With the first GT I got around 20k miles and with this one, when I hit 20k I still had plenty of tread left over. Really depends how you drive and how the camber is set. In regards to maintenance, I think the MC is better because you don't have to deal with the Skyhook suspension if it were to go bad on the regular GT

You mentioned that there is a guy in youtube that makes videos on this cars reliability, can i know who it is? I am looking to buy a maserati Gt as well Thanks alot
The car is pretty reliable as I've had two and would definitely get a 3rd. The issue with this black one was due to the neglect from the previous owner. For the first MC I had, there was a coolant hose that broke but other than that, it was all your typical maintenance. If you know what to look for it's pretty easy to spot whether or not the one you're getting is good or bad. I would personally not touch anything older than 2012
If you have good relations with a shop that specializes in Italian cars it should be reasonable. I did some of the servicing myself too so my maintenance was relatively cheap for the maserati compared to other people
Hi. I just got one. It's a 2012 with some maintenance issue, but I had 4 months of warranty on the dealer. In my case I was able to find a pretty good mechanic that made a full inspection. He found a problem with an oil hose, like you said. I will look into to your video.
Richard Cuico oh i get you, they also sell wireless license plate backup cameras that connect to the iPad through Bluetooth which is what I’m getting, but whatever works for you bro!
The repair/parts costs is on par with Ferrari, so for the average person to purchase this car may not be a wise choice unless money is no object. Also the Gran Turismo is notorious for being extremely unreliable. Still undoubtedly a beautiful car.
Don't sell the gt...there will never be an engine like that again...I have the Mc convertible and I just bought a mint 11 qp GTS, the new one doesn't do it for me and these cars were low production and will be classics
I was strongly thinking about it but ya you're right. these cars are going to be a collectible one day. Right now finances were kind of tight which got me worried but I I'm sure I can work this out just fine. I'm definitely making a lot of maserati content soon so be sure to stay tuned!
definitely breaking necks when I go by. Mostly the reactions have been pretty positive. A few thumbs up here and there while people from afar just look. I did back a video back in the day where i purposely acted like a douche so I did get some snares here and there but most of the time people just love how the car looks and sounds.
Would you recommend this as a first car? Im talking about 2013-2016+ BTW Im living in Germany so insurance wont be big pain in ass and they are quite cheap here.
Yes and no. Yes because it's a car that is relatively easy to drive, has supercar looks, has an amazing sound, the 2013-2016s are pretty reliable, and it's actually pretty comfortable. No because if you have this as your first car, you won't be able to enjoy all the other cheaper cars that are out there. But then again you still have a lot of other cars that are much more expensive that you can look forward to lol
@@DenisTheRealMenace as someone who has just passed their test dont get a car like this. Dont go for this.
@@trumpdump20 I changed my mindset a bit so I think I will look for something like an S7 2012/2014 just because I have driven 200+ PS cars before and I really got used to the power. So something like an S7 would probably be nice to have for 4/5 years.
I am really on the fence on getting the GT. However reliability and parts availability is my top concern. I will want to daily drive. Can you please advice. Also where do you get all the parts from?
I daily drive my car and last year I drove it about 100 miles a day crazy enough and I had 0 issues. However, just recently I had to replace a wheel bearing but that's due to the age of the car and the neglect that the first owner did. I get all my parts from scuderiaparts or just look on ebay if they happen to be cheaper. In my area, there are quite a few exotic mechanics so servicing can be fairly cheap compared to doing it at a dealership.
@@RichardCuico hi, i live in LA are too, would you mind telling me which exotic mechanic do you recommend? And i read on your other comment that it better to ask shop check it, do you mean by bring the mechanic to the dealer? Thanks!
@@dvss7459 if you're looking to buy one, I would ask a shop that specializes in exotics to do a PPI (pre purchase inspection) so that going in, you'll know exactly what's wrong with the car. They can go to the dealer or you can have the dealer bring the car to them. For a shop, I used to take my car to Gi Automotive but they have since shut down.
