Couple of things worth noting with the Kenworth: It's the second truck to have 3 slot bed + crane + trailer. Paystar 5600TS was the first. It can also have a 1800 litre fuel tank + high saddle combination. But still a great analysis. I'm also hoping they get a few unique add-ons in the future.

@@SD1ONEHey SD, I've already tested that out with the large military high saddle with just the stock Mack packed and it didn't fair well. Even low had wheel freeze ups. Honestly, I think it needs about 15-20k more torque for it to be a contender and not just another P12 that'll be forgotten ina couple weeks.

Having driven the Kenworth for two hours and the Mack last night for 4 hours, I can say I like the Mack a lot more. I always try and use unique tires for the looks and the extra challenge (Derry Special and so on). I didn't know the tire is as good as the universal tires. I use the stock gearbox, as its normal low gear works fine for me, low + is too much wheelspin. With the off-road box the consumption is kinda high so universal one is the one I recommend. I haven't flipped it yet with semi trailers and flatbed. Hauling the boat will be interesting though. The Kenworth is cool, it's a large brand name. However, the power is very bad uphill it never got past second gear and even that it couldn't keep up consistently while hauling two medium logs on the new map. Stock tires look cool, but I wish they were better like the OHD 1 tire. It is slow, but very stable and can equip the new crane, so it will definitely be useful later. Out of the two, Mack is definitely my favourite.
I like the new Mack very much, I haven't seen such a realistic truck in this game for a long time. You can feel that an effort has been made to it, even the sound of the engine is not a mere conglomeration of random sounds of various trucks, it is really pleasant to listen to. As for the Kenworth, I can say that it is a nice and large piece of equipment, unfortunately very bulky and cannot be used for every task. I would also add that, unfortunately, also on the hills I feel a lack of power in relation to its weight and carrying capacity.
No more problems than other vehicles in heavy terrain when pulling large rig trailers. Throw it in Low+, make sure AWD is on. That said, it’s top speed in 5th gear seems governed to say the least…
@@TacticsTechniquesandProcedures I did exactly the same, it helps a little but still doesn't solve the problem. My stupidity, however, is that I used the Real Life Mod, which strongly changes the physics to a more difficult one, the weight of loads to a greater one, but also changes the performance of truck engines and gearbox ratios. And unfortunately, it has not yet been updated to the latest vehicles in the game to be able to handle heavier loads.
Great video, as always. Difficult to understand why some axel collisions work in some trucks and others don't. It may be related to snow maps as deep snow can significantly drag under trucks with axel collision. Just a theory!
One pattern I noticed is that trucks which dont originally has AWD has their front axles higher originally so those upgeaded AWD axles retains old collision model...but thats just my theory and it doesnt apply to every truck...for ex: some trucks like paystar 5070 which comes default with AWD also has higher collision model than actual axles
These have become my favorite trucks along with the Derry Special. I used Big Kenny to rescue the Derry Special and there was no struggle at all. Also used it on Urska River to open the warehouse. It's been doing quite well for me even in the snow and ice.
The Mack had the feel of one of the OG trucks. I feel a bond to it somehow. And now it’s my most used truck. It even held its own in season 4 for a little bit. (I like to test out my trucks on that map). I like the Kenny too I nicknamed it big red.

That is where you are wrong. The Kenworth has its issues but it is still one of the best trucks whereas the P12 (and the other Pacific trucks for that matter) are all garbage. The Azov 5 is also not very good due to its fuel problems.
One correction, you say in the video that the Kenworth is the first truck to have a 3-slot bucket another crane with an implement, but in fact it is the second, as the International Paystar 5600TS can also do this combination, despite this error, the video is great, as always.

