heres a realistic idea, can you simulate a bullet hitting depleted uranium armor and steel armor to see the difference. (The thickness of the plates will be 5mm at 45 degrees and the bullet being used is a standard 5.56 FMJ)
The manhole cover from the nuclear bomb explosion test in 1957, weight was 4000 pound steel and was launched at 64,000 m/s against anything you desire!
You could one shot any battleship or supercarrier with that without losing much energy. (Not sure which one is more durable, battleship with heavy armour, or carrier that isn't much armoured, but is much larger)
Does Ansys support relativistic speeds? It'd be fun to see like a steel BB hit a 50 mm plate of steel at like 5000 km/s. Though at such energies I dont think its about penetration anymore, but sublimation of steel to gas (or plasma), or with high enough energies a fusion of the projectile into the target material. Which in other words would be a fusion nuclear bomb going off
Its funny to see every day items just be fucking thrown at armor of a tank or anything and it just either dsetory the thing its going at or it just become nothing but air, great content as always
Could you simulate the effect of a "Rods from God" fired on a large armor plate? It was a theoretical orbital kinetic bombardment weapon system which launches a 6.1 meter long, 30 centimeter tungsten rod traveling at about 3000 meters/second. Would love to see what would happen, if thats even possible to simulate.
A projectile of your choice and a tank of your choice but the tank is flying toward the projectile while the projectile is flying towards the tank resulting in a mid air collision, the projectile may also be a tank
Just asking, is it possible to create a model made of some material which would rather crack than being deformed? Just like human bone, its obvious that that skull wouldn't deform, it would just crack.
Can you do a simulation of the 50mm KwK38 L/42 against the front of the turret on the KV-2 (a flat part of the front of the turret) at a distance of 100m to 200m?
so what is the hardest material known to man, then use that material to make a very sharp and long spike, now yeet that thing into whatever armour you decided was fit (if your going to plan to what was the word again, anyways a something of it)

He can reuse the material from the skull and simulate a CV90 possibly?
Maybe a Hammer (high hardness brittle metal) hitting another Hammer?
