Lmao I ugly snorted 😂😂😂
👁️👅👁️
Frick! I am choking on air. Merci, for making me laugh today ♡
I've been wondering why his moves are so mesmerizing and then I discovered from the interview that he was a professional ballet dancer.
Amazing.
What a talented man.
I was wondering about that! Absolutely breathtaking!
Thank you for confirming my suspicions. His port de bras didn't happen overnight
oml i was thinkin how much he need to rehearse before he can did the dance that good
No wonder! I kept replaying the high kick he does at 3:14 because the flexibility needed for that is very impressive, especially for a man. Kudos to him!
This is valuable info
Orville peck kinda makes me think "What if the phantom of the opera was a cowboy"
the drums in this song sound so much like the Phantom of the Opera main song
@@cushcuthbertson-sewer2080 Holy shit you're right lol
A Homoerotic, western Phantom of the Opera. I would watch that.
Magnus Valentin ok, now you got me wanting to see him cast in a revival of Phantom!!
oh my god yes
old town road and orville peck. we stan the resurgence of gay cowboys
Nischal Prajapati they always were and still are here. Just hid it for a long time lol
Daniel Whooley cool, reread the comment please
Daniel Whooley uh oh someone can’t read
Fuck yeah!
@@danielwhooley3723 nobody said it was
The genre-bending this guy does is one of a kind. Constant classic country undertones, then I hear Depeche Mode, k.d. lang and Roy Orbison. Dude WTF.
YES exacltyyyyy
I hear those too! Sounds like Josh Groban's Voice , singing a blend of what you said and Lana Del Rey's creepynes very neat stuff!
I hear hints of Morrissey
Johnny Cash and Elvis too.
R. Dale what.....like your comment!? 🤣
That dance scene in the barn is literally one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.
Voguing AND line dancing? Damn
Yeah, the guy is wicked. Doing his own thing, making oldschool western interesting again.
Yes!!!
His years of ballet training paid off.
@@bernoulli884 uh
I just so happen to have the privilege of knowing this man (he’s the brother of one of my best friends). I can assure you all that he is one of the best people I know. Amazingly kind, smart and talented.
tell him he's honest to god one of the best singers i have ever heard, such a beautiful voice and talent for imagery.
his music is lush
Ben - Tell him this is the message thats being sent to the World - "Welcome One and All to your next new addiction .... Orville Peck .. you can thank me laters"
Having randomly found his music today...
such talent, kindness and an obviously incredible & innovative human!
Glad you know him, I can't even get over how talented and wonderful each song is.
Epic and so rare!
WOW!
Is he single? ;)
This is one of the punkest things I've seen in ages. Utterly brilliant.
Rob B ^^
He used to be in a punk band. Drummer.
But yes, Daniel...err, Orville is brilliant.
I’m so bad at remembering songs & who made them that when looking for this song I thought it was an Autoheart song
An openly gay country music artist. In these times thats a true outlaw rebel. I get the feeling that there’s a lot of country music listeners who avoid Orville because of that alone and I love that.
hes openly gay gay but why hide behind the mask
hahah how is that rebelious, everyone is gay today, at least it seems like it
Try being jumped in the street because you’re holding hands with your girlfriend. Then we’ll talk again.
@@lauraguthoff6474 i thought the society we live in was better than that. thats just terrible you had to go thorough that
@@freekyd4551 I think the mask enfatize the fact that he is gay.
He’s got the prettiest hands!!
seriously
I keep noticing this, especially in this video. This man's hands are gorgeous.
And eyes and smile and voice. 😳
I wonder how that peepee be though.. ;)
I´m really connecting with this song. Transports me right back to when I was a young closeted gay teen in a sexual ”relationship” with my best friend at that time that was straight. For him it was just some sexual experimentation, for me it was much more: he was my first love. It all ended when he started dating and having sex with girls leaving me heartbroken. Even now, in my 30s, I can still look back at that time and somewhat romanticize it when I´m being nostalgic and in a lonely period. So many lines in this song describe exactly what we had perfectly.
This breaks my heart
You’re still considerably young, there’s a lot of love left for you. You seem to love strong and with a full heart. Find that special one out there...and I’ll be hoping they find you.
