- Chloe Lukasiak is still dealing with trauma from her past. In a new sneak peek from 'Dance Moms: The Reunion,' the 22-year-old gets emotional after watching a 'Dance Moms' clip of Abby Lee Miller getting caught seemingly changing scores from a competition. Her co-star and former ‘Dance Moms’ teammate, Paige Hyland, tells her Abby 'couldn't stand' to see Chloe happy, while Chloe says her former dance teacher's words 'still linger' with her 10 years later. 'Dance Moms: The Reunion' premieres May 1 on Lifetime.

Abby taking away Chloe’s deserving victory so Maddie could win instead will forever be one of the most disgusting things she ever did on the show.
It hurts to see that this “error” still upsets her til this day.
I don't believe abbey took chloe's win, scored can be wrong, I remember when maddie and kendall did a duet sugar and spice and it won first place, however the next day there was a call from a director of 5he competition they attended, abbey was informed there was an error with the scoring and that maddie and kendall did not win but were actually 2nd.
Mistakes do happen, if it really was that chloe won I can guarantee you Christi did her own investigation just to prove to the moms and viewers, however there was no evidence that scores had been manipulated, and Christi knew this which was why she never spoke about it again.
If you recall abbey wanting to change camrons score against chloe so camron would win, christi phoned the director and the judges to get clarification of abbey wanting to get the scores changed, this is why I am saying that maddie won fair and square.
@@ballydosanjh4883 But there was no way that was a coincidence. Out of hundreds of dancers who competed, it just HAD to be Maddie and Chloe's scores that were messed up. Even Christi pointed it out in the dressing room. Production or Abby had 100 % contributing factor into it

Listen to Christi’s podcast- someone came forward that week, Abby was rlly jealous bc Chloe was the first cast member to hit 1M followers. Abby went off on the judges, saying they “let” her win bc she has a lot of followers and they eventually changed the score. The same way, she tried taking away Chloe’s win when she beat Camryn.
I’m so so happy Chloe is healing. She deserves nothing but the best and to know her worth.

@@soccerair9 yes I'm aware. That doesn't change that the producers of the reunion asked Jojo to call Abby while filming, and she said no out of respect to the other girls. So while Jojo thought Abby should have been there, she wasn't upset about it because she understands where the other girls are coming from
Jojo needs mental help cause she was a child too but the way she’s processing her situation is sad
Chloe was probably the sweetest girl on the show, she was never a sore loser, a sore winner, and she always put a smile on her face even though she was hurting inside. It makes me so happy to see her getting better after all this trauma.

She tore this girl and her mom to pieces 💔😢 no wonder they needed therapy. Chloe is such a strong and beautiful woman and such a strong dancer 🩰 Christi is a hell of a good mom she raised her well. ❤

Of course it’s still there. This show tore this poor baby girl up!
You can really see the down hill of Chloe’s mental health in season 4 on her face- then fast forward to season 6- that was the real Chloe. We got to see her finally express real human emotions because in the past they were never allowed to be present in front of Abby.
Abby was nothing but a bully who destroyed innocent children’s self image. So glad Chloe is working on herself, as I am too. 💖
Abby still to this day doesn’t hold herself accountable for her part in how her words and actions shaped and harmed children. Also, Lifetime and the show runners should be ashamed as well. They were children. Their physical and especially their emotional well being should have been protected. It wasn’t.
I completely agree. Also the fact that Abby scolds the girls for not being in contact with her and that Abby will never take responsibility for any of her actions, just shows that she’s a narcissist. I personally grew up with a narcissistic father, and I feel so bad for the girls that they had to go through so much trauma and abuse.
Chloe deserves the world. She was always my favorite, not only because of her dancing but who she was (and is) as a person. Beautiful girl inside and out…
OMG!!! You poor kiddo's you all were great, every single one of you. Abby seriously has some childhood trauma of her own she never dealt with and continued the cycle onto you amazing young women. Don't allow that horrible woman's words to break you down any longer YOU ARE AMAZING!

What do you mean? They should show their appreciation because without Abby and her studio Dance Moms wouldve never been a thing! Not only that but she taught these girls since they were 2 they oughta thank her. Abby isnt the only person on Earth who said something wrong or made a kid cry. It happens you learn from it and move on.

The way Abby talked to them was wrong, but I think what the mothers did by allowing it was wrong also. Those moms loved being on TV and being recognized in public.

As an adult...i still remember the damage that my teachers do to me in the school...and that little voice in my head of insecurity came from those moments. Teachers and adults needs to be emotional responsable around kids...they are sponge at that age and everything you said to they will be a believe system fundation. If someone is a teacher here...hey make the difference giving confidence to the kids that will be the future of our society

Production and Abby. The OG girls and their moms did not know what they were getting into. They knew Abby as their real life dance teacher and she was not as bad then she got worse with the popularity of the show. They signed contracts and got locked into them for a certain amount of time. They could not leave or else they would have been sued by the network.
@@Diamond-eq2xj yes and not to mention they were locked in predatory contracts and it was in 2008 and in 2008 there were no protection laws for children on reality TV shows so of course, all the moms and their kids were pretty much locked in their contracts for X amount of years.

I think this is a good representation of how important it is to always be kind to others. Sometimes your unkind words can push someone over the edge or even stick with them 10+ years later.

I all ways felt so bad for Chloe on dance mom. She worked her butt off and that monster Abby would tear that girl down. I remember I wanted to reach into the TV and just knot her out. Well her main girls have come out against her now too. So Abby karma kicks you in the butt. But did you get kicked. Remember bad people who hurt innocent young kids they don’t get away with it. Chloe is so poised and mature and articulate. She grew up into a classy, exemplary woman. Meanwhile Abby went to prison and is hated by many. Chloe is the clear winner here.

