Really sorry for my accent and odd way to read my script, I'm not comfortable speaking, especially in another language, but this video was also a way to test myself.

It contains “JoyCons Metroid” which is, obviously, built for the Metroid Prime Trilogy.
The “JoyCons” preset is a more modern style layout than the other, which you’ve surely guessed it, emulates the Wiimote + Nunchuk layout in the best way I could do.
(You can also just modify them if you want)
The gamepads profiles path is usualy *\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Config\Profiles\Wiimote (if not, try in *Your Dolphin Installation*\Config\Profiles\Wiimote)
First, you will need to have installed BetterJoyForCemu :

And you need to have paired your JoyCons to your PC.
Start BetterJoyForCemu and Connect your Joycons.
Then start Dolphin, click on controllers, and then Alternate Input Sources and enable the DSU Client.
Verify that both BetterJoy and Dolphin are configured to the same ip adress and port.
Close Alternate input and reduce BetterJoy window then open the Emulated Wiimote configuration window.
-Reset to default so that the Input boxes in the “motion input” tab are automatically filled with the correct controller. I suggest that you should absolutely bind a button to recenter the motion controls, because it will often become off centered.
-Select the “DSUClient/x/DualShock 4” input coressponding to the JoyCon you want to be the pointer (x being the number of the JoyCon that is in your dominant hand)
(you can easily check which one is which by switching between the two DSUClient inputs while moving the desired JoyCon and see if the Accel values change)
If you wish to use the Nunchuk, go to the “Extension Motion Input” tab and right click on the input boxes, then map each accel axes to their corresponding input. Do keep in mind that you need to change to the correct joycon input source in the dropdown menu.
You can then configure the buttons however you want.

How big is the lag for bluetooth usbs? I'm using an integrated card on my pc with no problems with a wii mote but this has been a lot laggier than it should be. Are there any other steps I can take to reduce latency?
I personally notice no noticeable lag input with my Bluetooth dongle, there shouldn't be any with yours too (except if it's a really cheap obscure Chinese one, but I think that it's not the case ^^') it's either some other Bluetooth devices(or wireless devices using the same frequency) that is perturbing the communication between your PC and your joycons.
I remember having trouble when I first connected my joycons to my PC, but I don't know what solved it (try updating your drivers, your joycons, if necessary uninstall then resync the joycons from your PC)
@@Silails Nah I use a good card, but do you think that 2,4 GHz Wifi affects the performance? And also v6.1 fixes the input lag for the buttons but not for the motion controls
@@ZenovaXD maybe, my WiFi USB dongle is on the front of my PC an the Bluetooth at the back, I don't get lag input, maybe if you have a WiFi card + a wireless keyboard + a wireless mouse, it could badly affect the connection
Be sure you update every drivers via the device manager, and your joycons via the controllers option menu on the switch
@@Silails Ah ok, I have a wireless mouse so it could be the reason for that. Even with the updated bluetooth drivers it's still doing some whack inputs but oh well.
@@ZenovaXD Did you tried to play with your mouse receiver unplugged? (I'm curious to know if this "fix" the problem)

Great video! Motion input for the nunchuk has been implemented in 5.0-11478, so you can now map the other joycon Motion to the nunchuk directly!

Thanks for this guide been playing Mario Galaxy. Haven't played it since 2007 the Joy-Cons work just like the Wiimote and I followed the updated guide on how to use the nunchuk motion sensor too. Appreciate the help, sir.

Little feedback from my experience (tried with Skyward Sword) : I tried with a 45€ internal Bluetooth board and the controls were really funky (lags, desync...). Tried again with a 2$ chinese BLE dongle and it works perfectly xD. Merci Silails

@@Silails I modified some of the controls by making two .ini files for the L and R Joycons respectively. I'm having a problem getting the shake to work in the left joycon for the Numchuk. Any ideas how I can get it to work?
@@nuadacube you don't need separate profiles to make the Nunchuk work, my custom profiles should be ready to go with the latest version of BetterJoy and Dolphin
BUT if you need to do this for an other reason, make sure the name of the device is the right one (for a better understanding watch my update video on the Nunchuk)
If you want 2 or more players to have different motion input, just put a different name in the "Description" field in "Alternate Input Sources" then change the device in the "Device" dropdown for each of the players
You could also launch 2 of the same app if possible

Does pointing work with how you did it? I've often found seeing guides that the Point controller function doesn't get setup.

@@Silails It's fine. Unfortunately I found that the tools used are not crossplatform at all, but exclusively for Windows.

