My good friend @TeddyBaldassarre and I head to Bucherer in New York City, one of the best retail stores with many watch brands for you to choose from. Today, Teddy challenges me to build an ENTIRE watch collection for $12K!
“People make the assumption that you can’t even get one watch for $12,500.”
Come back down to earth with the rest of us here Kevin.
Same guy who said 3.5 billion people in poverty is great news. ruclips.net/video/AuqemytQ5QA/видео.html
0.1 percent of people think that
We all know we can get a watch for even 100$ but for me. A decent watch “a watch i might add to my collection” won’t cost less than 4000$
I got a Casio royale on cyber Monday for $13 bucks
@@abdulmohd3871 uhhh... Longines, tissot, Hamilton, tudor, Oris, even a new basic model IWC you can pickup for just a hair under 4k... so your saying even all these brands won't go into " your collection " 🤔 hmmm that is indeed quite dumb... unless your throwing only the top 7 or 8 in the world for swiss timepieces in their... I'm confused
the issue is that teddy knows too much about watches so he doesn’t always go for aesthetics
Totally agree. If I was to buy watches I would go for Kevin’s selection they looked better more interesting eye catching pieces. Teddy had the back story to each watch
Teddy is into horology. Kevin is into watches.
True but you gotta remember Teddy doesn't like to stand out like Kevin or Michael, he goes for simple watch and generally always goes for blue or unnoticeable colors
@@willpower3317яй1Ы́
exactly he cares more about the inside than the outside
I'm truly starting to admire Teddy as a watch expert. His knowledge is unbelievable. His comment on Rado being popular in Pakistan was spot on.
Agreed 💯 Kudos to you teddy
Teddy is the best. Kevin is an arrogant rich guy who thinks he's Master Po 😂
Yeah that was spot on as soon as I heard that. Just from this comment I know Teddy knows his stuff.
Rado was quite popular in the US in the 1970s. The Diastar was a top seller.
@@mor235 Not really as its equally popular in subcontinent, China and Middle-East. China is the biggest market followed by India and Middle East. He diluted the brand popularity by mentioning Pakistan only.
Teddy knows infinitely more about watches than Kevin, but you can’t deny that Kevin’s taste and eye for style is just so hard to compete with.
I dont like his red fetish thing, but I respect that he has his own style and is confident about it.
Brown nose
I think what makes it great is the combination of both Teddy’s profound and wonderfully nerdy knowledge of the manufacturers and the movements, and Kevin’s great sense of style. Thanks guys.
Well..alot of his are more eye catching but not necessarily better watches than Teddy's choices..and Teddy half the time sells them to him with the knowledge the watches.
Really?!
Kevin's choices were eclectic and elegant. Teddy's were simple yet beautiful. But my vote goes to Kevin. His philosophy of choosing gorgeous dials is spot on.
This should be a NETFLIX Series! I could watch you two talk and shop watches...all damn day.
Yes a series on any network would be great I’ve never seen one on watches..
the implosion of FTX from which mr wonderful was paid $15m to shill will likely be the series
Top Gear for Watches. Start with 5 episodes and see how it does.
Likewise 😊
Yeah that's great idea. He could donate all proceeds to the victims of FTX and any other scams this guy has/will promote.
Kevin and Teddy have got the best brotherly, pranker-ish rivalry and vibe, cannot get enough just laughing the whole way through!
Brotherly? More like grampa and grandson vibe.
More like teddy doesn’t have the guts to stand up to Kevin because he’s afraid of loosing his rich friend
Kevin giving back to all the folks that lost their money in FTX by helping them find affordable watches now that the company he promoted stole all their money.
He wasn’t running the company and had no control over what they were doing.
Who's the idiot that listens to financial "advices" from TV characters ? May as well listen to Cramer
The reason Madoff was nailed to the cross, he stole from the elite, and suckered them. SBF stole from the everyday sucker. This is why SBF, Ellison, etc are being treated with kid gloves. It's not cool to cheat the elite. But, it's perfectly ok to cheat the plebeians.
@@grammarboy1318 he did not do his due diligence. He said he did. He also accepted 15 million to be a spokesman
@@thereviewboss There is only so much due diligence anyone can do when there is fraud. Even banks and authorities get taken in those circumstances. I have come to realize that many forums, including this one (it’s far from the worst) attract comments from what I call the “righteously indignant”. People who know everything, and have never made a mistake in their perfect lives.
I'm definetly going to vote for Teddy!
Kevin has some good pieces but overall Teddys collection is just that more well rounded👍🏻
@telegrammemrreis5737 please don't!
My vote goes to Teddy! Very close fight but just for me, the more classic looks and he has more variety in the straps.

