Hey Andy, been watching your videos for a while and I also live near Louisville. I'm picking up my model 3 this week! You said you got your front wrapped for paint protection. Wondering where you got it done at and if you recommend that place?
Excellent video Andy. Thank you. Is there an issue with the screen brightness when night driving? Is there some type of auto dim feature like on cell phones?
First video of yours I've seen. - very clear audio - clear and concise sentences without unnecessary jargon - very thorough review - good production quality Thank you sir
I’m expecting delivery of my Model 3 in a few days. This is without a doubt the most comprehensive video I’ve seen for a new Tesla owner. Thanks for the video.

Just got my performance Model 3, maxed the specs, only about ~80K. Going to go drag racing on the freeway today. I got the red color as well. But want to wrap it in Orange. My friend wrapped his purple. I saw a hot pink Tesla yesterday as well.
I got a good supercharging tip from the Out of Spec Motoring channel. On a hot day, wrap a wet cloth around the handle at the start of the charging session. This helps to cool down the handle which allows it to pump juice faster.
I have rooftop solar, and mostly work from my home office. So if I come back from someplace after dark and need to charge my Model 3, I set the “Start Charging” time for 8:00 the following morning. That way, I’m taking advantage of the electricity my solar panels are generating, rather than buying it from the grid. I also got the same NEMA wall charger you have. However, my electrician brother said the best way to install it was for him to put in a 220V 60 amp breaker into my sub-panel, so the charger would use its maximum 48 amps. The rule of electricity usage is that any appliance - the charger in this case - should only use 80% of the capacity of the circuit breaker. With the 220V 48 amp setting, my car will charge in less than 2 hours.
Went to a Tesla dealership the other week for a test drive. We were given half an hour to take it for a spin, but because it’s such a different car from anything we’re used to it took 10 minutes just getting acquainted with it before feeling comfortable enough to start driving! So much to learn, but I’m excited and looking forward to owning one!
Seriously I’ve watched dozens of these your video is by far the most professional and comprehensive thank you other people I have an Apple phone half a brain and a mouth👍

9:10 might want to mention the left scroll wheel up/down controls the audio playing at that moment. If using navigation with alerts for upcoming turns, scrolling the left wheel up/down while an alert is being read (e.g. turn left in 0.1mi, etc.) adjusts the volume of those navigation alerts and not the media that might be playing in the background. Great vid Andy, keep up the quality content!

Things like this come easy for me even at 71 years old but some folks my age have trouble using an iPhone! My step brother being one. This would be a car he could never use. I do wish they had something in front of you like a HUD because for some folks even the slightest eye movement away from the road to the right in this case could get them buried into the screen and not on the road. However auto pilot would mitigate that in this car more than any other. When I do purchase a Tesla I am going to use your link for 1000 super charger miles as your presentations are better than any of the others I have watched. Keep up the good work. This remains a handy, dandy intro for new Tesla owners, only proviso is that much of the touchscreen section has changed due to a Christmas(?) 2021 over the air (OTA) update to the cars' software. Tesla typically has an end of year major OTA update, and several minor ones throughout the year. The OTA is really a neat feature because what other car company keeps improving your car after purchase the way Tesla does. The late 2021 OTA substantially changed the look and interface of the touchscreen. It may take a little getting used to but a handy tip is to get familiar with voice commands, it is a much safer way, when driving, of accomplishing most of the touchscreen commands without taking your eyes off the road.
Thank you so much for the detailed demo video. I am not a Tesla owner and has never driven one yet. Your video has given me a taste of owning and driving a Tesla. I will wait for the RHD Model Y!

Just ordered my Tesla Y can’t wait will have to watch this informative video a few more times. Great job. Get Tesla to upload this video in the help section of the cars menu.
If you don't mind sharing some of the details of your ownership experience I would be curious to know what type of driving you do and realistically how far you can drive between recharges. I would also be curious to know if your insurance premium increased substantially for the Tesla. Recently I helped a friend research the model 3 which he was considering as a candidate to replace his BMW 3 series. However we discover that his insurance premium would increase by 60% with the Tesla. This was a deal breaker for him.
one feature that I'd love to have/see in the future is if let's say you don't drive your car for a few days, it goes into a 'low power' mode (I don't know how this would work, but just to reduce any power that the car does not need whilst in standby) and alerts you when the car is at a set low % charge, again if you haven't driven it for a few days.
Hi Andy, thanks for your channel. I find your presentation style to be friendly and informative. This video is a must for 3 and Y owners, especially new drivers. Thanks again, Gary from Melbourne, Australia.
Another video that would be lovely is for things to check in your new tesla (or at the stand) to see if everything is OK. Like a big checklist covering everything from tyre pressure check, each panel alignment, mirrors, scratches, seats, etc...
Andy, you did a great job explaining the menus on the screen and indicating peculiarities and the workings of knobs and buttons . However, sometimes you go too fast through explanations and some people, I am sure, have a hard time following you. Thank you for your efforts.

Glad it helped!
Ask nicely Elon might have a spare joint .
Really well done. My Model Y is set for delivery in a few weeks and this will be my setup video for settings - thanks!
This is such a great video keep up the grind 😈
Thanks!
Our limo company just bought a 2021 Tesla Model Y. I appreciate the indepth walk through
Thus is such a great video Andy - well done!
Just ordered my Tesla Y can’t wait will have to watch this informative video a few more times. Great job. Get Tesla to upload this video in the help section of the cars menu.
Theres only 1 negative thing about owning tesla, and that’s time it takes to charge. Gas only takes 2 min, tesla minimum of 20 min
Thanks Gary!
Good day! I wanted to reach out and inform you that we currently have some
fantastic deals in Tesla Accessories on our eBay listing.
Another video that would be lovely is for things to check in your new tesla (or at the stand) to see if everything is OK. Like a big checklist covering everything from tyre pressure check, each panel alignment, mirrors, scratches, seats, etc...

Drinking game idea: have a shot every time Andy says "automatically" 😁
Late to the part but just took delivery of a new model 3 long range black with the white interior. Named it “The Borg” and I’m in love with it.
This is an awesome user’s guide to Tesla! Very detailed and informative with great tips!

Andy, you did a great job explaining the menus on the screen and indicating peculiarities and the workings of knobs and buttons .
However, sometimes you go too fast through explanations and some people, I am sure, have a hard time following you.
Thank you for your efforts.