It's unbelieveable how hard is to move the new crane with the kenworth, is like you load a planet on it, then you get the azov 73210, and "it's not that much" For me the kenworth needs the engine of the kolobs

@@frosty848 the numbers, man, the numbers. Also the number of wheels. Sure, an axle gets more power, when the torque is distributed to each one, but having more axles helps with weight spreading. That's why Azov 7 is better than Kenworth with that crane, despite having slightly less torque and far smaller wheels. Plus, Azov sports heavy 200 kg wheels (10*200 = 2000 kg of unsprung weight) against superheavy Kenworth wheels =6*600 kg = 3600 kg of unsprung weight. That also counts, the engine is struggling to move such huge wheels. Which doesn't explain how the Kolobs don't struggle with having exactly same wheels, but 8 of them.
How many times have the devs added a truck with a realistic axle collider only to change it later because the truck turned out to be useless? And yet they keep making that same mistake over and over again.
@@SD1ONE I would agree with you except for one problem. We can't clear the rocks out of the road. If we could actually clear the rocks from the road, and have them stay cleared permanently, I would be more than happy to have realistic axle collisions. But having realistic axle collisions with the sheer amount of rocks and logs they put on the roads (combined with the EXTREMELY sensitive suspension damage mechanic) would just make the game frustrating rather than challenging. It would also be a good opportunity to introduce new addons and vehicle types to the game. Bull dozers, plows, etc, that can be used to clear road debris or push deep snow off the road. If you want to do realism in one area, you have to do it in all areas. You can't have realism on one aspect and not in another.
Very good review SD. I was personally very impressed with the Mack! As a predominant mod user, the Mack has become my favorite general workhorse. IMO, if it had 50" tires or they reduced the fuel consumption by 1-gal/min, this truck would be a solid S tier truck! But til then, solid A tier...maybe A+. The Kennworth is a huge huge disappointment though. Its got endless addons and combos, but you can't use alot of em simply due Its severe lack of power. IMHO, just because its low power output, this truck doesn't offer anything over the majority of other trucks so it's not really justified using it unless you want a hard challenge Lol
You have strange tastes and preferences, are you a masochist? There is no more ridiculous and useless car in this game. High fuel consumption, small wheels and poor maneuverability. In the game, the roles of heavy vehicles are not spelled out at all, there is no balance, in fact, these heavyweights are not needed. One all-terrain vehicle is enough and the whole game can be completed.
i hope one day we will see vehicles with tracks like quad tracks for wheels and maybe something like the ripsaw for scouting and stuff maybe even a stripped down BMP that carrys supplies would be cool
A definite caveat needs to be added for realistic axle collisions, since it not only affects rocks but deep mud as well. With the collision model so low, it means that it is dragging it's axles through mud, completely submerged, as well. Even in more depth 2 (mud/water to centerline of axle/wheel) it induces a significant amount of drag across all the axles that other trucks simply don't have to deal with. At more depth 3 (mud/water up to frame/chassis) the is an even more significant impact. I would love to see a modded collision model of these trucks that is more in keeping with other Snowrunner trucks and compare them against their original versions to see how much impact the new collision models have on traversing deep terrain.
I like how the mack and kenworth have a roof rack, and are some of the largest vehicles in the game to do. But uh... how is anyone supposed to get anything out of them? Most of the roof racks in snow runner are at least somewhat realistic y'know? Theres ladders or its in a spot where you could climb up to it. You would need a 15 foot ladder to even reach it on these two xD
Come to think about it I haven't used the Mack yet. Since we finally had another 8X8 American truck with the 3 axles in the rare and 1 axle up front setup, I put the long log attachment on the Mack to finally have a proper running mate to go alongside my Derry 4520. But all I remember Season having 10 having so far is short and medium logs.
Not sure it important but the 963 can do a fuel tank and high saddle. It can't do anything with that as the saddle is to close to the tank but it's interesting that it can be done.
I looked at the files... The Kenworth base tires are a whopping 1.0 for mud. and 1.7 for dirt (1.6 for asphalt). Atleast it looks dope. The MSH II is also a 1.7 dirt, but amongst the best for mud with 3.2. The Mack tires are 1.8 in mud and 2.3 in dirt, the next best option is the MHS II which is 2 for dirt and 2.4 for mud. It should be noted that dirt traction matters in mud also, so that stat not all useless in those cases. The best engine for the Kenworth is the bottom one, with 265k torque, for the Mack, its the middle one with 235k torque (bottom has 220k). The strongest engine in the game is the Derry Special's bottom engine at 280k torque for reference.
I made a bit of a screwup, Mack cannot get MHS II, its best is MHS I which is 2 on both dirt and mud. Considering this, the base tires might be better although that is debatable

