  • In this video I bought a 2022 Suzuki DRZ400 from Copart for $1700 and rebuilt it in a week. I did get a unwelcome surprise when the bike had 12,000 miles instead of 1,500. Trying something new with this video and trying to film most of the work involved. Feel free to comment suggestions!

DRZ are really tough bikes seems like you got a good deal also there is another filter screen inside the frame(bottom of the frame where oil hose connects unscrew the fitting and check the screen for debris but it sounds fine so I wouldn't bother until next oil change)

I just bought a ktm rc 390 from them for 1800 which was a good price but the 1,000 dollars in fees was excessive. After parts I could have just bought a used bike on markertplace and not have to have do all the work. I bought a klx 250 for 1700 three years ago and the fee was only 450 dollars.

cool video, i would have contacted the auction house and asked for a partial refund. due to big difference in miles.

I should have clarified this, but the auction had no odometer reading so I pulled the latest auto check and the last recorded mileage was 1500, so that's what I was going off. I was just shocked to see a 2022 with such high miles!

Cooart fees kill the whole idea.

Yeah copart is getting pretty out of hand with their fees, I might make a video breaking them down, it's pretty comical what they charge for.

hey .. this is a factory supermoto bike . since this bike has offroad tires it clearly shows that he had driven this offroad. And also if possible try to get a good drz 400 seat cover. i personally does not like the seat cover that you used as it gives a cheap look to the bike.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the seat cover either, but it's just what came on the used seat I got, it works so I can't complain too much!

I been thinking bout buying / building a bike this video is cool could you maybe help us out and put a video out on how to get a license to buy

You will have to look up your local restrictions, state of Texas requires no license to purchase salvage title vehicles at auction which is nice, and no license to get a rebuilt title. I can probably make a video on how I do the auctions as it is a little confusing.

@@dylantolo definitely interested I’m in Cali at the moment I think here for copart to even access anything or go on site you gotta have a type of license they offer not 100% sure just word of mouth