Apparently it was Gianna who questioned the score - she admitted it in a video where her & Abby talk about that scenario.
Whether Maddie correctly won or not, it's still a really rotten thing to do to a child, on National TV no less!

To anyone who still thinks that Abby is this holier than thou saint and an angel…..what dance teacher tears down one of their students so much to where that student begins to lose so much of their self worth and confidence? I get tough love, but Abby was manipulative and abusive. Also just an FYI to those who don’t remember….Chloe was the nicest, most poised and respectful person on the show so she didn’t deserve Abby’s disrespect and if she had any animosity towards Abby, rightfully so.
I will NEVER forget when Abby got abusive about Chloe’s “lazy eye”. I had liked Abby and agreed with her up until that point. It was then that I realized how rotten she really was. You do not attack a child for their physical appearance. Especially for a feature that they have no control over.

In my opinion Chloe was the best technical dancer on the team. I believe abby knew that. That's why she always put all her effort into Maddie. Khloe wouldve been the best dancer on the team if she had the opportunity to be.
i agree! i remember everyone wanted maddie to go against Kalani and she wouldn’t let it happen! She knew kalani would WASH maddie. maddie was a beautiful dancer too but there were other girls who needed abby’s attention so they can become the dancers that she wanted them to be at the time!!
it just never made sense to me that she would focus on maddie when she was clearly very technical and didn’t need as much training. other girls needed it and abby would get mad at them when they didn’t fix corrections, but obviously that’s gonna happen if you’re not focusing on the dancers that actually NEED the training!!

Abby was so cruel to Chloe, she didn’t even try to hide her disdain for that poor girl. She actively worked against her on so many occasions. Regardless of whatever problems she had with her mother, she should’ve never treated a little girl like that. Chloe is so beautiful and well spoken, it’s touching to see these girls supporting each other through their trauma (minus Jojo).
I'm sorry but this is not only Abby's fault but her mom Christi as well. I would have told my daughter to answer back to Abby and I would have cussed Abby out....

I truly don’t get how jojo can defend Abby. Like sure you have a better relationship than the other girls. But watching how she treated the other girls and what she said. Then she’s like well that’s “show biz”. Doesn’t matter
She can defend Abby because she treats other kids the same way as she was treated.
When she formed that little kids band she was so mean to those kids. So was her mom and she learned that from Abby and she didn't care who she hurt.
Jojo forgets Abby only speaks to her because she makes the most money, if Jojo hadnt had been so successful Abby wouldnt care for her at all. Jojo is also repating the same truama to children that she recieved.
Jojo has never had a normal childhood. She jumped from dance moms over to Nickelodeon, and after quiet on set we get an idea of how that could have been. She has likely never had the chance to be outside of the cutthroat dance world/entertainment industry in the same way these girls have. She is also only 20. She’ll get there eventually, but as of right now she probably is still too ‘in it’ to really see.

She could have walked away from all of the fame if she wanted to but she doesn't.

My personal opinion is the Moms/parents are to blame. Parents should always put their kids well being first. If they were under contract, they could've gotten attorneys to help get the girls away from Abby Lee. There were other studios. Look what it did to their daughters.
They were originally told it was a short documentary series of a few episodes but didn’t have the lawyers read over the contracts before signing not realizing that it was turned into a tv series and they basically had to film 4 seasons of the show to be let out of that contract
They did get their attorneys involved but because they were bined by contract they had to fulfill their 6 season contract. Kelly got out her contract after that fight with Abby. It’s unclear how Christi got out but she did return in Season 7 and she’s also doing a supernatural show which is being produced by lifetime!

@@JoyOgbatue Didn't I mention that in my post??? 😃 The moms had enough proof of emotional and verbal abuse. They could've gotten out of those contracts had they REALLY wanted to. There are laws that protect children from abuse. No excuses. They, the moms, just liked the fame too much.

THIS should have been the reunion - and thats IT.

I don't understand how parent can let that awful woman be so hostile and aggressive in the way she spoke to those kids. If a math teacher or science teacher treated their students the way Abby treated her students it would be an issue and folks wouldn't stand for it. So weird.

I was so glad Abby got caught lying. I felt so bad for Chloe. But if you watched the episode Maddie was mad until she got it. Chloe your Avery sweet young lady. You didn’t deserve that. Look where Abby’s favorite student is today she doesn’t have anything to do with Abby.
I don’t believe the way the girls were treated was right in anyway whatsoever, but I do also believe that it wasn’t all on Abby, the producers have their fair share of the blame too and as much as this next statement course some hate to come my way I do feel that the parents of the girls need to take some responsibility too. They could have pulled the girls from the show/studio and send them elsewhere, and as much as it’s said it was in the contracts, no court is gonna enforce a child to see said contract through if it’s causing them emotional pain and distress

idk her mother wasn’t much of a help to her career, i truly think of Christie acted like Melissa she could’ve gotten more ahead, i love Chloe but sometimes it confuses me how much she comes back and keeps talking about the same thing, idk if it’s sadness over what could’ve been for her since maddie career took off which is valid and understandable in the dance community, but at a certain point you have to be strong and forget about ppl

All the mothers very quickly knew the effect Abby had on their children and they chose to keep their children at Abby’s school. Why you ask? Because they all wanted the fame. No one would know who any of them are today if it weren’t for Abby. The children’s suffering is their parents fault.
If you can call Abby, Gianna, and the producers as the real villains (rightly so), why even do these reunion shows? You don't think the producers of THIS reunion would open up your trauma in the guise of healing too? oh right, the money. Y'all had years of social media platforms, tours, DIY meet and greets, and podcasts condemning the show and the trauma, yet still find new ways to revisit it.
