Corvette Dude
США
Добавлен 7 янв 2015
Hello everyone, my name is Adrian, and cars are my passion, I have a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette that I use as a daily driver, I make videos of me enjoying my cars, and about the features of the corvette. and also my newest addition is a Maserati Grand Turismo Sport.
Maserati Granturismo problem
My Maserati Granturismo is 11 years old. This car has not had mechanic problems, but it does have cosmetic problems. Some buttons and trim have become very sticky. These cars have a coating over some areas that over time can become sticky. This video is not a "how to", there are different chemicals and methods people have tried that may not work on others, but I wanted to show what ended up working for me. I plan to continue with the other affected areas at another time.

Your a real car guy bro
After watching your video,I thought you really had a problem Stop giving the car a bad name.
♾️✊🏾🔱
I thought the 24s had gotten expensive, now the 25 Mustang GT going up by $2600
I have a '14 GT that is essentially identical to yours. Did that trunk cover come with the car? Mine does not have that, the big one piece thing that said Maserati on it in the trunk, I have never seen one of those.
@@valis992000 yes, mine came with it. It also came with the Maserati charger and the Maserati tow hook in the trunk.
@@corvettedude4423 Thanks, mine came with the charger and tow hook but not that cover.
Your lucky man, my old 2011 GT had two engines blow up, my 2015 was ok, now my 2019 MC had a coolant hose blow and needed new coolant fan. very expensive.
There must have been some other issue causing the engine to fail. I have also read about some coolant hoses that are really hard to reach making the repair expensive
Yes, this is the correct video to watch. The o-ring is key which others trying to explain always miss. The o-ring is a common size and i picked one up at my local O'Reilly's. Just bring your top lid with you to help select the right size. Also the old o-ring can leave debris in the port so make sure you blow it out with compressed air after removing the old o-ring. Also take care not to damage the port as you dig out the old flattened o-ring. Use a plastic prying tool.
@@Kurt1968 Yeah, when I was looking on forums about this problem, people were saying to replace the valve. It was over $300 and no one knew what was the problem with the valve.
Probably was the seafoam you poured through the engine lol
You cannot use seafoam on DI engines.
I know this cause I did the same on my 3.6 LGX and lost compression in a cylinder at 78K. Much love
Walnut blast to get it really out of there!
takeaway is get one in good shape/without the insane deferred maintenance of some maseratis especially ghiblis, and keep up on maintenance yourself and it stays solid
Are there sensors in the door itself? For the key fob? Asking because I had my window replaced at safelite and now I can’t open my car door from the outside or inside… didn’t have that problem taking it in until they replaced my driver door window
The window comes down a little before the door opens. Maybe it needs to have the windows programmed. When I worked as a car mechanic I had to do that to a Cadillac so the windows would open properly after I replaced a window regulator. Is the window glass coming down on your car?
If wrinkles were a personn
Do you have to remove front seat to get headliner out of a Maserati GT.? Thank you!
The suede headliner had already been installed when I bought the car, so not sure of the process.
What is the part called at 0:57 that you took off that holds the starter cylinoid?
I didn’t take off the ignition switch, it was the turn signal switch that I took off on that time stamp and the snap ring
Hi, Adrian. I've enjoyed your videos over the past few years and I'd like to thank you, because your content helped me decide on the purchase of my GT. I have a 2017 in the same color combo now for the past 2 years and I absolutely love it. I've also had zero problems with mine. I've owned seven Porsche's through the past 25 years including 911 twin turbos, and I have to say that the Maserati GT holds up just as well as the best from Stuttgart. The key to these cars is keeping them on a trickle charger. IMHO, the Granturismo is one of the most beautiful designs to ever come out of Pininfarina, and the sound of these 4.7 Ferrari V8's is second to none. Again, thanks for the content and safe travels.
Nice! I’m planning on getting one here soon. Quick question, I’ll be doing a lot of mountain and canyon drives, do u think it’ll hold up?
that sound is just so addicting
Yeah, the sound is awesome
Disgusting
Sorry to hear Adrian. I’ve got 49,000 miles on mine so I’ll have to check that out
Size wheels?
