BMW F45 MAF sensor costs 400 EUR in France. My check engine light is on and the scan results indicate a MAF sensor issue. Everything runs smoothly. Will clean it up and see what happens with the light. Great video!
Most of the time cleaning the MAF Sensor does fix the problem. You do not always have to replace it with a new one. Hope cleaning it solves the problem for you. Thank you and thank you for sharing!
@@fixit3879 unfortunately cleaning the MAF did not help. The MAF reading looks normal and within range. What I noticed though, when I unplugged the MAF connector, the engine didn’t turn off. It ran normal without any noticeable change. I’ve read that the engine not turning off is not always a sign of a bad MAF.

You are welcome. White smoke can also possibly mean that the engine might be burning oil a bit. But it is hard to tell what the problem is exactly without checking your car. Thank you and good luck!
It’s hard to tell without checking your car. These are only common symptoms. White smoke can also mean that the engine might be burning oil sometimes if the car is really old. It’s hard to tell for sure without checking your car. Some other problems can be the oxygen sensor or faulty spark plugs as well. Good luck and Thank you.