PRX Powermatic 90 lmao, gg
affordable my ass
I think Kevin clearly won this round! One fact that he took better risks, but ended up with some unique pieces that we haven't seen before. Norqain is doing incredible things (especially in collaboration with Jean-Claude Biver with the 'Wild One')!
That Hamilton is really nice tho
Teddy goes for movements in watches, but a lot of people don't care about those nearly as much. Like the Baume and Mercier is a very plain watch that most of us wouldn't pay that much for that design. But he loves the Baumatic movement and thinks it's a steal at that price. He also usually goes for a Nomos watch even though they look pretty boring usually (Club Sport is an exception) because of their in house movements. On the flip side, Kevin really could care less about the mechanics and just likes the look and the fanciness of a given watch, like most people
I'm rooting for Teddy on this one. The Baume & Mercier and that sweet Hamilton Chrono really stood out for me. This one was quite neck and neck to be honest.
I am usually pulling for Teddy, but I think Kevin destroyed him on this round. Please keep doing videos like this! It's so great to see that there is a lot to be excited about at these more reasonable price points and great to pay attention to it over some of the crazy pretentious stuff.
That Norquain GMT Kevin picked is SPECTACULAR! It looks like something Grand Seiko would do but with a bit of a european flair.
The Intramatic Chrono in Teddy's collection was the winner on his side.
Like Kevin said, he goes for dial diversity. Teddy is too predictable because his style is more about practicality and simplicity, not to mention he always picks blue
Teddy has some of the worst poor tasting watch choices ever
Yeah, Kevin usually wins hahah
WTF, Teddy wins this one easily. Kevin chose the ugliest watches possible
Kevin sure destroyed my savings after FTX blew up
i respect how Kevin still passionate in this budget category. he appreciate a beautiful time pieces in this price range, even though he can afford like any super luxury pieces.
Hate to say it but i love Kevin’s selection personally! Great video and always laugh watching you two go at it. Lol
I love these collaborations between Kevin and Teddy, such fantastic quality content and the dynamic/chemistry is so real and engaging between you two. Hope you do many more! Would love a Grand Seiko store episode

The chemistry between Kevin and Teddy is off the charts! Whenever Kevin starts talking about how affordable things are, Teddy has these hilarious reactions. And let's not even get started on the way Kevin says 'collection' - it's pure gold!

It was funny when they said they have an affordable budget of 12k, like it's peanuts.
And when Kevin said he didn't think he can get even one watch for that amount, even Teddy smiled.
Keep in mind that this 12k is for an entire collection. Something you would build up over years or decades. They’re blowing it all at once but in reality you don’t go out and buy your whole collection instantly. 12,000 dollars on a hobby over a decade is 1,200 bucks a year. That is very very doable. Most people spend more than that on fast food.
@@benbowland true.
Report the impersonator scammer who replied to you with the special characters in their username
@@benbowland Very good and educated response. Very good point.
@@benbowlandBecause we love watches, we tend to lose perspective and only get stuck in ours. $12k is a lot to spend on it, regardless of the timeframe.
I spend much more than those $1.2k a year on it, but because I am passionate about it. But still don't look at $12k like it's nothing.
This is really cool to watch. I love Kevin's actual interest and enthusiasm in learning about different brands and history; as well as Teddy's knowledge of these watches. Great content.
I usually skip videos which are more than 10 minutes. But this series of you with Teddy just amuse me. Great set of videos. Keep em coming
The winner is immaterial...what really matters here is the subtle chemistry between Kevin and Teddy..some of the looks Teddy gives the audience are priceless, and the way Kevin says "maison" and "collecion " makes me laugh until the cows come home. More of this sub genre please!
100% agree.
It’s always funny hearing Kevin mispronounce and butcher the French words 😂
I recently purchased that same exact Tissot PRX with the leather strap for an amazing discount during Christmas with a promotional code for around £195. The retailer emailed me and said it was an error and the watch was no longer in stock, I could either get a refund or wait 2 weeks for them to have Tissot send me one. I’m soo glad I waited it out, especially after seeing these 2 watch fanatics give such high praise to the watch. Tissot for the win.
I’m usually more in-line with Teddy’s mindset when it comes to watches. And Teddy almost got my vote with the Oris Big Crown pointer date, I love that watch. But I have to give this one to Kevin. Probably his biggest win to date for these contests. Love the selections, the dialog between these two, etc.
I actually prefer Kevins collection. I'd choose different colors for the longines and the oris though and maybe switch the norqain with a seiko alpinist and the quartz prx with an automatic one. That would be such a sick collection imo. Really like the Rado and the Mido watch. Never seen them before but they are beautiful.
"Fashionista" Kevin O'Leary sporting a gaping collar gap on his suit jacket AND he's buttoned the bottom button on the jacket. I'm experiencing second hand embarrassment.
Gentlemen, thank you for another informative and entertaining video! Kevin won this round but Teddy was closer than the previous competition. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,
Kevin wins. Teddy, your collection has great individual pieces, but as a collection, it feels like something is still missing or they don't make a nice complete collection. For Kevin, I would've gone with the new Oris pro pilot salmon dial with the new movement instead of the green dial! Thank you both for another great watch video.
I sold my Daytona after losing everything from the FTX debacle, so here I am to get guidance on cheaper watches. My Casio 168 is thankfully still working.
Teddy is a pro at budget watches whereas Kevin is a pro at extreme high value luxury watches
An hilarious way to learn about watches. Teddy is so kind, smart and informed about watches, but as usual, my vote is for Kevin.
1st 2 watches for Kevin do it for me, let alone the PRX at the end.

