- My first shopping trip with my RUclips click! It something that I've been wanting to do for awhile and I even filmed this same show back in 2019 but life was a little more complicated for me back then and that footage never even made to editing. I'm super lucky because this show, the Fishersville Antique Expo, is very close by and happens twice a year. It is a huge antique and vintage market, one of the largest in Virginia, full of treasures from across the country and this is their first show back! A little more curated than a flea market but I was still able to do some shopping for resale and find some good deals. I'll show them all off in the decor haul at the end along with the price I purchased them for. I'll admit that the filming of this video wasn't as smoothed as it should be so I have some practicing to do before the next "Shop with Me". My apologies for that but I hope you all are still able to get something out of it and maybe I peaked your interest to check it out this show in the future (Next show is October 8th & 9th)! I wanna do more these and go all over the state to different antique shows and malls. I really love sharing other local shop owners as well and will always try to include their social so you can check them out too. Also, I am putting together an "owning an antique booth truths" series. I think it will be way too long as a single video so I'll be breaking it up into categories.

Bad business not to tag items. Shoppers hate to ask for prices on every item & often owner is busy with other customers. I end up leaving & not buying.

I loooooove shopping with you!!!! I swear, 99% of the things you picked up or zoomed in on, I would have looked at! Great, great items. Question....obviously you knew those dealers, but do you always tell dealers that you are a resaler? For some reason I hesitate and try to keep it a secret! Loved the video.
Thank you Sharon! I hesitate too and for good reason. I've come across a few that gave me competitive vibes but for the most part others are really nice and like to connect over selling treasures. If they ask, I'm just honest about it and let the chips fall where they may. I actually only knew 2 of the dealers and the rest I grabbed a business cards from or just met that day.

Amanda, you should come visit me in florida, with a Mac truck. We have so many deals on furniture and smalls. I live in a retirement mecca and I usually never pay more than a dollar for smalls and $5-10 for furniture.
I’m curious if you ask permission to film or is it not a problem? I love that you put their social links in so it seems like they would be happy for you to film. Do they usually help you load the big items? You’re doing such a great job with all of your things! ❤️

We are very lucky with our antique fairs here. There are many and they can be HUGE. This was a small one compare to Round Top in Texas! Haven't been to that one yet but I plan to!

These r Farm House furniture.
Vintage Vendors in the East have far better items than here in the West.
Earlier furniture pieces couldn't be taken by families during the western expansion so a lot got left on the East Coast but it has slowly made it way there over time.
