Bought mine today! He said that I was the first one in Sweden and one of the first in the world. With a 17cm wrist I was scared that it would be too big but I was pleasantly surprised of how well it fit my wrist. It is for sure a big watch but I think it works very well!
You have an average size wrist. It's a 42mm watch it's not big it's average for modern watches. Most watch brands mainly make watches between 41 and 43 for men.
This thing is so fucking badass. Tissot rules lately. I get why some folks experience the various prx variants as wearing too large with the way the lugs and the bracelet interact. Different strokes for different wrists. This is a legit alternative to the Hammy chronos which I also love. Thank you Teddy as always for such detailed coverage.
When you see the level of finish, the quality of the movement and the price of this watch, you realize how much the price of a Rolex Daytona or an AP Royal Oak Chrono is overvalued.
I own the Powermatic. Awesome fun watch if you have a large wrist. The brushed finish is not on the same planet as a Rolex however. You don’t see the cheaper finish unless you look really close. I like this massive watch and have fun wearing it. The chrono must wear massive.
I tried on 3 different PRX today and was surprised at how I did not like them on my wrist. Ended up going with a seastar instead. Delighted to finally own a tissot though.
I've felt like I'm the only one who hates this case and overall design. Even the Gentleman turns me off with the really wide stance on the wrist from the huge polished bezel. As much as I want to love Tissot their designs are always just a bit off for me. For anyone who does like this case design though I can see why they'd be pretty hyped.
Yep.. I felt the same. Tried on three PRX and just didn't hit right. Too shiny, too big, too pffft... Meh. I have a seven and half inch wrist and still looked bad ... Oh well, I dodged the hype I suppose. I really wanted to like it but.
Wearing my 35mm PRX as I watch this (which I purchased from you, Teddy!) and it’s a real stunner. It was even better than I expected, so I might need to grab one of these chronos as well! 🙌🔥
How big is your wrist, if you don't mind me asking?? I have a 7.25" wrist, maybe just slightly larger, and definitely plan on stopping somewhere to try it on before purchasing online as I'm not sure if it'll look TOO small or not. I bought a quartz 40mm not long after they came out, and loved it... But found myself wishing it was just a BIT smaller. I was able to find a great fit with the bracelet, and I was lucky enough to get one that didn't have any issues with the seconds hand not hitting the markers like so many have brought to light... But even on my wrist, the very large "real" lug-to-lug had me wanting a 36-38mm BADLY. It didn't exactly have any actual "overhang" but there was a bit of space between that first link and my skin, if that makes sense, which just bothered me a bit which ultimately pushed me to put it up on eBay back when it was nearly impossible to find the Blue or Black Dial Quartz in stock. Tissot makes Rubber straps for the PRX line, and makes an automatic 35mm and it's game over... I'll go buy another 40mm Quartz, put it on Black Rubber, and then grab a 35mm Automatic real quick!
@@idonotexist_ my wrist is about 6.5”. The 35mm is a perfect fit, especially with the integrated bracelet, since that gives it a slightly wider lug appearance, and lug-to-lug. The 42mm was too big for my wrist, unfortunately. I didn’t like the way it sat 🤷♂️
The Longines has a column wheel intergrated chrono for about £2000 after discounts. But this is much better looking albeit with a less distinguished movement. Also given the rotor and the rather industrial pearlage the transparent caseback might be a little unecessary. Love it though, saving up for the blue.
Agree that a column wheel chrono is perhaps more refined, a 7753 is going to be much more robust and require less servicing costs down the road. This is one of the main reasons why the Speedmaster Pro has always opted for a similar chronograph architecture.

It's kinda crazy how Tissot manage to pull off this great series of watches for this price. I think this will bring Tissot to become a much more popular brand in the future (considering they seem to have been looked at as a bit "meh" the past few years from what I've heard) . On another point, I'm currently opting to buy an automatic PRX, haven't yet set on what dial color, and maybe hoping they soon will release a new series of 40mm's with some interesting dial options. Even a day/date/moonphase with a cool dial layout, that would be my choice if I could pick! The crono is pretty sweet tho, I like the blue one a lot!