Dope car .i think they should have kept this model and got rid of the ghibli. The gran ties IMO was an aggressive sleeper I feel they could have put an all digital dash touch’s screen. And upgrade the motor v8 520and a v10 600hp
You're totally right about that. The ghibili is just such a weird car nor does it hold its value very well. They should of just massively updated the GT ages ago. They barely started doing it now but it's too late

thanks brotha! One of my friends is an audi tech and I've asked him about the R8. The R8s are a hit or miss, if you have problems with it, it'll be really expensive to fix. Best to stay away unless you have the money to fix it. Preferably go for the V10 and a get the manual for less issues. The jags have a lot of issues as well. NormalSupercarGuy has one he rented out for turo and it has only experienced problems from what I saw. The GT is probably the one you'll experience less issues with (trying not to be bias here). The issues in my opinion are easier to handle even if they might be pricey. Compared to the other two though, you're less likely to have issues unless you drive it on the daily like me and you got a real lemon
that's a tough choice indeed. You can't really go wrong either way as both have their pros and cons. I might go with the vette since it's cheaper to maintain and there's a lot of things you can do with the car in terms of mods. Also, you probably wont feel as bad to drive it everyday. The older Maseratis are uncharted territory for me so I can't strongly recommend them
The problem with the older Maseratis are the valve variators. Search it up and read about it, it causes a dry and rattling start, not good for the engine. If you wish to own cheaper Maserati Granturismo 🔱, plan to have that job completed. Then it would be well worth. If you wish the newer look front bumper, just install a newer one. For the price you can haggle a 08, it will leave you with tons of upgrades options. The only drawback now that the engine would be a 4.2L and not the latest 4.7L with about 450HPs. Corvette a total bargain and easy to upgrade, yet, only two seats.
depends on where you drive it lol i live in pretty much the beverly hills of florida so it does a good job blending in with exotics but also standing out from the everyday Mercedes, bmw, or lexus

For the first MC I had, there was a coolant hose that broke but other than that, it was all your typical maintenance. If you know what to look for it's pretty easy to spot whether or not the one you're getting is good or bad. I would personally not touch anything older than 2012
It might be affordable to get one but to maintain it , is a whole lot different story ...
That's the exact issue I'm wrestling with right now 😔. I can get one no problem.. Can I keep it on the road tho??
If you have good relations with a shop that specializes in Italian cars it should be reasonable. I did some of the servicing myself too so my maintenance was relatively cheap for the maserati compared to other people
idk why i’m watching all of these videos i’m scared to merge onto a highway💃💃
From my experience take care of this car and it will take care of you .
Hi. I just got one. It's a 2012 with some maintenance issue, but I had 4 months of warranty on the dealer. In my case I was able to find a pretty good mechanic that made a full inspection. He found a problem with an oil hose, like you said. I will look into to your video.
Bro I put my iPad in my Maserati to cover up the infotainment center and it looks way better I think you’d like the same
that's a great idea but my infortainment system always shows the video from my backup camera so I can't exactly cover it up right now :/
Richard Cuico oh i get you, they also sell wireless license plate backup cameras that connect to the iPad through Bluetooth which is what I’m getting, but whatever works for you bro!
@@jlove24 they do?! i might have to check that out hahaha thanks for the tip bro!
Richard Cuico no doubt I’ll post a video on it this week so you can see
That car Design to drive for aways I don’t know why in America people think it’s short Distance drive cars
MC20 is a epic supercar 👌
Was definitely considering a granturismo, beautiful car and that V8 👌

Is the mc stradale a good Maserati to get?
Hell yeah ..careful though. You’ll break a lot of necks
I'm getting a 2013 GT MC this week. Freaking out
congrats dude! be sure to share some pics and videos of it!
@@RichardCuico for sure, thanks for all ur vids. There are not many out there that shows the day to day experience..
You will love it! Wonderful car
@@MetroCollectablesandvlogs how did you afford it?
@@rev8716 onlyfans 🤣
STOP PUTTING THE GT IN THE SUPER CAR NOMENCLATURE. IT IS NOT A SUPER CAR!!! IT IS AN EXOTIC.
