Most of the time, it’s recommended to start with replacing the camshaft sensor first since it’s easier to replace. If problems persists then you move to the crankshaft. I’m currently dealing with this and the crankshaft is next.

When the sensor is plugged in, back-probe the signal wire (refer to your vehicle's wiring diagram). Place the multimeter's positive lead on the signal wire and the negative lead to a ground. Set the multimeter to DC volts, then crank the engine to measure the fluctuating voltag