35 x13.5wide
Got a entire one motor and trans pulled and gave up
I did manage to get a complete 351 engine. I wish, I would have also picked up a 300 to have as a spare, back then it would have been only $200
Why didn't you paint the firewall and front cross member?
I didn’t have the engine out, that’s why I didn’t paint it.
Do you still daily drive the C7?
ruclips.net/user/shortsZc6AcI5NYrk?si=Qn7g9E_artBQXuvr yeah, still daily it, have 69k miles, did have a problem with the coolant temp sensor recently
With no muffler it sounds like a tractor.
Yeah, I’m going to end up doing an exhaust cut out valve
I want the truck to be quiet at idle, and with this I can have the advantage of open exhaust at wide open throttle
Which one you think is more reliable? (2005-2009 aston Martin db9), (2007-2014 aston Martin vantage), (2007-2013 Maserati granturismo)?
I have seen some videos of problems with the old Aston martins but the one that comes to mind is Doug demuro with his 2007 Aston Martin Vantage, several years ago, and in just one year had $5k worth of repairs not counting maintenance costs. So far my 2014 Granturismo has not had any problems
How many miles do you go before an oil change?
I put less than 1k miles a year, so I don’t go by mileage. I just change the oil once a year. On my Corvette that’s the daily it’s the opposite, I change it based on mileage, every 5k miles. It ends up being in 4-6 months
Looks good.. except for the new mustang body🥴
So if in sport mode and no loud sound valves are open or closed?
How did you know where to jack the car up? Im scared to damage the car
Not sure if they are all the same, but my car has the carbon fiber package and the sideskirt panel has a cutout for the jacking points.
@corvettedude4423 Thank you! I just bought a 2015 GTS with 40k miles and it already has a major oil leak lmaoooo.
@@ProfessorDrives Hopefully it’s just an oil filter seal. Had that happen with my C7 Corvette. On Maseratis I have read of some people having valve cover gasket leaks.
@corvettedude4423 Yeah that's mine. Valve cover gasket leak. It'll cost a couple thousand to fix.
Some cars’ interiors are made of environmental friendly materials, chemical cleaners makes them melt. Sticky.
Was planning to, but unfortunately the Dragstrip got shut down and turned to apartments 😔 , I did get to race my C7 Corvette though.
Do you track it or drag it??
I wish u shared size of o ring or part number . Thanks tho
Remove that window mesh from the air filter. kills air flow
Bought the car with it, hadn’t thaught about it causing a restriction
Could that be that my window doesn’t go down? SOME CABLES ARE CUT
It’s possible since the wires pass thru there.
Why do the cars look better than the houses in America 😂
That’s what happens when you don’t let them bring anything in other than a hammer and crescent wrench if I ran a junk yard I’d have jackstands and farm jacks available rather have that than a smashed customer
Still a good fine never seen a 351 at my yards
I ended up swapping the larger, 351 throttle body and intake piping into the 300. Not sure how much it helped but truck spins the tires rolling on first gear. When I get the truck finished I’ll see what it does on second gear
رائع جدا 👍
7 minutes and not 1 back view of the car ? Bro just stop making videos 😅
I do not recommend daily driving a Gran Turismo, but I drive mine once a twice a month. I daily drive my Volvo S60 sedan and it is my guilt free car.
Only 63 tankers were ever made
I just bought #1088
Not my favorite color but somehow i like it on your car!
would have been perfect if it had handbrakes that should go along with manual transmissions
first car show of the year. Many of these cars are the last of their kind, like the manual v10 Viper. Lamborghini switching to hybrid. Which car was your favorite?
The V10 will be missed
Which one do you like best?
Beautiful car I've heard so many bad things about it I was tempted to buy one but the closest dealership ship is a 125 miles away
Yeah, I’ve talked about it on my last review, that many people don’t buy these cars because their dealership is too far away, or there is only one to choose from. Maybe with the mass production of the suv Grecale there will be more dealers opening up.