What are the reactions like? do people still super impressed, thinking your driving it? breaking necks?
definitely breaking necks when I go by. Mostly the reactions have been pretty positive. A few thumbs up here and there while people from afar just look. I did back a video back in the day where i purposely acted like a douche so I did get some snares here and there but most of the time people just love how the car looks and sounds.
@@RichardCuico thanks for the reply, subscribed nice videos
How many miles do you have now?
a ton ahhaha almost 62,000 miles
What year is your gt?
mines a 2012!
What is it like to be sitting in the back?
it's a bit tight not going to lie but still comfortable enough for fairly long journeys if you have to be there
Would you recommend this as a first car? Im talking about 2013-2016+
BTW Im living in Germany so insurance wont be big pain in ass and they are quite cheap here.
@@RichardCuico Ok thanks!
@@DenisTheRealMenace as someone who has just passed their test dont get a car like this. I was in the same mindset wanting the fastest and coolest car I could for the money but trust me once you start driving you dont want something like this. In the end I got a 2020 a class which is great but even still I worry about crashing it. If you have the same kind of budget as I did, just get something small and new like an a class or a 1 series. Dont go for this.
@@trumpdump20 I changed my mindset a bit so I think I will look for something like an S7 2012/2014 just because I have driven 200+ PS cars before and I really got used to the power. So something like an S7 would probably be nice to have for 4/5 years.
@@DenisTheRealMenace whats your budget?
What year is this Rich ??? It’s a classic “
this one is a 2012 but I'd recommend getting a 2013 instead. Less problems!
MC Stradale or nothing else
I couldn't agree with you more!
Amazing on Gas it sounds wow
Dope car .i think they should have kept this model and got rid of the ghibli. The gran ties IMO was an aggressive sleeper I feel they could have put an all digital dash touch’s screen. And upgrade the motor v8 520and a v10 600hp
You're totally right about that. The ghibili is just such a weird car nor does it hold its value very well. They should of just massively updated the GT ages ago. They barely started doing it now but it's too late
@@RichardCuico exactly ppl actually liked the gt atleast let it be able to rival the m6 s63 coupe. Just needed a few tweaks they could have kept the body the same
@@RichardCuico the design of the car was ahead of everybody just need a update in technology and an updated motor 480 for base and 580-600 for Gts
Love mine best 25k ever spent do own work buyy scan tool reset oil light ect save 1000s $ Maseratis are reliable long stay away from older dou select transmission
What is the best choice you think? Maserati granturismo s, audi r8 v8 or a jaguar f type v6. Great content by the way keep it up!
thanks brotha!
@@RichardCuico how do you feel about Maserati GT's vs 911/caymans
@@mitch8769 911/caymans. Far more reliable imo, have far mpre aftermarket parts you can get if you are on the budget, like fcpeuro site
Granturismo s the best
Vincent V cayman and 911 awesome cars but do not get the looks of the Granturismo. The sound and looks are intoxicating. Such a wonderful car
Torn between getting an 08 GranTurismo or a 08 Corvette Z06..: hmmm
that's a tough choice indeed.
$40k C7 Stingray Z51 2LT skip the Z06. You’ll love it
#Maseratiadvice best to figure any way to stay in compatibility when needing vehicles parts.
I got the ghibli I get the part in the dealer but I got my boy doing the work he work for Ferrari
It was a Chinese torture...with “like” being said..”I was.like...sitting in this like car...”..had to switch to another RUclips offering
Do u get attention driving this car?
depends on where you drive it lol i live in pretty much the beverly hills of florida so it does a good job blending in with exotics but also standing out from the everyday Mercedes, bmw, or lexus
@@stevetruong3190 You're completely right about that. In Beverly Hills, it doesn't grab too much attention but like with any nice car it'll grab some lookers. Especially when you put the exhaust in sport mode. In my hometown however, I'll get a good amount and people driving alongside give me thumbs up. I haven't had unwanted attention yet though.
I am thinking of getting this as a weekend car, RC 200T is my daily, 4 runner for the family
Considering this 911,GTR for under 40k
@@AR-il7gn those are really good choices. I've only heard good things about porsches. I haven't looked into GTRs too much but either way you go, you'll have an awesome time!