Isn't it strange that last update gave us the Derry Special, which basically has no drivetrain collision model? And then this update brings two new trucks with more realistic drivetrain collision. Seems like a dramatic shift
derry in PTS had realistic collision model but it was crating a lot of issues so they changed it later....I think they'll do that with mack too if enough people complain although its not as bad as it was in derry originally
I feel like the Kenworth is gonna be a really specialized truck that excels at a couple things, and shouldn't really be used for anything else. Like how the P16 is amazing at hauling really heavy loads on flat dirt roads, and that's about it. Seems like Kenworth could do with an engine buff as well. But all that's okay, because it looks incredible!
@@SD1ONE It's cool that studio officials are confirming that custom addons will be coming eventually, but I want them to add more in general. It's a bit of a bitter pill anymore when they release a new DLC truck (paid or not) that looks amazing and is great to use, and then it has all the same generic addons as everything else. I'm not asking them to give every single truck their own, unique addons, but at least do the Mudrunner thing where Russian and American ones look different. It gets boring seeing the same truck bodies on EVERYTHING.
I really like both trucks :) they are very welcome in the game . Now all i want is more mod options like.being able to install a 2nd or bigger fuel tanks in the game 🤣. Or bigger engines 😂 or at high expense commonrail to increase power and economy
You forget to say that Kenworth is for now the heaviest truck in franchise, beating even Kolobs. And if you count any other adventages, it seems that Kenworth paid so much to Saber to show it's truck as a beast of all beasts
That depends on how you see truck weights...I consider wheel weight too because you can't detach the wheels from the truck and with wheels kolob 747 is still slightly heavier....I avoided mentioning weight because it would only angry the people in comment section who measure weight without wheels... In the end it depends on person to person.

I’m running the fuel tank and saddle high with roof rack setup on my Kenworth to do long hauling. That fuel economy is downright abysmal up hills or in deep mud with AWD on
@@KurNorock You just have to pay attention where you're going. That combined with its absurd power to weight ratio with the top engine just makes it wonderful to use.
I really like it, the 1430 seems better in mud with the ohd tires compared to the 49x with the uod tires even tho the 1430 lacks diff lock, but the 49x looks better to me and and is good to be a little more of a challenge
very useful video, i personally would like the mack to have at least a bit bigger fuel tank, i'm happy with the truck generally, but the fuel drains way too fast when it starts to struggle or even on asphalt. so at least a 450l tank would mostly improve the distance you can go with it + the roof fuel. but thats only my opinion and wish. kenny should have maybe a bit stronger engine, but generally its a very awesome truck
I have the hardest time finding the trucks I bought. So when I buy a map are the trucks in the map to find? Wish they’d change the vehicles library as well.
i feel like the collision system on kenny is a pre-nerf because this truck would have been just too good. and they didn't give it too much power as well to keep it fair. But what about fuel efficiency? can we take it on a jurney ?
Because it struggles most of time and also new region is hilly area...so it consumes a lot of fuel but thankfully fuel tank is like 500L+ and also has additional fuel in roof rack...so it's not an issue
This is why I HATE the very concept of "balance" in a game. It ruins everything. I don't want balance. I want the tricks to perform as they do in real life. Period.
@@SD1ONE The thing is, I exclusively play co-op and literally nobody uses either of those vehicles. Why would you if you have other options? The Antarctic is unstable, unpleasant to drive (being articulated,) and doesn't have many addons, and you could use something like the 605 if you want a similar level of extreme-terrain mobility but with better functionality. The 49X is a mediocre semi-tractor; there are plenty of other vehicles that can fit a saddle and don't have a dead axle. Also, the vehicle class literally doesn't matter; you never have to use a specific class of vehicle for any task. Additionally, there are quite a few vehicles that are arguably mis-classified: for example, the Step 310, Freightliner 114, and Paystar 5070 are all statistically comparable to the vehicles in the HD class, as is the MH9500 when fully upgraded. Seriously, look up the truck selection spreadsheet from the subreddit and you can see that all of those trucks are very similar in size, weight, power, and capabilities. This is a bit of a tangent, but this topic might be something you'd be interested in doing a video on. Anyways, with all that in mind, my thoughts would be to compare the Kenworth (even though it's only 3-axle) to the other large, but capable trucks: the Derry Special, either/both Zikz 6s, the Azov 6/7 maybe, but *not*, say, the Kolobs or Twinsteer, due to being much more limited in terms of addons. The Mack I think is more comparable to, say, the Azov 5 and Paystar 5600. The idea is to compare a vehicle to others that you'd pick as alternatives for the same task.
@@AtomizerX Whether someone use them or not is not the point...The reason people don't use them is either because of lack of addons and better tires but new vehicles have better tires and better addons. For example: Kenworth is like Antarctic or CAT 745C mixed with P12 but with more addons...so comparision is to give people idea that they would be like driving say Antarctic but with more addons...On other hand Paystar 5600, etc are different trucks than kenworth...they're not as bulky, not has as big tires but they do have power...It just won't make sense to compare them...Also I have to think about video lenght too...I can't compare them with all available vehicles as that would make video too long....the objective is to give people idea like how these trucks would feel to drive.
So what about the connection issues for Xbox? Are they going to fix those? Because I haven’t played snow runner in about six months because of connection issues. I started trying to play again about three days ago and found out that I can’t stay in the game more than 15 minutes without the game, crashing or kicking me. I was talking to other players in the same thing happens to them no matter who’s game it is or what they’re doing.
It's really strange that these two trucks have axle collision when as far as I know the vast majority of trucks in the game don't. I think I'd prefer if they all had them in hard mode, but not in normal mode.
Are OHS II/Mack tires really better then MHS 1/DMHS mudtires? How come? Does the dirt rating impact mud as well? That's the only way it would make sense.
In whole narrow singles tires category, OHS II are best...I would recommend you to watch Nathan Province mud running tips video where he showed all tire types and also mentioned which one are best for what.
I’ve noticed in other videos aswell it seems like PC the water effects on the tires seems to be better than console, is that a mod or is it just better on pc . On console the water just blobs over the tires it doesn’t seem to splash and spray like pc
I installed no such mods... settings are at high not even ultra...But In some Consoles games There're 2 presets...one is high graphics but low resolution like 1080p other is high resolution but low settings like at 4k
I can contact them through email like any other person but it's upto them to respond or not but I think they'll solve that issue if more people noticed it.