14.8mm thick? Damn…If I were to buy one, I’d probably go for the silver dial. If the watch was a millimeter smaller I’d consider it. It’s crazy how a millimeter makes a huge difference when it comes to watches. Excellent video Teddy.
More of a tool vibe, but take a look at the Archimede Outdoor Chronograph. Very similar case design, but more of a field watch dial, and only 13.8mm thick. It also doesn’t have an integrated bracelet
@@ajgross67 I really like the Hamilton Intramatic Chronograph for an affordable piece. Or a Longines Big Eye. I own a Zenith Chronomaster Sport & Speedmaster Racing

While definitely too large for my wrist and taste, it's a beautiful watch, and that Valjoux movement and accuracy are very desirable. While $1700 USD seems a lot, considering the price of other desirable near-luxury and luxury watches, it is actually quite reasonable. Maybe they could step up the case finishing a bit would be my only suggestion.

I've been asking the same question Teddy, "When are these watches available to purchase?". Now I have the answer and now I'll pop over to the AD and see them in the flesh. I have the 3 hand PRX PM80 blue dial and for the price it really is incredible value for the money given the quality of finish. The chronograph version looks great, the slim mid case hides the thickness well with a deeper case back and taller bezel. As you mention the well proven reliable Valjoux 7753 base movement in a watch this good at competitive price is hard to ignore if you like the PRX design with an integrated bracelet.
I picked up the Silver Diel last month ..It was my first watch from Your webstore so I got the first time customer discount! I have this watch in my weekly rotation , and honestly I do find myself bumping other watches to have it on more often. I am interested to see the straps they come out with for this watch. In the sun it looks Amazing going back and forth from looking silver to white. Happy I pulled the trigger and picked this up.
The PRX proved what Tissot is capable of and how hungry the market are for their watches. Imagine they release a new series of watches, dress, thin, hand wound, high quality, great value.
I tried this on last week at Zurich airport. The blue with white dials chrono felt a little too brash and chunky for my taste, especially since I already have a number of 43-45mm watches in my collection (Rolex Deepsea, Panerai Luminor, Breitling Chrono Avenger etc.). In the end I went for a blue dial PRX Powermatic, which seemed more simple, elegant and comfortable. Also saved myself about $1000. I would consider this chrono if it were all monochrome dial, like black with white numerals. Let’s see how the product line develops…
Very good looking watch for its price, the panda dial just brings the 70’s touch, golden era of watch design for me. Teddy, do you know if it will be a 36mm powematic version someday? For my 16cm wrist it will be a great notice. Thanks for your excellent videos!
I already ordered mine with blue dial. I saw it at an Authorize dealer and it looks much better in person than in pictures or videos. An automatic switch chronograph of mostly any other brand, could cost double the price or more. Even still above $1.5 K could be considered high, I consider that the price is fair for what you can obtain.
If Price wasn’t a concern, would you pick this, or the Maurice Lacroix Akon Chrono? I never thought I would want one of these, mostly because they are on the small side for my 8 1/2 inch wrist… But that panda dial… That might have to happen.
@@KnifeWatch i’m more concerned with which one is a better watch, a.k.a.: higher quality. If you are buying an integrated bracelet that’s not a Royal Oak or a notalius, you’ve kind of already given up its own identity. IMO anyway.

I’m from the Philippines 🇵🇭 I’m lucky enough to purchased the Panda version as my Christmas gift for myself after another year of hardwork as a frontliner in this time of pandemic. Thank you sir because your thoughts about this chronograph helped me to decide on buying it.😊
Tissot is doing a great game with the entire PRX series. One can get an historically-correct quartz version with decent price or go up in costs within the same general style.
