@@RyanCowan Hey Ryan. Unfortunately, traffic in Brisbane was so bad that I couldn’t see the point going beyond test driving the LR. It took me 45 min of driving for an opportunity to test the potential of the dual motors. I have to say, it’s so much fun, leaving all the ICE (including a Toyota Aurion 3.5L V6) in the dust. Will try on a more quiet day to test the Performance but I think if Tesla was to come out with the Acceleration Boost, that would be best bang for buck. Keep up the good work Ryan.
Went from an early 2018 LR AWD to a 2024 Performance last Saturday. I hadn't been in any newer Model 3 since the very first ones to roll off the production line 7 years ago, and I was very surprised at how much of an upgrade it was practically everywhere. Had heard everyone saying they haven't improved much, but they must have been comparing to 2022s or something. It's a big improvement coming from anything prior to 2021.
@RIVvideos yeah. About a week after getting our new one I went to Tesla and ordered the 2024 suspension parts to put on our 2018. Made a tremendous difference in the ride quality.
I thought the old model 3 performance was so amazing and had no down sides. Now Ryan stopped the end of the vid becuase he was about to say all the things it was terrible at after realizing that real cars feel like. 😂😂 and that's not even real cars it's just a new standard for cars that he has owned. Put him in a porsche and he'd be saying the new model 3 is trash 😂 why u always gotta take bias reviews like this with a grain of salt. U can only form opinions based on the cars (or lack of) that u have driven.

As an initial and current performance owner, SO SO SO GLAD that I went with the EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE AND STILL EXTREMELY FAST Model 3 LR AWD. I can’t go back to that rugged and rough performance suspension. I’ll never take it to the track either.
Ditto. Very happy 4 month owner of the Highland 2024 M3LR here in the UAE and the combination of acceleration and range is perfection. Still though, wouldn't mind test driving the performance to feel that 3.1 acceleration high!
This is so good i love the New Model 3 and i am glade they put a back screen for the back passengers and i do like the new seats and the RGB lighting but i Don't like the new indicters. I love the back with the new logo. And I love all the software with the tesla love the video is well
It's insane how they can put that much power into such an otherwise "regular" car. The Stealth with white seats is a nice combo. I'd paint the calipers white and black out the remaining chrome as you suggested.
I regret not getting the white interior but glad for the outside quicksilver color. My son did a good job talking me out of white by claiming it's better suited for a girl.
I have owned a total of four cars so far, and all of them were white. The car I currently drive is also white. So, when I decided to purchase the Tesla Model 3 Performance, I didn't hesitate to choose white. However, when I first visited the Tesla service center for a demo drive, I found the Stealth Grey to be incredibly impressive. Despite this, I initially planned to stick with my habit and buy the white one, which also looks great. Yesterday, I ordered the car with the white exterior. But today, I visited the service center once more for a final demo drive. Luckily, I got to see the Model 3 in black, grey, and white all at once. Although none of them were the Performance model, I realized once again that grey looked the best to me. So, I changed my order from white to grey today. I can't wait to receive the car. Until it arrives, I'll have to find satisfaction by watching your videos.

Decisions decisions. I have a 2022 M3LR at the moment and have been thinking about upgrading. Been thinking about going to a MYLR in Quicksilver with white interior because I’m getting old 😂. Starting to think I may have one more M3 in me, and the performance model is very enticing indeed.🤦♂️
I don't know about the M3P, but yesterday I took the RWD for a test drive and found the braking to be very weak, I had to put a lot of pressure on my foot to brake in an emergency, something that never happens in my current Mercedes where the brake pedal is super sensitive.

But I'm like you, I bought my Model Y for the practicality side over the looks. Plus I think if I had the M3P I'd lose my licence pretty quick!
I test drove the performance from Tesla Mulgrave last week, turned on to the freeway had the exact same experience as you, I felt like I almost passed out! Funny to hear you describe the sensation in exactly the same words I used :)
It's insane what you get for your money here. It turns supercar performance into a mass market commodity, available to any average Joe. In other words, speed no longer is a luxury item that separates you from the herd the way Lambo's and 911's used to do. In my eyes, this changes the classic car market. Since EVERY classic car is slow by today's standards, it no longer matters which engine you chose. Base models become as valuable as the top spec cars. Vibe and character become more important, as it is something Teslas and other equally generic competitors cannot deliver.
What is it about Tesla that makes me want one so badly? I have hired them on, I think 3 or 4 different occasions. So, do they release some kind of pheromone or drug that creates this, I need this drug, or something like that? But, with that said, I have no desire for a Model X🤢
Here in the US the federal government will give you $7500 and I live in Seattle, WA who just started offering an additional $5000 on top of the $7500 and until the end of Sept. Tesla is allowing you to FSD if you buy a new vehicle.I couldn't resist... So I traded my 2020 model 3 to Tesla and they gave a little over $20,000. I picked it up a week about and I am in love.... zero regrets!! Such an improvement over my 2020. Double pane windows so it is a lot quieter inside, a new suspension system for a smoother ride, they added more speakers to the car and wow is it fast... I have the exact same experience it felt like I was on roller coaster and my stomach went right up into my throat.....
Awesome video. I’ve ordered mine in Ultra red with black interior due first week of July. If it wasn’t for kids would have gone white. I’m looking to get a front PPF and ceramic coating + window tinting. Not sure if rear windows are privacy glass and if so what VLT. If already 20% then I'm assuming can only tint front windows here in Victoria to 35%. Not if can get roof done. Anyone have an understanding?
I don't think that the price difference worth buying it between the Dual motor and the performance... I understand that the astetic is appealing... true that it is quicker, and so on... but in the real life, and for how long we keep the car, doesn't worth paying the extra... Nowadays cars are so much more expensive, and after a while we change and so on, that the less we pay in the beginning the less we loose in the end... I tried the S, M3 DMotor M3 Performance, MY DMotor and the only thing that I loved in the 3 was the Silence, the M3 is less noisier.... Y family car and easy entry, M3P a kids car since kids are more nervous... like the ones with BMW M2 😂...