Now you can imagine how underpowered Kenworth would be...still 69" MHS II mud tires are no joke and can get it moving through muddy areas as long as it's not a steep climb.
And deliberately underpowered, this Canadian truck has more speed and torque in real life. I love using the P12 but I really wish the devs would give it the engine it deserves.
Really hate it when it’s that big of a truck yet lacks so much power but yet burns fuel and has a fuel tank the size of a fiat’s on it. Lol also I never run mud tires cause of that Mack test. Idk why but off-road tires are the best for me. Especially when you can get dual wheels.
There both realistic trucks especially the Kentworth because yes it lacks power in irl its like that too its an oil rig truck there meant for long dirt travel were they can pick up speed and barel over hills with rarely any mud and even with mud there usually more then one truck together
Being a fan of the P12 I am slightly miffed how it was mistaken for a P16. It is a good video, but I am unlikely to be able to go beyond the base game because of the cost of each and every DLC. I would much rather see an increase to the P12’s engine matching the power and speed it has in real life.
To me, it feels like the max rpm on yhe kenworth is too low. Its a 2stroke detroit it should rev a lot higher. If it is indeed an error, it would explain low power output
I can get my P12 moving uphill but some hills need a winch, but this is in Michigan and there are a lot of other maps. I experimented with tyres in Michigan.
@metalheartmugglebody.8328 try other map lol , michigan is like tutorial , nothing get stuck there , but the point is when you look at p12 , have good tires and one of the very powerful engine in game and it barely move itself 🫣
I’m looking forward to other maps but at the moment I’m still in Michigan and have been backwards and forwards to Alaska. The P12 does okay so far in Alaska, it’s not quick but it has served me well so far.
Mack's okay. It's good, but not OP. Kenny's facing the same problem as the F-750 and the Mastodon faced. Underpowered engines, especially for their size. Hopefully patched at some point, or upgraded engines make it better.
During my tests Mack (with load) it achieved almost worst time (at the level of GMC MH9500/Freightliner 114SD) and almost worst fuel consumption (International Paystar 5600TS only burned more)... It seems that the advanced gearbox could help him a lot. Kenworth - quite interesting results, good time and not high fuel consumption...
@@vladvulcan I checked, it doesn't help. Even the White Western Star 4964 does a better time and burns 20 liters less fuel (I play in hard mode)... I'm disappointed, maybe it can manage without a load, but this game is about carrying loads and this truck has huge problems with it especially uphill, but light mud is also a problem.
@@Don_Mag well, duh, how can you even compare? WWS is much less powerful. You need to compare Mack to the ANK, it has a similar consumption and even more power. WWS: 155k torque at the cost of 6.5 consumption; Defense M917: 232k torque for 10.0 consumption. ANK: 210k torque for 10.0 consumption.
Mack is 6/10 Not very powerfull at all but at least has some roof rack and some versatility Kenworth is 8/10 Looses too much power climbing hills full of cargo and has bad handling but overall it can do anything and handle most terrain Kenworth 963 is the best american truck only with CAT 745G as competition for performance but nothing else

