      @@BPJJohn They dont know even to this day. Some belive it vaporized, some scientist say it was so fast that it got flung out of the high density area of the atmosphere and thus avoided vaporization.

    .50 SLAP is really quite terrifying against the Leopard 1 side armor. Like imagine you're in a relatively modern tank and someone just comes up with an anti-materiel rifle and starts putting big dents on the tank?

    .50 BMG vs leopard 1 side armor was really interesting! I know the doctrine of the Leo 1 was that armor was less important because HEAT existed, so to see that .50 BMG could have actually done something with enough rounds to the side armor is curious.

    My friends and I did the math and found that a potato would have to travel at about 54 km/s to pierce 150mm of tank armor. I’d like to see that simulated if you could

    Though we must not forget that Nokias are not made from tungsten but "Nokiatonium". A material so hard that it cannot be shaped and only whole crystals can be extracted also called "nokia 3310"

No pen on the armor, but the turret might just get blown off by the sheer amount of kinetic energy. If the shell weighs 90kg and is going at 900m/s then it's about 36 megajoules of energy. In comparison the 3bm42 Mango, Russia's most widely used apfsds has 7mj of energy. The M829A3, the most widely used apfsds in the US army tank arsenal has 12mj of energy.

    I wonder what it looks like when a Harpoon missile warhead hits the battleship's side armor? The mass of the warhead is 500 pounds, the speed is 278 m/s. If I'm not mistaken, then in structure it looks like an 8-inch semi-armor-piercing projectile.

      Ansys uses only a few type of Quadro gpus, So i am rendering with CPU, i have a R5 5600x

    Lots of weebs believe swords especially Katanas can cut through just about anything....
    Can you make a video to debunk this myth?
    Modeling a section of a blade (hardened), going at various speeds, flying at some random mild steel rod or something. Maybe one with realistic speed and one with utopic fast speed that would actually get a result but also destroy the blade.
    That would be great!!!

    The terminal ballistics of Nokia phones should be a standardized portion of the testing procedure in these simulations. There will always be a surplus of them.

    please, I'd like to see a 4 wheel vehicle(car) taking a turn, adding the effect of weight transfer on the wheels, and the aerodynamic (or any normal force) downforce, so I can see the when the car slides, a tutorial or even a timelapse workflow video would be great, if thats not too much to ask for🙂🙂 you'd be helping me a lot.
