As a french fella I was really scared to scroll down the comments... I was expecting lots of hate coming from Americans, insulting our country, our culture and everything that goes with it. But I was happily surprised when I saw that a huge majority of the comments are actually really thankful, full of joy and respect!
You fellow americans have got to teach the notion of fun to Donald and teach him how to embrace it, poor guy was probably experiencing it for the first time and as he didn't know what it was, he fought it with his grumpy face haha.

Actually there is a delay with the difference camera feeds. You can see that the audience claps in unison, but not to the music.

Here in Sweden when we have military bands playing at some important day it's not uncommon for the bands to play popular songs in the evening after the official schedule is over.
In France it's completely uncommon this is why we are proud :)
Good job to the French marching band, putting all the units together took work, like the show. Hope to see them at the DCI Championship in the future some day. Marching band is not easy, especially without yard lines helping. Love the drumline and tubas.

Give me a break, Antonio R.S., I'm from the US (Chicago), straight, and I'm closer to Trump's age than to Macron's and I know both groups, and like some of their music. Honestly, I think he wasn't majorly impressed with this performance simply because it was a fairly small marching band and not the massed military might you would see somewhere like North Korea or Russia. Throw in some tanks doing choreography to Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, and Macron would have owned him.