I don't get it ... on paper MHS I are almost the same as OHS II with slightly better mud rating. Same weight and width ... MHS I should be better in mud.
@@vladvulcan That's right, they have a much better dirt rating. But if the first two tires in the test was completely stuck in the mud. I guess that means the tires didn't touch the bottom. If they were in contact with solid ground, they would not get stuck. Unless the OHS II sink in the mud a bit more, but as I wrote, the same width and weight ... too complicated or just random behavior? :)
I think why Kenny is not the best at offroad because most of the time in real life its used on the road or light ofroading so that probley why it has allteraners
The axel collision and tire height of the Mack make it nigh unusable. The Kenworth will power through and over any and everything. Superior to the Mack by far. Fuel burn in the Mack is ludicrous as well.

The Mack had the feel of one of the OG trucks. I feel a bond to it somehow. And now it’s my most used truck. It even held its own in season 4 for a little bit. (I like to test out my trucks on that map). I like the Kenny too I nicknamed it big red.

That is where you are wrong. The Kenworth has its issues but it is still one of the best trucks whereas the P12 (and the other Pacific trucks for that matter) are all garbage. The Azov 5 is also not very good due to its fuel problems.
My only issue with the Kenworth is it seems to lack torque even with a 15L I still use it though.

One correction, you say in the video that the Kenworth is the first truck to have a 3-slot bucket another crane with an implement, but in fact it is the second, as the International Paystar 5600TS can also do this combination, despite this error, the video is great, as always.

Among those unique add-ons Saber promises, a dump body for the Mack is a must.
They can add that but game has no cargo that's suitable for dumb bed...still I don't know maybe they introduce something.
@@SD1ONE Phase 2 Yukon, the special Cat trailer that hauls boulders, you could haul gravel with the dump body, as matter of fact, the 770G has not used since Phase 2.

@@frosty848 the numbers, man, the numbers. Also the number of wheels. Sure, an axle gets more power, when the torque is distributed to each one, but having more axles helps with weight spreading. That's why Azov 7 is better than Kenworth with that crane, despite having slightly less torque and far smaller wheels. Plus, Azov sports heavy 200 kg wheels (10*200 = 2000 kg of unsprung weight) against superheavy Kenworth wheels =6*600 kg = 3600 kg of unsprung weight. That also counts, the engine is struggling to move such huge wheels.
Which doesn't explain how the Kolobs don't struggle with having exactly same wheels, but 8 of them.
How many times have the devs added a truck with a realistic axle collider only to change it later because the truck turned out to be useless? And yet they keep making that same mistake over and over again.
I mean they do spoiled us to go over rocks and stuff without issue and now we can't go back to realistic axles.
@@SD1ONE I would agree with you except for one problem. We can't clear the rocks out of the road. If we could actually clear the rocks from the road, and have them stay cleared permanently, I would be more than happy to have realistic axle collisions. But having realistic axle collisions with the sheer amount of rocks and logs they put on the roads (combined with the EXTREMELY sensitive suspension damage mechanic) would just make the game frustrating rather than challenging.
It would also be a good opportunity to introduce new addons and vehicle types to the game. Bull dozers, plows, etc, that can be used to clear road debris or push deep snow off the road.
If you want to do realism in one area, you have to do it in all areas. You can't have realism on one aspect and not in another.

