Everyone seems to be catching on to this now. I put 18 inch wheels on my 2024 M3P and am averaging 221/ Wh/mi over the past 1,900 miles. That’s almost 355 miles to a full charge. As much I as I enjoy the performance of the car, I enjoy getting the most efficiency out of even more. @thebarkingmouse Месяц назад +2

By the way I swapped out the stock wheels for t-sport Line 18-in Wheels with a square setup 235 all the way around. Just got back from driving from North Georgia to Boca Chica and back a round trip of over 2000 miles. My average consumption over 12,000 MI has been 242 Watt hours per mile which implies if I were to use the entire battery of 82 kilowatts arrange of 328 MI. And the t-sport Line Wheels ticket cost mean anything because I sold the stock wheels for more than the t-sport line wheel and tires cost. As far as comfort, it's firm but I like a firm car I've driven Porsche BMW Mercedes, mini sports cars over the years, the ride is very comfortable for daily driving. My biggest complaint with the car is that the brakes aren't really up to truly spirited driving I caught them on fire inside of a minute of 10 10ths driving. But for daily driving it is perfectly adequate if I were going to track the car I would be working on getting more air to the rotors and possibly different rotors entirely.
People complain endlessly about the lack of stocks I think that's a red herring from people who have never actually driven the car, that has been zero issue it took me less than an hour to adjust my muscle memory.

Excellent and accurate on everything you said. Mine is a daily driver. Had it since May 29th of this year. Even with all the launches I’ve done my lifetime average is 314 miles of usable range for full charge. I’ve gotten as high as 360 on some drives. My worst drives I’m down to 270miles. One thing you didn’t mention along with low profile tires is the low ride height at 5.” You have to drive it with this awareness. Lots of people curb rash their Tesla wheels and or scrap their lips because they don’t have awareness of these ride heights.

When I decided to trade in my 2020 model 3 AWD I drove every current model, considering not just my likes and dislikes but those of my wife. The Model 3 P was the standout. In my younger days I drove a Porsche, flew a hot Army scout helicopter and liked a challenge. Now I am retired and have a wife who when she drives likes a responsive car, but when I drive likes it calm and easy. Her ride is a Lexus with a modified suspension and to my surprise she approved the model 3 P. We talked about the range difference and price and she said go for it. So we did. The trade in had FSD so I moved that to the new car, and when actual FSD appears I will be a totally happy camper.

Roundabouts are EXTREMELY COMMON in some states! In Indiana… you can get sea sick as some cities have them at every intersection. That’s why I hope stalks will become an option. I believe they will as sales of new Y will be hampered by first time test drivers… so if it becomes an option in the Y it will be an option in the 3.
People said I was wrong when I said Elon was full of it when he said Yoke would be the ONLY option in the plaid etc…. Turns out he was wrong.
Same thing for the TINY little horn button that I guaranteed would change and it did.
HUNTING” for moving turn signals while turning (in roundabouts etc) is just a terrible idea as most people in roundabouts suck at driving in them and the NO stalks will only add to the danger. If nothing else, a few lawsuits will change Elons cheapness

2nd I disagree about getting use to the no stalk, maybe in US is ok, but in Europe and UK where 90% of intersections are roundabouts...jeez man you just can't do it with an upside down steering wheel and indicate out of one....NO NO NO... bring back stalks for EU version

Build quality on my 2018 Model 3 is comparable to my previous two cars - a 2001 Mercedes E320 wagon and a 2004 BMW 325ci. After 6 years, still no squeaks or rattles in the Tesla.

    • @wolfgangpreier9160

@@johnkent5042 Everybody knows that Teslas do not last longer than tw weeks and the battery must be exchanged every year and they squeack and rattle all the time and when you park them in the garage the burn every time.
Luckily you and me are not everybody.
Never had such trustworthy and easy to use cars in 45 years. My first M3 from 2019 had one failure in the 3-phase charger when one phase gave up. That was of course repaired without cost and i even got a free Model S loaner for the time.
Whereas with my Skoda Enyaq EV i had to wait 6 months for a repair of the battery and with my Fiat 500E i must go to the dealer every year for mandatory service appointments.
