast as the previous model 3. I think you'll love it.
This is so good i love the New Model 3 and i am glade they put a back screen for the back passengers and i do like the new seats and the RGB lighting but i Don't like the new indicters. I love the back with the new logo. And I love all the software with the tesla love the video is well

Great review - although the best price to straight line speed on the market today is by far the MG4 XPOWER - 0-100 in 3.8 seconds at 59k AUD. Also not a fan of that ludicrous speed badge - it looks so cheap lol maybe better in person?

Once you get used to the one pedal driving you'll never look back. Hopefully you can take the performance for a test drive !

Thanks ryan for anthoer amazing review. I test drove both LR and M3P, M3P is far better in supportive sport-seats and fine tuned CDC suspension. Not to much the brake feeling is much better than spongy LR.
This is the first Tesla I've seen that actually looks like something I'd want to be seen in! I'd consider it if it was more practical. The price to performance game is exceptional.
I personally can't stand the look of the current model y, but with the improvements made to the model 3 I wonder how the next gen model y will look 🤔

I wouldn't agree with that. Comfort felt the same and they look great. The ventilation however didn't seem to work as well in these sport seats vs the standard model 3... which I will mention in my next video

This will be at least as fast as the previous m3p to 100kph and then faster after that. The vast majority of people have never been in a car remotely as fast as the previous model 3. I think you'll love it.
This is so good i love the New Model 3 and i am glade they put a back screen for the back passengers and i do like the new seats and the RGB lighting but i Don't like the new indicters. I love the back with the new logo. And I love all the software with the tesla love the video is well
Good job you stopped there! I agree the MY by comparison would be like a bus vs a car. Still does tbh even having seen it for more than a year on the road, like every time I pass one of them. Whereas a M3 still looks cool, know what I mean? Nah, I can’t afford a M3P.

I regret not getting the white interior but glad for the outside quicksilver color. My son did a good job talking me out of white by claiming it's better suited for a girl.

I'm not a fan of EVs but this isn't a bad looking car... here in the US or at least in Texas, I don't see many people wanting one. In fact, I got a 0%APR offer from Tesla for a M3P and it made me curious which how I stumbled upon this video... Great review btw.. simple, to the point... there's so many M3s on the market here esp near Austin and they're pretty cheap rn... who knows I may just give one a try...

Great review - although the best price to straight line speed on the market today is by far the MG4 XPOWER - 0-100 in 3.8 seconds at 59k AUD.

@RyanCowan that's a terrible news for ICE performance cars and Tesla's own pre FL Model 3 Performance. Their used values is about to get decimated.
great car only issue is the brakes on the track, they fade pretty quickly unfortunately.
