Great video ! Little advice : think of getting a phone stand and recording some of your work. Information is cool and all but being able to see someone actually do the work they’re talking about makes it more interesting. Have fun and be safe !

I definitely think the 07-08 are some of the best years, last carbed CRF450's!

      yes! trust ^
I've been building one frame up. I'm multiple that and I'm just starting on the engine now. To have a roller I still need a rear wheel setup.
For me I have a rim. I need spokes, tubliss, tire, hub. $400 right there.
05 crf450r frame (right now, still gotta go to the dmv)

Yoooo dope vid!! I'm currently in a similar situation fixing up a 2006 crf 450r thats been sitting in my dad's shed for at least 6 years so I feel some of the pain haha. Definitely wasn't ridden as hard as yours but mines wayyy more rusty lol. Pulled the motor and am scrubbing everything down with scotch brite and so far so good. Ride safe bro ✌

@anthonyj6880 rust is definitely one of the worst things to deal with, hope you can get it all together and running mint. If you're pulling the top end off for any reason I definitely recommend kibblewhite steel valves to help prevent shimming a lot because the titanium valves wear pretty quickly

@@dylantolo I’m definitely gonna take a look at the top end so I’ll keep that in mind, thanks bro! 😎

@anthonyj6880 no problem, definitely get a valve spring compressor if you do it, makes the job easy and they are only like $20 on Amazon. Good luck!

The 2008 CRF 450R was by far the best year of the first generation CRf’s