Just bought the watch from Teddy. It’s a beautiful watch. It is massive though. Height and lug to lug. My wrist is 7 1/8-1/4” and this watch size is the limit for me. Other than the size, it’s a great watch. Tissot provides very very solid watches for the price.
@@TeddyBaldassarre hey Teddy, and chance you can give a little insight into a watch I purchased in 1997 on honeymoon. Daniel Mink model 1950 from 1900 series. can send pics. can't seem to find any info. thanks. love your content
I find it comical that people complain about this watch being too thick or too big in diameter unless you have an 8 inch wrist… I feel as if 90 percent of the people saying this have never tried the watch on in person. If they have tried it on in person and still came to the conclusion, they must either have an abnormally small wrist size of under 6 inches and are lying about how it fits big on their 8 inch wrist… Or they are afraid of going against the majority of people that say this watch is too big just by looking at pictures or a RUclips video. I myself put off buying this watch when it came out because I saw pictures of it on the wrist which looked huge. Started to fall in love with the look again and decided to order one in to the jeweler to try it on tor myself. As somebody with a 17cm wrist, or about 6.7 inches, I’m telling you this watch fits absolutely perfect on my wrist. Is it thicker than my 40 mm PRX? Of course. Is it disgustingly thick to the point it looks like you’re wearing a brick on your wrist as some people have said? No it’s not, and I question the judgment of some who have made comments of how this watch is way too big. They talk as if it was an invicta sea hunter, this is what I was expecting before I tried it on. In terms of diameter, it fits just slightly bigger than the 40 mm PRX, but barely. It is a lot thicker but like I said, it by no means is too thick to the point it looks stupid as some of those super oversized watches look these days. I find that wrist sizes are like d*ck sizes in the watch community. People will lie about their wrist sizes in the same way, it’s odd. Anybody that’s wearing a 35 mm PRX and claims that they have an 7.5-8 inch wrist are lying.. wearing a tiny watch with such a large wrist looks more stupid than wearing a slightly larger watch with a smaller wrist… my rant is over. I make my comment for reference for those that are considering buying this beautiful watch but are wondering if it will fit their wrist. Unless you have a super abnormally small wrist, it will fit just fine and look great on those with the average sized wrist such as mine. I normally wear 40-42 mm watches and this one fits like a true 42 on my wrist, just feels a little thicker and heavier which I enjoy the feel of. It is very comfortable and fits nice, you do not feel it’s weight at all.
Given the limited options for Valjoux chronograph calibers, I don't see this going south of 40 mm if they want to keep it mechanical. If they decide to open it up to quartz that would make it more flexible.
@@TeddyBaldassarre Maybe they can do an ST1901 manual wind version, and skim the size to 38, thickness down to 12mm, and price down to 500 bucks... Now THAT would be a steal, although not a Swiss watch anymore :)
Nice, had 2 Tissots once : a 35 mm 1939 6216 with column wheel Lemania CH27 and screwdown caseback, and same from 1945. Little collection pieces. Brand did go down since then tho but they're still nice.
I am really liking this watch! It looks great! This might be my next buy! Great video, love the footage of the watch looks amazing and stands out much more than the regular PRX!
I had the PRX Powermatic 80, but sold it to get some extra cash for my Omega AT. But goddamn do I miss that watch, and now seeing these I really want them.
tissot is becoming a game changer. their selection with their prices, and especially the PRX in all versions from quartz ( swiss watch for 350 dollars, WHAT!!!!) to this chrono, is unreal. omega had to do it with swatch, but the watch ended up being cheap plastic, this is a proper watch. a tissot PRX, a junghans max bill and a casio of your choice, you casn have a world class three watch collection for under 1000 and walk around looking like an absolute badass.
Looks awesome and a fantastic value at the RRP. I bought the 1853 heritage Chrono and was extremely pleased with the finishing and wear, but after using the Chrono realized it had a faulty movement (Chrono seconds hands wouldn’t reset to zero correctly and kept gaining around the dial) so back it went. That soured me to Tissot Chronos, but I gotta say I’m digging the Blue dial. May have to find one down the road… And great video!
