To admit to liking it was to admit you were gay. So I could only play it in my room on the lowest volume possible...and cried my eyes out. People forget how much people hated us.
It was the same here in England in those days & then in 1988 at 22 years old I realised I was Trans. These days things are just as bad if not worse. I am 58 now & don't know how i'm still alive. I have a lot of battle scars to keep me extra vigilant. I don't think that I could manage another savage beating from some random hater

When a certain former religious friend realised he was gay knew the family for years. Took them off Facebook, all because what it says about homosexuals in the bible. The Bronski Beat video has some of the best video shots of one of only two class 210s diesel trains that British Railways built. The original helped me feel less alone in some rough times. Also the thumbnail in this context pains me.