I haven't been able to choose a color yet. Is your car in the video black or stealth gray? It sometimes looks like stealth gray and sometimes like black. Which color do you recommend the most?
It's stealth grey. Some of the early morning shots make it look black on camera. Ultra Red with white interior looks incredible. And the Stealth grey really grew on me after a few days ! It's a very hard choice. I'm not actually convinced the white interior goes perfectly well with the stealth grey, but I'll talk about that in my next video

Thanks for the vid, just took delivery of a model 3 LR and I'm super impressed, the G Forces with the dual motors entering a motorway/freeway is insane and have to ask the family inside if they're 'okay' as they seem to be with the fairies after the g force pull.. I could only imagine the performance model 🤪
The craziest part about this is there is literally no one in the driver's seat the entire time. Jokes aside, great video man. Best production quality of any tesla content out there. Tesla would do well to hire you to make video ads for them.

How does someone young afford tesla cars? I have a red one in America ordered. Just got my VIN but two decades older and will struggle to pay for it. But I wanted one. Rear seating though very small. I'm six foot and no one is sitting behind me. Rear screen useless for me so hopefully can turn it off.
It’s only 0.60 seconds quicker than a Model Y Performance…yet, has 50% LESS SPACE… and as of 6/29/24, in the U.S., is $2,500 MORE EXPENSIVE than the Y….😵💫
I'm not a fan of EVs but this isn't a bad looking car... here in the US or at least in Texas, I don't see many people wanting one. In fact, I got a 0%APR offer from Tesla for a M3P and it made me curious which how I stumbled upon this video... Great review btw.. simple, to the point... there's so many M3s on the market here esp near Austin and they're pretty cheap rn... who knows I may just give one a try...
Thanks ryan for anthoer amazing review. I test drove both LR and M3P, M3P is far better in supportive sport-seats and fine tuned CDC suspension. Not to much the brake feeling is much better than spongy LR.

The chrome T-logo and rear block letters look fantastic. Black would look cheap, and there'd be no contrast.

How'd you find the range? I'm not sure whether to go for the long range or performance mostly just worried about road trips around Victoria.

Thanks for the vid, just took delivery of a model 3 LR and I'm super impressed, the G Forces with the dual motors entering a motorway/freeway is insane and have to ask the family inside if they're 'okay' as they seem to be with the fairies after the g force pull.. I could only imagine the performance model 🤪

The door handles are really hard to see at night.
it might be enough to convince me t give up my Performance Stealth... might. also, the fact you put it in Chill mode, disqualifies you from Performance ownership, its the rules, i just made them up. and OMG! 2 reversing lights! Finally people will stop telling me i have a broken reversing light.. oh wait, im keeping my Stealth, so i guess still have to keep telling ppl its normal.

I'm not going to say how much you said you make a month I will let you say it on this platform but I saw your post on X the other day and from what you stated you should have no reason to not be able to afford this or any car of your liking you even mentioned you learned a lot from Andy Slye.
I also blacked out my badging on my refreshed M3 LR it makes it look even better I have it in stealth grey black interior. I also keep my screen in dark mode much better IMO.

How does someone young afford tesla cars? I have a red one in America ordered. Just got my VIN but two decades older and will struggle to pay for it. But I wanted one. Rear seating though very small. I'm six foot and no one is sitting behind me. Rear screen useless for me so hopefully can turn it off.
Got my model 3 RWD last Tuesday it’s the best car I’ve ever driven, it’s my 3rd model 3 and it’s miles ahead of my old model 3.

I'm not a fan of EVs but this isn't a bad looking car... here in the US or at least in Texas, I don't see many people wanting one. In fact, I got a 0%APR offer from Tesla for a M3P and it made me curious which how I stumbled upon this video... Great review btw.. simple, to the point... there's so many M3s on the market here esp near Austin and they're pretty cheap rn... who knows I may just give one a try...
Thanks ryan for anthoer amazing review. I test drove both LR and M3P, M3P is far better in supportive sport-seats and fine tuned CDC suspension. Not to much the brake feeling is much better than spongy LR.