I was personally very impressed with the Mack! As a predominant mod user, the Mack has become my favorite general workhorse. IMO, if it had 50" tires or they reduced the fuel consumption by 1-gal/min, this truck would be a solid S tier truck! But til then, solid A tier...maybe A+.
The Kennworth is a huge huge disappointment though. Its got endless addons and combos, but you can't use alot of em simply due Its severe lack of power. IMHO, just because its low power output, this truck doesn't offer anything over the majority of other trucks so it's not really justified using it unless you want a hard challenge Lol
You have strange tastes and preferences, are you a masochist? There is no more ridiculous and useless car in this game. High fuel consumption, small wheels and poor maneuverability. In the game, the roles of heavy vehicles are not spelled out at all, there is no balance, in fact, these heavyweights are not needed. One all-terrain vehicle is enough and the whole game can be completed.
i hope one day we will see vehicles with tracks like quad tracks for wheels and maybe something like the ripsaw for scouting and stuff

A definite caveat needs to be added for realistic axle collisions, since it not only affects rocks but deep mud as well.
With the collision model so low, it means that it is dragging it's axles through mud, completely submerged, as well.
Even in more depth 2 (mud/water to centerline of axle/wheel) it induces a significant amount of drag across all the axles that other trucks simply don't have to deal with.
At more depth 3 (mud/water up to frame/chassis) the is an even more significant impact.
I would love to see a modded collision model of these trucks that is more in keeping with other Snowrunner trucks and compare them against their original versions to see how much impact the new collision models have on traversing deep terrain.
I like how the mack and kenworth have a roof rack, and are some of the largest vehicles in the game to do. But uh... how is anyone supposed to get anything out of them? Most of the roof racks in snow runner are at least somewhat realistic y'know? Theres ladders or its in a spot where you could climb up to it. You would need a 15 foot ladder to even reach it on these two xD
Come to think about it I haven't used the Mack yet. Since we finally had another 8X8 American truck with the 3 axles in the rare and 1 axle up front setup, I put the long log attachment on the Mack to finally have a proper running mate to go alongside my Derry 4520.
But all I remember Season having 10 having so far is short and medium logs.
Yeah, So far I also haven't find Long logs in this season....I find most of the tasks and stuff but not a single long logs mission is found yet.
Season 10 doesn't have any long log anything. Which, honestly is quite surprising as B.C. has alot of logging irl.

Not sure it important but the 963 can do a fuel tank and high saddle. It can't do anything with that as the saddle is to close to the tank but it's interesting that it can be done.

I looked at the files... The Kenworth base tires are a whopping 1.0 for mud. and 1.7 for dirt (1.6 for asphalt). Atleast it looks dope.
The MSH II is also a 1.7 dirt, but amongst the best for mud with 3.2.
The Mack tires are 1.8 in mud and 2.3 in dirt, the next best option is the MHS II which is 2 for dirt and 2.4 for mud.
It should be noted that dirt traction matters in mud also, so that stat not all useless in those cases.
The best engine for the Kenworth is the bottom one, with 265k torque, for the Mack, its the middle one with 235k torque (bottom has 220k). The strongest engine in the game is the Derry Special's bottom engine at 280k torque for reference.
I made a bit of a screwup, Mack cannot get MHS II, its best is MHS I which is 2 on both dirt and mud. Considering this, the base tires might be better although that is debatable
Correction: Mack tires have 2.8 dirt rating. MC-V8 13.0L has 232k torque.