That got me emotional. I hope you're doing good now. ❤
He's 50% cowboy
50% lampshade
100% awesome
He is my Christmas music every year ❤
This song has me in tears. It's so so sad. He said on one of his live clips that this is the only song on Pony that's about heart break. God damn it's devastated me.
This song wrecked me
The new face of country music has no face - and I love it!!! Roy Orbison meets Bowie meets Chris Isaak and stir in a scoop of Judy Garland. So wonderful!
This is the best comment I agree completely
I can hear Elvis and Whitney too
Love this comment .
No ego
The imagery in this video is so goddamn powerful
Less is more, especially cowboys with sexual undertones.
I liked what I heard from the NPR interview today. The voice of a classic crooner but the mystique of a luchador. However, nothing prepared me for this video. It subverted the familiar while still remaining a loving homage.
It's pure art. A thing all its own. Something that'll be talked about for years to come. A perfect compliment to a masked cowboy.
A luchador is a wrestler, maybe you meant vaquero?
@@diannejones7301 luchador still works, because they never take off their masks in public they have that element of mystery
Whoever directed has the perfect eye for his aesthetic. This is wonderful
can’t believe he invented country music, talented king
so I'm actually writing a paper on country music, and can confirm you are correct
broooo this shit changed my life this is straight art. I downloaded his whole album.
"..this is straight art.."
or should i say "gay art" lmao
It’s not straight art lol

Today is the first time listening to Orville Peck and I'm obsessed. That voice! His elegant hands! His voice! So hypnotic! I'm in awe; the last time I remember feeling this way was the first time I heard Smells Like Teen Spirit. Orville certainly has a gift and I'm so damned happy that he is sharing it.
I'm having the SAME experience! So grateful he's shining his light for us all though his talents...so fresh & original. Thank god!
Oh my gosh SAME! You took all the word out of my mouth Janice. He is the type of elegant, classy, sexy that I though I would never see anyone else embody. His voice is liquid GOLD! I can't stop listening to his voice, and yes the hands are 🤌 today is my first time ever listening to him too and I feel like I found a rare jem 😊 I haven't felt chills in a while and AAAA love his work ❤
Listen to his song with Noah Cyrus!
Orville Peck, you delightful weirdo with a voice like leather and velvet. I hope you get the motherload of recognition for your efforts. Bravo!
Is it just me who gets astounded by the beauty in his half-long-sleeved jacket and hands in the intro dance?
his voice is so pretty i don’t even like country but this is such a good song and video i’ve watched this like 7 times i’m crying his voice is so gorgeous what the hell
I know me too what the hell
The Mexican American influences here are beautiful. 😍😍
Eric Hartman learn something about music before spouting off at someone who is 100% correct. Corrido vibes going HARD (not to mention the Moz influence)
@Eric Hartman Listen up mr smoothbrain, the guitar was invented in Spain and came to the US by way of Mexico, cowboy culture is just an Anglo version of vaquero culture, the Mexican cowboys who existed for a couple hundred years before white Americans conquered the Southwest, the dance with all the stomping (not the pirouette) is a Mexican dance, may I recommend actually leaving whatever dank basement you've crawled into and I dunno, maybe speak to a real live human who'd different from you? You might learn something, and you might not look like such an overconfident and underinformed fool.
@@lucasbrown4608 got damn, called him Mr. Smooth Brain
Cool stuff tho thanks for sharing
Lucas Brown the guitar has its origins by the Moors in southern Spain, along with a series of other cousins all across Europe. So now it wasn’t JUST Spanish seeing as it was an instrument found all throughout the old world. Cowboy culture WAS its own culture brought over by the Spanish and other Europeans but vaquero culture was blended eventually. Not everything is stolen by the whites. Considering they developed modern civilization , they had their own thoughts as well ... plus the Spanish are white .. so it’s just whites influencing other whites lol
@@armaniv6455 whites developed modern civilization? just curious if you know why we call them arabic numerals or why algebra is called algebra or where modern medicine owes its existence
OMG the dance break was EPIC.... love love love it henry
UNBELIEVABLE!!! When he does that kick...OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I call him Henry cause I’m a big fan lol

What a voice
1:30-1:36 is one of the most unique visual/audio experiences I have had in a while. Great concept and expression.
He's like Yee Haw Lana Del Rey and I love it!
That’s exactly what I said I love Lana and I like the Johnny cash voice mixed into it as a straight guy I can still appreciate the art of the music
Lol yes exactly!