Silver Dial is stunning. But, that’s pretty pricey for a Tissot. Hard to pull the trigger, even though I agree the value is there. Definitely want to see one in person before I decide.
As an owner of a blue dial Powermatic 80, I'm kinda underwhelmed with this watch. There are plenty of 40mm chronographs out there, and maybe the 2894 would have been a better choice. You may not get a 60hr PR but you get a much more wearable watch. I'm also not a fan of external date correctors, they're just another point of failure. Lastly, the gold hands and accents on the panda version are bleh.
Tissot just raised the price for the PRX Chrono! Made a video about it. It is a masterpiece and very beautiful. Can’t go with the comments that it is “too big”. Wear it live and see for yourself. I think it is a very very nice watch. The white one for me. Enjoy
Loving the watch and i'm happy you put it on your wrist (got the same size). I might still go check it out in person but I'm certainly going to get a PRX to add to my collection.
This is my forth Tissot watch and by far the best one. I couldn’t be any happier with it. I love the style, heavy weight, the way the light hits it etc. I’ve owned a Rolex Daytona and this watch into far off from it. The Daytona movement has a better finish, more durable and feels better made but not 14k more better. They don’t even make clear backs to even enjoy the movement so what’s the point in having a nice finish to the movement?!? Anyways, I sold my Rolexes a while back and couldn’t be happier with the Tissot brand. I own the gentlemen’s automatic anthracite, the PRX 80 auto in blue, the PRC 200 quartz (yellow hands) and now the PRX chronograph panda with the gold markers. I love them all!!
Is there any possibility of seeing a 38mm prx in next year 2023? Tissot's CEO mentioned in his video with Teddy that the original Seastar back in the 80's had all kinds of dial sizes available..
Tissot makes amazing watches, what i dont understand is why the pop back cases.. Why not a screwdown back that is more secure and easy to operate for maintenance...
Tissot are just badass. I am saving for ,y first expensive (relative!) watch, and I keep coming back to Tissot, simply because my Mum bought me one for my 21st, and i love it to this day.
I have to say that you are right with what you say…the PRX watches, and all of them, are amazing if you have a wrist that can take them. Having said this I did experience friends having small wrists being able to wear that watch appropriately. The new 35ers are an alternative if your wrist is to small….so this watch be worn by everyone
Never heard of them but reminds me of the late '80s early 90s citizens watches I adored so much. Love the sleek clean No nonsense frills dress up dress down look. 😁👍
I really do love this watch, I just think it looks out of place on a 6.25" wrist like mine. The powermatic 80 just seems like a better fit, and the chronograph hole in my collection will continue :(

In the sun it looks Amazing going back and forth from looking silver to white. Happy I pulled the trigger and picked this up.
Now THIS is very cool! Wow! 😱😱 just waaaay too big! Hopefully a smaller version comes out soon!
Breitling: "BIIIGGGGGER!!!!!!" 🤣🤣
Went to order the Powermatic 80 - saw these pictured in store - put my name down for one instead. Can't wait!!
The PRX proved what Tissot is capable of and how hungry the market are for their watches. Imagine they release a new series of watches, dress, thin, hand wound, high quality, great value.
That's not what people are buying, everyone just wants sports watches. So I say go look at say Nomos instead for that.
Another homerun from Tissot. The silver with gold hands really pops for me. However, although it should fit on my wrist, it is large.
Aikon has better finishing and a much better bracelet.
This is a must have over the Lacroix which has more its own identity
@@KnifeWatch i’m more concerned with which one is a better watch, a.k.a.: higher quality. If you are buying an integrated bracelet that’s not a Royal Oak or a notalius, you’ve kind of already given up its own identity. IMO anyway.