Nah, Teddy you got hammered this time! Kevin's selections were top notch.
Kevin usually wins these things IMO - I really liked this one because you were browsing a few watches that I look at regularly. The standout piece for Kevin was the Mido multiport, and the standout piece for Teddy was the Oris - but as a collection, Teddy finally wins one. I'm actually debating between the Mido and the Tissot PRX currently, so this was right on time.
I love the chemistry between these 2 and honestly aside from the "red band everything" I believe me and Kevin have a similar taste in watches lol Kevin definitely got this one. the Longines is sporty yet classy, the Norquain, although I usually don't go for a green face, is stunning, I would put a black leather band on that for sure. The Mido is has such a gorgeous dial point blank, and I love the band. As for the Tissot I prefer a quartz watch because they have actual quartz crystals and in them and I love quartz crystals, also I prefer the blue leather band to the the stainless steel band on Teddys PRX powermatic.
Quartz gets a bad rap. They are superbly accurate and so effortless to own. I have a beautiful IWC Pilot but it is not accurate. Furthermore, with a mechanical watch you need winders to keep 'em running otherwise you're always starting with a dead watch if you wear multiple watches for different occasions. By the way, hope Kevin and Teddy touch on winders some day.
The challenge would have been interesting to have a budget of only 5k dollars for 4-5 watches
True! Would have made it tighter.

I like that idea
Kevin definitely won this round, what a stunning collection!
I must admit, Kevin has exceptional
taste. Looking at his collection overall, everything fits so well together, there’s a great variety of colours and textures, without ever looking too alien. Love it
@Jack Smith lol. It’s all laughable
As a woman that longines was spectacular - I hate watching all these channels and these guys have these huge watches on their wrists. Smaller sizes - but not as small as 'traditional women's watches' - are my favorite. I can't go above 38-39mm tbh - though depending on the style I can get away with a 'smaller' looking 40mm

Finally, I can afford this all off my crypto gains I made through FTX.

Kevin a real bozo for that one
Me too. Time to spend the 15 Mil that I got from FTX.

Epic comment 👌
Most of us do make the assumption we could get at least one watch for $12,500
After FTX fell, Kevin can only get cheaper watches
Keep these collab coming! They are GREAT
It's amusing, that the Tissot is added almost as an afterthought -- I loved the dial so much, I had to buy my own. Wonderful watch, wonderful video.
I'm voting for Kevin once again. Of course Teddy knows all about the collection, but Kevin definitely has a sense of style

i 100% agree kevin win this, love the kevin picking the collection, PERFECT !! Kevin WIN !!
This was Kevin's best performance in one of these in my opinion, ironically enough given his penchant for lavish pieces.
He buys ultra luxury but you can tell he's a true enthusiast when he sees entry level and attainable luxury brands, not to mention he's not just buying them you actually see him wearing them proudly
Lost all my money in FTX so now its a Casio A158wa from here on out.
Love you guys together. Teddy. You have some great pieces. But Mr Wonderful has added it again lol. The prx with the quartz on the strap is a steal
The Tissot PRX Quartz for only $325 put it over the top for Kevin. Absolute steal.
But that Hamilton is absolutely beautiful and sexy. Wow.
@24:15 "People do not make the assumption that they can get even one watch for $12,500." Kevin showing here in spectacular fashion just how out of touch he is with the common consumer. Aside from that, this was a fantastic video.

I’m very impressed with Kevin‘s ability to not only have a very diverse sense of style in the dials he is selecting, But he’s also being very efficient with the spending while he’s doing it. No doubt these are skills that made him an exceptional investor.
Ted and Kevin have a unique chemistry that's enjoyable to watch, but I have to give the edge to Kevin here. He really has an eye for the dial and I'm picking up on that when I'm shopping and it doesn't have to be expensive to be great. I hope you two enjoyed Christmas and New Years and looking forward over the new year with more entertaining episodes with you two.
Loved your stuff UNTIL you started misleading people about the FTX fiasco!!
I'm really learning a lot from Teddy, but I have to begrudgingly go with Kevin's haul. Not a bad watch in either collection.
I really want to get a PRX sometime soon. Given that the quartz is right around $300 (less than half the price of the automatic), that's one that's really hard to pass up. That $400-500 discount over the automatic will pay for a lot of batteries.
Picked up a MaMaCoo 's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Aesthetic-wise Kevin, mechanic-wise Teddy, overall Kevin's selection is much beautiful for my taste.
Fascinating. Enlightening. Inspiring. Never thought I could collect so many nice, stunning quality watches for so little money. Kevin and Teddy, you are showcasing great watches. I am headed to the store tomorrow. Great show, keep it up! Ps. Production note: You could use a little fill lighting when you display your final choices in the wide shot. Pretty dark at the final counter.

Teddy is such class... the way he doesnt say anything, when you say, "most people dont think you can get 1 watch for $12,500". Just silent and big smile. Lol
Take a shot every time Kevin says, "dial" references his fondness for his "red band."