Isn't it strange that last update gave us the Derry Special, which basically has no drivetrain collision model? And then this update brings two new trucks with more realistic drivetrain collision. Seems like a dramatic shift
derry in PTS had realistic collision model but it was crating a lot of issues so they changed it later....I think they'll do that with mack too if enough people complain although its not as bad as it was in derry originally

Been used in AB, BC , NWT and Artic.. 953/963 were designed for N Africa and ME, but, couldn't be sold into China or Russia.
I feel like the Kenworth is gonna be a really specialized truck that excels at a couple things, and shouldn't really be used for anything else. Like how the P16 is amazing at hauling really heavy loads on flat dirt roads, and that's about it. Seems like Kenworth could do with an engine buff as well. But all that's okay, because it looks incredible!
only thing I want is custom oilfield bed that it has in real life..
@@SD1ONE It's cool that studio officials are confirming that custom addons will be coming eventually, but I want them to add more in general. It's a bit of a bitter pill anymore when they release a new DLC truck (paid or not) that looks amazing and is great to use, and then it has all the same generic addons as everything else. I'm not asking them to give every single truck their own, unique addons, but at least do the Mudrunner thing where Russian and American ones look different. It gets boring seeing the same truck bodies on EVERYTHING.
The sad part is that most people don't mind generic addons and that's why devs avoid them mostly.
I really like both trucks :) they are very welcome in the game . Now all i want is more mod options like.being able to install a 2nd or bigger fuel tanks in the game 🤣. Or bigger engines 😂 or at high expense commonrail to increase power and economy
You forget to say that Kenworth is for now the heaviest truck in franchise, beating even Kolobs. And if you count any other adventages, it seems that Kenworth paid so much to Saber to show it's truck as a beast of all beasts
That depends on how you see truck weights...I consider wheel weight too because you can't detach the wheels from the truck and with wheels kolob 747 is still slightly heavier....I avoided mentioning weight because it would only angry the people in comment section who measure weight without wheels... In the end it depends on person to person.
@@SD1ONE Oh, of course, I forgot about wheel weight! Yes, in that case, Kolob is slightly heavier due to having 8 wheels instead of 6. Also, when I tried Kenworth in Season 10 and when I saw it's offroad and pull capabilities, do you consider comparing this monster with Twinsteer or Mastodon?

That dead axle is a hard pass for me. It just gets caught up far too much.
@@KurNorock You just have to pay attention where you're going. That combined with its absurd power to weight ratio with the top engine just makes it wonderful to use.
I really like it, the 1430 seems better in mud with the ohd tires compared to the 49x with the uod tires even tho the 1430 lacks diff lock, but the 49x looks better to me and and is good to be a little more of a challenge
very useful video, i personally would like the mack to have at least a bit bigger fuel tank, i'm happy with the truck generally, but the fuel drains way too fast when it starts to struggle or even on asphalt. so at least a 450l tank would mostly improve the distance you can go with it + the roof fuel. but thats only my opinion and wish. kenny should have maybe a bit stronger engine, but generally its a very awesome truck
I think if they improve its hitbox then It'll stuck less and save fuel...so win win.

Because it struggles most of time and also new region is hilly area...so it consumes a lot of fuel but thankfully fuel tank is like 500L+ and also has additional fuel in roof rack...so it's not an issue

Antarctic is heavy vehicle just like Kenworth and 49X axle design is similar to Mack although it has dead axle
@@SD1ONE The thing is, I exclusively play co-op and literally nobody uses either of those vehicles. Why would you if you have other options? The Antarctic is unstable, unpleasant to drive (being articulated,) and doesn't have many addons, and you could use something like the 605 if you want a similar level of extreme-terrain mobility but with better functionality. The 49X is a mediocre semi-tractor; there are plenty of other vehicles that can fit a saddle and don't have a dead axle.
Also, the vehicle class literally doesn't matter; you never have to use a specific class of vehicle for any task. Additionally, there are quite a few vehicles that are arguably mis-classified: for example, the Step 310, Freightliner 114, and Paystar 5070 are all statistically comparable to the vehicles in the HD class, as is the MH9500 when fully upgraded. Seriously, look up the truck selection spreadsheet from the subreddit and you can see that all of those trucks are very similar in size, weight, power, and capabilities. This is a bit of a tangent, but this topic might be something you'd be interested in doing a video on.
Anyways, with all that in mind, my thoughts would be to compare the Kenworth (even though it's only 3-axle) to the other large, but capable trucks: the Derry Special, either/both Zikz 6s, the Azov 6/7 maybe, but *not*, say, the Kolobs or Twinsteer, due to being much more limited in terms of addons. The Mack I think is more comparable to, say, the Azov 5 and Paystar 5600. The idea is to compare a vehicle to others that you'd pick as alternatives for the same task.
@@AtomizerX Whether someone use them or not is not the point...The reason people don't use them is either because of lack of addons and better tires but new vehicles have better tires and better addons. For example: Kenworth is like Antarctic or CAT 745C mixed with P12 but with more addons...so comparision is to give people idea that they would be like driving say Antarctic but with more addons...On other hand Paystar 5600, etc are different trucks than kenworth...they're not as bulky, not has as big tires but they do have power...It just won't make sense to compare them...Also I have to think about video lenght too...I can't compare them with all available vehicles as that would make video too long....the objective is to give people idea like how these trucks would feel to drive.