@@ColtCapperrune i owned the Aikon and now i own the Prx 80 blue dial, both watches are great value for money but the Prx overall look and feel on the wrist is a winner for me.
Just unboxed the prx chrono blue dial. Pure gold yo me. Don't regret a single thing
after all the hype on the Tissot PRX 35 automatic mother of pearl came to see it in person i was so disappointed way to small for my 7.5 inch wrist tried all the colors blue/ black/mop not for me even my wife didn't like the 35mm automatic prx mop. But noticed in the corner of my eye the Tissot prx 42 chronograph blue panda WOW watch a watch everything screams quality and craftsmanship the blue dial POPS felt like a Zenith El Primero or Rolex Daytona Panda.
Tissot PRX 42 Chronograph Blue Panda they did a home run. Nice video keep them coming❤
get the 35 for your gf/wife, perfect size for the ladies!
I’m from the Philippines 🇵🇭 I’m lucky enough to purchased the Panda version as my Christmas gift for myself after another year of hardwork as a frontliner in this time of pandemic. Thank you sir because your thoughts about this chronograph helped me to decide on buying it.😊
I own the Hamilton Intramatic Panda Chrono. I will be adding this to my collection as well.
It's looks excellent as well, Can't take your eyes off it.
Pretty seamless transition to a chronograph format.
@@TeddyBaldassarre hey Teddy, and chance you can give a little insight into a watch I purchased in 1997 on honeymoon.
Daniel Mink model 1950 from 1900 series. can send pics.
can't seem to find any info. thanks. love your content
I do love a nice Tissot. They look good, value priced and keep really accurate timing.
I recently bought a Tissot Le Locle (Powermatic 80) with the blue dial and aluminum wrist band.. love it!
It is very comfortable and fits nice, you do not feel it’s weight at all.
saw it at the dealer.. this thing is huge..
Waiting for a smaller version to come out, just like how the regular prx has a 35mm version after initial 40mm release
Given the limited options for Valjoux chronograph calibers, I don't see this going south of 40 mm if they want to keep it mechanical. If they decide to open it up to quartz that would make it more flexible.
I don't think that this will happen with this chronograph version, only with the normal PRX PW80 that will eventually have a 35mm version as well
They'd have to go with a manual chrono caliber, possibly even getting rid of the Valjou all together in order to make it fit
@@TeddyBaldassarre Maybe they can do an ST1901 manual wind version, and skim the size to 38, thickness down to 12mm, and price down to 500 bucks... Now THAT would be a steal, although not a Swiss watch anymore :)
The 35 mm is Quarz though
I have a prx powermatic l and it looks great. I also have another Tissot, and looking to get another one soon too. Love their collection
They need to put a manual wound chronograph movement and make it tad bit smaller and thinner
Looks superb at that price 🤤
I've been waiting for this review for a while. Lovely pieces. Can't truly decide which one I like best!
Can't bring myself to like the case shape. Reminds me of watches from the 80s
Yea, Tissot really hit the throttle in the design department with this line. Kudos to them!🤘🏻
Judging from your incredible (as usual) footage it is a stunner. Not sure about the 42mm, it's a chunky beast of a watch.
I've been waiting for this 😉
I had the PRX Powermatic 80, but sold it to get some extra cash for my Omega AT. But goddamn do I miss that watch, and now seeing these I really want them.
It would be awesome if tissot released quartz prx chronograph.
Quartz 😱😱😱
Looks like you are the first to review this watch sir.
Well done and kudos to you 👍🏻
tissot is becoming a game changer. their selection with their prices, and especially the PRX in all versions from quartz ( swiss watch for 350 dollars, WHAT!!!!) to this chrono, is unreal. omega had to do it with swatch, but the watch ended up being cheap plastic, this is a proper watch. a tissot PRX, a junghans max bill and a casio of your choice, you casn have a world class three watch collection for under 1000 and walk around looking like an absolute badass.
May have to find one down the road…
And great video!
