    Good day sir!
    in this video 3:28
    method 2:
first you have switched off circuit breaker of main control panel.
    2) after that u have manually opened the distribution valve with a special key.
    my question is:
why i have to switch off circuit breaker? if i switch off circuit breaker, power source to hyper mist system control board will be lost!

If breaker of control panel is ON, small motors of distribution valves keep the valves in close positions. At that time, plastic slot of distribution valve will damage if you turn the valve with special key by force.
Why maker fabricates the slot of special key with plastic instead of other hard metals? Slot performs not only for turning also protecting the damages of small pinions.
Turning off the breaker is to cut off power supply to motors of distribution valves. You can easily turn without any damage to slot, when there is no power supply to motor of distribution valve.
Audible and visual alarms will activate in ECR if breaker was off. This method is to be used if remote control of designated area was out of order.
Sooner, I will upload detail internal structure of motor operated distribution valve and damage plastic slot of special key in my community.

sir, good day. today i am learing about hyper mist system. to activate hyper mist system, both flame & smoke detector needs to activate together.
    my question is:
on ship what type of smoke detector we use? is it ionization type (americium 241) or photo electric cell type?

    • @CHiEF_MOEMYiNTSHEiN
      @CHiEF_MOEMYiNTSHEiN  2 года назад +1

      Both Types are used onboard.
Most of onboard smoke detectors are ionization type, which can detect symptoms of fire earlier than photoelectric type, accurate and less error signal.
Fundamental of onboard OMDs are based upon photoelectric type.

Sir good day. pls allow me to ask you about CO2 flooding system weekly alarm test.
how can i test CO2 alarm?
today i told the examiner that: i will open the cabinet door of pilot cylinder bottle. The door has micro switch. It will activate and trigger alarm+automatic shut down E/R blower fan.
but unfortunately my answer was denied. Examiner said this is not correct procedure!

Normally, Company allows to test CO2 Discharge Alarm at Anchorage when the ship doesn’t have any special jobs to carry out. You should mention above condition as first.
Systems may depend upon ships. I faced one ship has Pressure Switch, which is normally open NO contact, in discharge line.
CO2 discharge alarm can be tested with jump wire by closing NO contact. At that time, only discharge alarm activates without shutting off fuel system and ventilation system.
Another system likes your above answer.
I don’t know exactly what your examiner wants. But, I wish you to answer with the condition required to test CO2 alarms, safely.
(Both pressure switches for CO2 System Have Been Uploaded in COMMUNITY for your reference.) 😊

@@CHiEF_MOEMYiNTSHEiN thank you very much. perhaps he wants the answer: jumper wire connection & testing procedure.

Examiner counters a lot. if we (oral candidates) answer something perfectly, He always tends to go deeper. And thats where the trouble begins!
i said : i will open release cabinet door of CO2, alarm will trigger (with details)
Then he asked me, where do you get the key to open CO2 release cabinet door?
i said beside the cabinet door, the key is protected inside a glass made box. hammer is kept right there. i will take the hammer, strike the glass, take out key, open the cabinet door, alarm will come.
He said: just to test alarm you are going to smack the glass with hammer?
i knew that point, i messed up. i remained silent.
He said: this is not the correct procedure😑