Imagine him singing Yayo, Chelsea Hotel 2.0, Ride. Mom, get the mob because I think I drowned my knickers.
B. N lol would be insane !!!!
I like that! Lord knows they both like their theatricality!
Horses are cancelled.
This is what we ride now.
your random funny comment literally made me laugh out loud this morning. i found some good stuff on your page so thanks for some new musical finds for me!
im riding him for sure
rockifythis 🤣😂😆👍
Haha this comment is gold!
Oh my
Your dancing is beautiful, mesmerising and hauntingly unforgettable. I love to watch you. I never knew you were a ballet dancer. I hope someday you will get your dream and duet with the queen of country Dolly Parton.
Howdy Cowboy 😍 - literally just found out of him through a bon appetite cooking video lol those vocals
Bon Appetite is my main source of food entertainment and finding out of new people
Something amazing to come out of The Brooklyn
Right?!
His talent is incredible.
Same =). Im not much for country music but this is smooth. The way he sings, he's kinda like a male Lana del Rey.
same same
This song and video presentation is one of the strongest and most beautiful pieces of art I've ever seen in my life. I keep coming back to this video and it brings me near to tears every single time.
Let Me Drown made me pull my car over and sob! He just gets right to your soul ❤
This has more emotion in it than any song on the radio and we can’t even see his facial expressions.
This is some weird shit. When I've listened to everything there is to listen to this is refreshing. I hear so many different genres in this song. It's honestly wonderful.
It's okay to be straight and enjoy his music. He is phenomenally talented
This song gives me the chills...I can hear a perfect amount of Morrissey and Whitney Huston. Beautiful.💜
Why is no one talking about the influence of Whitney Houston? Like it’s spot on and it’s beautiful
I’ve been waiting for this comment! His Amoeba WIMB showed him with a Whitney album
Leda Paul That’s exactly where I got the connection from!
I can't hear it
Soaribb at 3:37 you can compare it to Whitney Houston in I Will Always Love You.
In interviews, he does say Whitney and Mariah are up there with Merle Haggard and other country influences.
I seriously cannot stop listening to this song and watching this video. I laughed at my boyfriend when he suggested I listen to a country artist and I am simply floored. The voice, the tone, the classic crooning with a modern and unique western upgrade. THE AESTHETIC?! Where have you been? This is astonishing work!
In a perfect world Orville will perform the next James Bond theme song...
omg, he is moving his hands so gracefully, this is the best part of the video I swear. Teach me how to move like this(((
I've only scratched the surface listening to him. He moves me so much with that beautiful deep voice and mesmerizing delivery... It's so hard not to tear up and lose yourself in his music... I can't listen to him in public because I look like an fat middle-aged weirdo staring off into space with tears in my eyes lol ...can't be helped lol Orville, you're hero of my soul!
Beautifully weird.
Stunning voice and visuals!
This world needs more cowboys like you Mr Peck, thank you!
Brett from muscle party brought me here and I am eternally grateful!
The hat resembling horns gave me SHIVERS. I am in love with this song.
When someone so beautiful and amazing walks this earth, it's just so dumb people remain ugly about this sort of thing. Who has time, when so much good and beauty comes from the effort?
Indeed.
Orville Peck sounds like many country and non country artists.
I love his voice, to me I hear Billy Idol and Elvis.
Simply amazing!
Me too
Idk what it is about his songs but I just cry and ride my horse
Saw him & his wonderful band at a little bar in Michigan, it was extraordinary! I've been keeping an eye and ear on him ever since, what a gem!! ❤️
What bar/city?
He has a band? I thought he was only a solo artist
Zee Archer that gives me hope. We’re a fucked up country, but you can still find great music down the street.
I literally have never been a country fan. I never could get into the genre or connect to an artist I genuinely loved or liked. I’m 21 and have been a music lover since as long as I can hear. Turns out I just had to wait a good 16 years to find the country artist I love. And here came in Orville Peck. ❤️
Except it's not really country, but that's okay.
also, check out country from pre-2001. after 2001 it was mildly treasonous to say anything not actively supportive of the system, and you get a lot of "my farm, my USA, and God" style music. Earl is a classic.....