Tissot is my favorite affordable watch
Just ordered the blue. Stoked! Thanks TB!
This watch shows what Tissot can do, right here a Mid Tier watch from Tissot. This is as good as any Swiss chronograph.
Enjoy
I really wish I could get over those sharp edges across the lugs, that reverse panda looks amazing
Loving the watch and i'm happy you put it on your wrist (got the same size). I might still go check it out in person but I'm certainly going to get a PRX to add to my collection.
I wasn’t a fan of the prx when I saw it in person. At 1700 for the prx Chrono I would definetely choose Hamilton chrono for 2000 in a heartbeat.
hey teddy why you didnt say weight of this watch, comfort isint mean weight ?
Wow this is a great one!!!
I disagree with you. In my opinion, it DOES look out of place (too large) on your wrist. I do like the watch though and may try one on.
I've lost the count on how many times I have watched this video just to see the watch on Teddy's wrist and convince myself that I can pull that off
Is there any possibility of seeing a 38mm prx in next year 2023? Tissot's CEO mentioned in his video with Teddy that the original Seastar back in the 80's had all kinds of dial sizes available..
It looks amazing. I love how it shines on direct sunlight
Tissot makes amazing watches, what i dont understand is why the pop back cases.. Why not a screwdown back that is more secure and easy to operate for maintenance...
That thing looks massive on wrist.
That thickness.... 14.8mm... just for that reason it's a no for me. I guess I'll just have to save up for a Speedmaster.
Tissot are just badass. I am saving for ,y first expensive (relative!) watch, and I keep coming back to Tissot, simply because my Mum bought me one for my 21st, and i love it to this day.
Chronograph version for me is more impressive the normal version.
Hey ! Great channel!
Do you guys sleep with your watches ? I’m curious 🧐 lol
Cheers from San Diego California
I have to say that you are right with what you say…the PRX watches, and all of them, are amazing if you have a wrist that can take them. Having said this I did experience friends having small wrists being able to wear that watch appropriately. The new 35ers are an alternative if your wrist is to small….so this watch be worn by everyone
Never heard of them but reminds me of the late '80s early 90s citizens watches I adored so much. Love the sleek clean No nonsense frills dress up dress down look. 😁👍
This is a dress chronograph. I love it. Hamilton makes a dress chronograph in their Jazzmaster line as well.
It's a chunky sports watch kinda like an ap offshore. If you wear this with a suit you'll look kinda weird my dude.
@@antonhallergren588 you're probably right.
I really do love this watch, I just think it looks out of place on a 6.25" wrist like mine. The powermatic 80 just seems like a better fit, and the chronograph hole in my collection will continue :(
I’m seriously considering getting this, Jomashop has them for 1250, that’s pretty good for a Swiss Chronograph.
Thank God they have not messed up the beat rate. I like it but I have a 16 cm weedy wrist so I'd have to try it..
I don't own any PRX's yet, but this version is by far my favourite.
I am a big Fan of the Swatch Group 👍
Tissot's PRX is a great product.
But Rado watches are also one of my favourites 👌
Pls makes some videos of RADO watches too
What a stunning piece but absolutely massive. Shame they don't make it in a more wearable 45mm lug to lug and 13mm thickness
Dude 42 mms isn't that big. It's average and for people with normal wrists. I for one don't want everything to go back to 36-38mms my wrist is just below 8inches.
@@antonhallergren588 it's all personal preference I guess. I think most people look better with a smaller, thinner more elegant watch then a chunky dinner plate on their wrist. The AP royal oak is a great example, everyone goes for the 41mm even though it looks ridiculously oversized where the 37 on most wrists is just the sweet spot
@@AP-cp1zt yeah buy I'm a larger guy aw well so that may contribute to smaller watches looking dainty on me.
The cinematics are insane!
Hands down best at its price point.
These look absolutely stunning. I’ve been waiting for something like this to come along.
Looks great but.......massive!!!
