Well just last night Adrian I brought up the configurator for the 2024 Gran Turismo for the first time, and I was distinctly disappointed. The ability to vary and customize the interior, and exterior has diminished substantially, and as such I see no reason to take on the new car as an artistic project. I do think the exterior design is excellent, but I think it is clear that profit has become absolutely paramount for Stellantis, and offering a wide array of interior colours, accents, and materials, is contrary to that plan. There are three leather colours, one carpet colour, one dash colour, one headliner, one steering wheel finish and colour, and little or no choice to combine the few accents of the two models. As to the exterior; four caliper colours, far fewer paint finishes, and some odd ones at that; and only four wheel choices Pininfarina's vision for the previous car as a piece of art and a canvas for a unique effort on the part of the buyer have largely disappeared. Perhaps the blame is not all with Maserati or Stellantis, as the truth is, the specifications of the previous generation car either by dealers, buyers, or the factory were often plain and unimaginative, and the depth of choice and ability to create with it was not often exploited. Your car Adrian is a pretty fine example combining the Grigio Granito and the Cuoio Leather with one of the several wood trims; I hope to see it in your capable hands for a long time. ladiesforthegranturismo.wordpress.com/
I like how the new Granturismo looks; however it is significantly more expensive. What I find sad the most is that the V8 is now gone. It just doesn’t sound as good. The new Granturismo has a lot more tech than before so it makes me wonder how reliable and the depreciation is going to be.
