@SilhouetteSuccess Thanks for the demo! I will definitely be trying StarCraft vinyl. Will you be having any videos on Teckwrap vinyl or HTV?

I'm with you 100%. I have the The Paper Studio, as it is the only craft shop in my area (HL) so in a pinch it's where I go. I also found that weeding TPS, I use contact paper, it doesn't tear the vinyl. I love 651, and now I'm going to try Starcraft. Thank you, for this very informative video.

I got away from buying it because I needed something right away once, then just started buying off of Amazon or ruining to Michael's. I think I'm going to restock, though so I have it on hand.

I have been using Oracle 651 but I am new to using my Silhouette, so I will be interested in seeing the result of this test!

I purchased a Cricut Maker to do company stickers and vinyl lettering. Nothing complex, just some simple items. The Cricut vinyl (and transfer tape) was terrible, difficult to weed and apply. The machine cut incorrectly, and the Design Space software was excruciating to use. I moved on to Cameo 5, Designer Business, and some of your videos, and what a difference. Thanks for your contributions.

thanks for this Demo! I also love the Oracle and StarCraft vinyl. Unfortunately, I also have tons of the cricut vinyl and I really dislike it!

You should bundle it up and try to sell it online. 🤣

I've always bought it from 143vinyl. They ship quickly and customer service is great!

I’ve experienced similar results with Cricut. I’m pretty happy with HTVront. I like the plastic backing.

I use HTVRont quite a bit, as well. It's good - I just had a time finding the right settings for it.

I would have thought the Oracal, good to know there’s a very affordable option that is just as good, possibly better than the oracal

Not Surprising since I’ve heard nothing good about cricut vinyl. Nice to see the other brands compared.

BTW… Cricut vinyl gives me problems even when I cut it with my Cricut machine. Paper Studio vinyl tears easily, especially when applying it. I’ve never heard of Star Craft but for sure am going to try it. Thanks for this information.

I gave up on Cricut vinyl a long time ago. I just happened to have some left in my stash. LOL. I knew it was hard to work with, but the side by side comparison really showed how much more difficult it is. I wonder how many new users are turned off of this craft completely because they start off with Cricut vinyl??

I don't live in the US so our choices are limited to what Amazon has to offer. And I have to say that the Cricut, while being problematic (due to its flexibility but I've found there's a sweet spot in the blade depth that allows it to be weeded easily) while weeding, has stayed on my daughter's water bottle despite countless washes inside the dishwasher.

I'm glad you found a song that works! HtV ront is the save way. It took me days to find the right setting.

Ive been wanting to try Starcraft. I've been a loyal Oracal user but the price... Cricut vinyl is awful!! I've tried it and then even tried years later to see if anything had changed.
Thank you so much for this comparison!

I'm going to start building up my Starcraft inventory again. I used to have every color! 😂 Then I started using HTVRont because I could get it delivered the next day. The price is comparable, but Starcraft quality is top notch.

I've not used the Starcraft or Michael's brand...so can't assess those, but I do agree with your assessment of Paper Studio...it is thinner, which can be fiddly for more intricate projects. I do really like their HTV...and I'm not sure if it's a new supplier for some of their HTV, but I'm wondering if they are now getting Siser brand's source, which I've been good with for HTV. 1000% agree on Cricut brand! When my patrons ask which brands, I emphatically direct them away from Cricut and even Dollar Tree...those two brands will make people question their sanity.

    • @MimiJenkins
      @MimiJenkins 4 месяца назад

@@silhouettesuccess I have not had a problem with it. However, I don't generally cut things with small detail (no matter what vinyl I use it always ends up in a disaster) and I only really use it for personal crafts. Because it's so thin, it's great for putting on glass and inside frames.