I think he should dance more in his videos, I'm fascinated with how he finishes each move, like watching torvil and dean ice skating. Love his dancing in come on baby cry. Obsessed with daytona sand video though, I want that wild if a life 😂🤣
Beautifully haunting and sad. Wish I had the guts to join his embracement of self. Love you Orville
I love watching him dance. He is so graceful 💘
High fashion cowboy, I'm liking the aesthetic and your voice is so dreamy
This might be the best new artist of the past five years. This is an AMAZING album!!!
Real Country rides with Orville
This is so stunning to all the senses
Just painstakingly beautiful!
Orville Peck *patting the last 30 years of country music on the head*: C'mon boy, it's time to go out behind the barn...you been a good boy, but your time has come. Lemme...lemme just get my rifle, sniff.
serge malena Im so sorry old yeller... i will never ever forget you but.. But.. its the gay cowboys time, Mr. Robbins and Peggy Lee are waiting. Who's a good boy

Josef K Times change, People Live and die, The young become old, The Old teach us then become teachers, The world moves with or without us, Country is but a Love, A life, And a way of life, Too live free, Too die young, The barren waste's, The country, Is in all the brave, And every dumb young Boy, Wishing to be country, Too sad too admit times got different.

Such a great artist! Amazing song!
Found Orville Peck on JImmy Fallon clip. Huge fan and can't get enough. Love all the songs but this one connects. Thank you O P. ❤️
Decided to finally give a listen while working. Ended up a crying mess. Bought the album and sat in my room to just listen. Undisturbed as to not cause any accidents to.myself or others. Will not shut up about what a great artist have we been blessed with at the end of the decade.
Oh... these are like the gunslinger ballads I've always dreamed of...... ❤❤❤❤❤
never heard of this dude before today. now i'm totally bummed that i missed him in philly last month. come back cowboy.....
Dear Orville, you trully are one of a kind
When I was first introduced to this wonderful dinner that makes amazing master pieces I thought wow is he an old country singer and my uncle said no he is a newer artist I was genuinely surprised because of how good his mucus is and how angelic his voice is and the outfit choices which I get a feeling it a mixture between proper country and Elton John which along whit the outfits it the style of said outfits because one all of the outfits match perfectly and two it matches the mood of the story that is being expressed in the song an I will admit I am sadly a gen z but good thing is I grew up listening to the 70's 80's 90's and 00's but I will say you don't typically find good music/artist nowadays but this man holy shit he is something else in the music industry great music
Who the hell is this guy?? He's a total badass! Mosdef a generational talent.
Every time I watch this I'm like "did he really take a shot to the chest from a paintball??" Orville is ready to die for art
the NERVE of this country king. love u love this
This voice is not what I expect EVERY TIME I click on his videos.like I know it's coming, I know what he sounds like, but then he starts and I'm blown away more and more every time. His sound is NOT today's sound. He takes it back to country western and mixes in little hints of icons influence here and there. I get chills every time.
orville's iconography is literally insane im in love
It's like a gunslinger love song
this is really beautiful and touching, like I want to cry
its been a wile since i have seen something so original, sounds amazing and love the lyrics
This is mesmerizing. I really hear echoes of KD Lang in this song.
His dancing is so incredibly graceful. Stunning.

Thank god for a random clip of some show I don't even watch lol would of never found this incredible artist .

Absolutely legendary. Obsessed with these outfits
Oh. My. God. This song -and video- are so powerful. I just got done being blown away by 'Kalahari Down' and then I watch this. I feel like I just got sucker-punched in the heart. I honestly have to watch something else for awhile, like train wrecks or tornadoes. This guy is just too powerful. Very hard to process emotionally but that's all good. I'll definitely be back.
I want a south west / cowboy twin peaks. Orville needs to helm the music for it!! Someone get David Lynch on the phone with this guy stat!
I somehow just found Orville Peck and his music this week, and now I suddenly listen to country music (at least this kind), and can't seem to stop going through his music. I'm in awe.
Orville Peck is a true original. His influences are a beautiful meld of many greats. He doesn't take from one, he borrows from many and creates his own sound, look and cool vibe. In a world where pretty much everything has been heard or seen Orville has created something completely new and extremely innovative. "Turn to hate" is outstanding... YeeHaw
You are absolutely incredible. I've never seen or heard anything like you. This is high art.
He is very similar to Roy Orbison and Cris Issak, but with way more camp in his image 🖤
