I love your booth. Stop being so hard on yourself. You have a real estate business, a vintage booth, and a relationship. There are only so many hours in a day. So you take a step back once in a while to rejuvenate, it is allowed. Keep up the great creativity!

We all get that burnt out feeling, my daughter and I have so many irons in the fire, but it will all pay off, and has in so many ways! We just opened a storefront, we have our booth, website, and we put on vendor markets. Wow! That was a mouthful, lol😂 you are amazing and will get your groove back, we all do eventually. Booth looks amazing as all ways! ❤

A simple way to remember how to spell Chinoiserie if the following Chino is erie so that is (Chino)= Chinese in Spanish, then the word ( is ) followed by Lake (Erie)! and viola you have Chinoiserie!

So great to see you back posting. Life happens, things interrupt, others ebb and flow. It's all a process, so just keep doing what you do and don't beat yourself up over not accomplishing all that you had hoped or as soon as you had planned. You've got a lot going on that takes your attention to manage in different arenas, so if the antique mall booth takes a back seat for a bit, so be it. We all need a re-charge from time to time, and the fact that things continue to sell there and some items move very quickly means you're still getting it done. That in itself is a good thing. It's always a treat to see your latest re-set and hear about your process, even if you don't feel that it's working quite as you planned. It looks great!

Amanda ... Thank you for the new video & booth reset ... jumped right on it when it popped up ---
You haven't lost one ounce of your mojo ... you have that inborn nack of knowing how to put things together ... classic yet modern, chic& timeless ! ( that's why the point on pieces sell ) Japandi/ Chin has always been a high end bridge between styles... You're great at keeping your anchor base colors & bringing in a new nip of shades & pattern--
Your booth looks so good and as something sells -- you bring in the new that continues to carry the "look" you're after ... that's talent !
    ( your music & side-bar looks & close-ups are 👍... )
Sending some fan-love to you & yours !

For the last 50 yrs, my living room has been decorated in blue and white Chinoiserie, classic , never out of style, some of my vases are pricey, but when I started, they were cheap! Repainted one wall in indigo blue the other 3 walls white, I live in New England and my fireplace is huge, so I needed a large white mantle to decorate, and a couple of 4 ft Foo Dogs on both sides of the fireplace. Tansue chest, habersham bar, sofa table, and pagoda lamp, etc. I love you, and your sister, you are so creative, Mom and Dad must be so proud of their girls, I love your guy Mike, my kind of man. Go for it GIRL!

If you feel your booth needs filler, buy good quality silk greenery and flowers, season groups such as Fall, holiday and Spring. Buy only modern, young looking silks that appeal to your age group. Fill your vases and crocks and lay on tables. Price them as they will sell too. Your booth is wonderful.

But, whether you call it style, quirkiness, humor, or as I think you said yourself, soul, sometimes the not that cohesive is more interesting and more you. Even on what you may term a burned out day, your work is an inspiration. I wish for you rest and replenishment. We go through different seasons, some last longer than others. I love chinoiserie (shin wah siree).... it's very easy to suffer burn out in this business...just the physical aspect can wear you out...then the creative angle...keeping your booth attractive, trying not to over fill it but yet not have it look empty and of course, to keep your head financially above water you know have to keep going...Until you are in the business, most people have no idea how much work is involved, but your booth always looks very attractive!!! Keep up the great work and rest every chance you get!!!

That one little corner where you said it needed something (I agree!) to give a little difference in heaviness next to those big tables and cabinets, I would do a fern stand topped with a good-sized cachepot (for sale) with a faux palm in it (NFS). Something very steady so that it won't tumble like a house of cards if somebody gets in there pulling the paintings and mirrors off the wall.

Your booth always looks amazing Amanda!... it looks more like a showroom than a booth! Even when it's "empty"... I covet your space and wish hope and pray I find something like it .. I have a 10 x 8 space with a 10 x 3 x 3 upper shelf area that I cram (as nicely as I can) as much as I can up there just to showcase as much as I can using many layers with small table etc.... and luckily the owners let me spread out into the hall area where they keep bigger items which helps orientate people to walk around the whole flea market space. I have only had it for a few weeks now and have had to leave it in a mess a lot just to get everything in an organized. I still have 3 cabinets that I need to move in and I may try and get another space at another market just to try and move things I have had over the years. If I didn't watch your channel and just saw the finished "resets" I would think you were in a New York Loft apartment! ...I know this video was a while ago but honestly everything I have seen you do is incredible. I went to College for a 3 year interior / architecture course and you know all the design elements naturally... and you love it so that is half the battle~!

That is just so weird! I literally just did a clip for next weeks video where I talk about having way to much on my plate and being burnt out. I filmed it just before I left for Colorado for a yoga/meditation retreat. I arrived feeling sore, tired, burned out and well just wrecked. During that retreat I found the solution. I have a store, two booths, I sell on all the major platforms and I have a RUclips channel. I decided to only do a video once every other week, visit my booths only every other week and list online only 3 days a week instead of 4. Hoping that's the solution. I hope you can find your own solution. Not giving up RUclips though because I love your videos! They are definitely an inspiration and part of the reason I opened my own up.

So glad I found you today. I have been checking your site every day wondering what had happened to you. I love watching your utube videos. I was an antique store owner for 20 years and when I sold that store property 3 years ago I had tons of inventory left. I went into an antique mall two years ago and love the fact that I do not have to sit at a store. As of this Oct I will have had my second booth in the mall. It is still a lot of work to come up with new displays and merchandise to draw people in. But it satisfies my creative spirit.

You need to do more videos. (Because I enjoy watching them) You really have a talent for videography and have a great eye for displaying inventory. I know the struggle of having a tiny booth (10x20). With a lot more space it's easy to forget about an area, but when you have limited space, many times you have to reorganize the entire space when bringing in only one piece. I have started my own YT channel and it's way easier doing a sit-down video than a vlog, but I enjoy making and watching videos when youtubers are out and about vs sitting in their basement every single video.

I started to be more consistent with my instagram and I started to noticed positive results both in engagement and acquiring new customers and sales. Now I need to apply equal amounts of consistency to my youtube channel because oh boy, it needs work , it's growing painfully slow, but I'm confident I can get there. Welcome back-I missed you! The re-do of your booth looks great. The plants were a nice touch. In my opinion, I think the tapestry looks better vertically since it looks like a tree to me. Goes with the foliage of the plants.

No need to worry, you'll get your groove back. Chinoiserie is a process, but I have every confidence in you. Would love to see more booth reboots. Would also like you to do a vlog of treasures you get from auctions, estate sales, etc, and explain your process, what inspires you, and loving the unexpected finds. Stay strong!

Having more than one business myself, I can totally relate! As the one picks up the other slows down, my vintage reseller business is so slow because I am not posting, not getting the time. But i can find time to post one thing per week, I just need to schedule it

It was so nice to see your video pop up! Everything looks great…you’re a bit hard on yourself. I get it. I had an antique store in Petaluma, CA. I loved doing the merchandising & window design. You just have to buy what you love, rotate stock frequently, & continue on social media. Great job, Amanda!

I use to have a booth at the antique store and work full time. It is so time consuming but so worth all the effort. Family had to come first for me but I enjoyed every minute of the booth. Take the time you need for yourself, we support you in your decision. We just miss watching your creativity and effort you put forth. Have fun with it so it's not just a job.