So what about the connection issues for Xbox? Are they going to fix those? Because I haven’t played snow runner in about six months because of connection issues. I started trying to play again about three days ago and found out that I can’t stay in the game more than 15 minutes without the game, crashing or kicking me. I was talking to other players in the same thing happens to them no matter who’s game it is or what they’re doing.
Both could use a power boost and some more tire grip.
It's really strange that these two trucks have axle collision when as far as I know the vast majority of trucks in the game don't.
I think I'd prefer if they all had them in hard mode, but not in normal mode.

Are OHS II/Mack tires really better then MHS 1/DMHS mudtires? How come? Does the dirt rating impact mud as well? That's the only way it would make sense.
In whole narrow singles tires category, OHS II are best...I would recommend you to watch Nathan Province mud running tips video where he showed all tire types and also mentioned which one are best for what.

I’ve noticed in other videos aswell it seems like PC the water effects on the tires seems to be better than console, is that a mod or is it just better on pc . On console the water just blobs over the tires it doesn’t seem to splash and spray like pc
I installed no such mods... settings are at high not even ultra...But In some Consoles games There're 2 presets...one is high graphics but low resolution like 1080p other is high resolution but low settings like at 4k

And deliberately underpowered, this Canadian truck has more speed and torque in real life.

Really hate it when it’s that big of a truck yet lacks so much power but yet burns fuel and has a fuel tank the size of a fiat’s on it. Lol also I never run mud tires cause of that Mack test. Idk why but off-road tires are the best for me. Especially when you can get dual wheels.
There both realistic trucks especially the Kentworth because yes it lacks power in irl its like that too its an oil rig truck there meant for long dirt travel were they can pick up speed and barel over hills with rarely any mud and even with mud there usually more then one truck together

Engine is good but the collision model can make it struggle because it can get stuck on even medium size rocks even in plain non-hilly area.

Being a fan of the P12 I am slightly miffed how it was mistaken for a P16.
It is a good video, but I am unlikely to be able to go beyond the base game because of the cost of each and every DLC.
I would much rather see an increase to the P12’s engine matching the power and speed it has in real life.

To me, it feels like the max rpm on yhe kenworth is too low. Its a 2stroke detroit it should rev a lot higher. If it is indeed an error, it would explain low power output

I can get my P12 moving uphill but some hills need a winch, but this is in Michigan and there are a lot of other maps.

I’m looking forward to other maps but at the moment I’m still in Michigan and have been backwards and forwards to Alaska. The P12 does okay so far in Alaska, it’s not quick but it has served me well so far.

Kenny's facing the same problem as the F-750 and the Mastodon faced. Underpowered engines, especially for their size. Hopefully patched at some point, or upgraded engines make it better.

It looks like P12 to me...the 6x6 axle structure and frame length kind of matches...Paystar is 10x10 though.
During my tests Mack (with load) it achieved almost worst time (at the level of GMC MH9500/Freightliner 114SD) and almost worst fuel consumption (International Paystar 5600TS only burned more)... It seems that the advanced gearbox could help him a lot.
Kenworth - quite interesting results, good time and not high fuel consumption...

WWS: 155k torque at the cost of 6.5 consumption;
Defense M917: 232k torque for 10.0 consumption.

If they were in contact with solid ground, they would not get stuck. Unless the OHS II sink in the mud a bit more, but as I wrote, the same width and weight ... too complicated or just random behavior? :)

The axel collision and tire height of the Mack make it nigh unusable. The Kenworth will power through and over any and everything. Superior to the Mack by far. Fuel burn in the Mack is ludicrous as well.