Which Bluetooth version your computer or dongle has ? Because I have bluetooth 5.1 and joycons disconnects after a while and I have to pair them again to make it work. Thank you
My Bluetooth is also 5.1, I never encountered this issue but I also never played more than 15 minutes with this setup, but while making these videos the joycons were connected for an hour or more but I never got any disconnections, might be the batteries, the drivers, or your Bluetooth adapter (pcie card, integrated or dongle)

@@Silails I tried with an earlier version of Dolphin and now it works! I'm not quite sure if in the most recent versions they have removed the "Alternate Input" section on settings but I can't find it anywhere

my joycon Red has a lot of lag or input delay, you know how to solve this?, cheers.
Maybe because of other Bluetooth devices connected to your PC, could also be because the other joycon or an other wireless device is perturbing your red joycon communication to your PC, it sometimes happens to me, make sure that you don't have any devices between your joycons and your PC (could simply be your phone) and also, make sure to use the latest version of bettejoy for cemu, to have up to date Bluetooth drivers and that your joycons are also updated

everything works fine but the second i start a game in dolphin the right controller kind of disconnects the blue light stays on but inputs dont register i cant reconnect it until i close the game and windows says its paired but not connected

i figured out it only happens in mario galaxy for some reason but in mario kart wii the cursor drifts to the side making the whole motion control thing useless because i cant get it to work properly

You have to add the betterjoy "server" app to the dolphin alternate input, go watch the update marked live and check in the description for the important time stamps

Tbh the collection is pretty worth it for it's collection value (and honestly, the ports are not that bad, plus being able to play those games while on the go is really nice ^^), but you are welcome ^^
Everything is working pretty okay except my joycons keep disconnecting from my PC. What would you recommend I do to fix this?
Sorry, for te late response, check if you have anything that could disrupt your bluetooth connection (anything that uses 2.4ghz (other bluetooth or wifi devices), check if your bluetooth is at least 3.0 (the best would be at least 5.0), you can also delete the joycons from your PC, connect them to your switch, restart your PC, and reconnect them to your PC

Quick question, is it normal for the pointer to not only invert left & right, but show the pointer upside-down? (If you could make a tutorial, it would REALLY help)
no, you probably accidentaly checked the wrong case (one that says invert wiimote or up side down or something like that)
I went through dolphin emulator > config, I tried looking the file "Profile" but then it doesnt show up? do i have to create a new one?

im having a problem where dolphin is thinking my joycon is a Playstation controller and thus doesnt recognise my Sr and Lr buttons, is there a way to fix this?
Side buttons aren't available when using betterjoy, if you are not using betterjoy, I don't know how to help you

1. how to connect both joycon individually, so I can play wii sport 2 players using R & L joycon
2. any preset to set the gyro orientation is vertical, similar like holding wiimote? I got mine horizontal (tried all your preset).

In BetterJoyForCemu your joycons should be upward if you want to play single player games, but to separate them and to be able to play 2 player games with a single pair of joycons, they should be sideways in BetterJoyForCemu: to do so, click on one of them.
Then in dolphin you just have to load one of my configuration for the 2nd wiimote ,then change from "DSUClient 1" to "DSUClient 2" and remap the buttons to the corresponding controller
Silails thanks for the response. I did that, but the gyro doesnt work both joycon. The gyro is working if only one joycon connected upward. Don’t know why.

Can joy-con have the same effect as the will remote with "sensor bar"? I am not sure if the sensor bar is really critical for dolphin emulator.

Hi, i have a problem, my left joycon pointer works perfect but the stick is inverted up and down and when I try to use the right one as the pointer it works, but now that I try it again the left and right moves are inverted too, I think it's related to the use of cemuhook it is?

my computer fan is louder than usual, is this normal? also when trying to play wii sports and wii play, it worked the first time perfectly but fps tanked to 20 fps when i launched the game again, i have a good pc so idk what's happening
I can't really help you with that, most probably a hardware problem , if it's a laptop verify if it's plugged in correctly and that it's in performance mode, dry air the fan intake
If it's a desktop same thing, dry air all the fans and clean up the dust filters (GPU also) (if you are comfortable with it and ONLY IF, repaste your CPU if nothing changed)
If nothing worked maybe a malware or something else

this video released near the same day an update that made the "alternate input sources" tab obsolete, please refer to the Nunchuk update video
When I play wii sports it says that I need to disconnect the extension controller from wii motionplus accessory. Anyway to fix?
In the Extension dropdown, select "None"

maybe I have some different version of dolphin, but my controller menu doesn't have an alternate input button anywhere, my dolphin version says 5.9
They recently (last month or two) changed a few things around, so there's one more thing to do to make it work, you have to add BetterJoy to the list in Alternate Input Sources (watch the beginning of the VOD from a stream I did recently for a better understanding: 6:00 to 6:23 )

this is really good for wii sports
For some reason the recenter will randomly not work for me. It will either do nothing at all or recenter to some random point where I have to hold the joy con backwards/sideways/etc for it to actually be in the middle. I can't find anything about this on the internet either so I don't know what I could possibly do
When recentering you have to hold the joycon in your prefered neutral position, and make sure that in BetterJoy both joycons are standing up
Hey is there a way you can update this tutorial for Primehack 1.0.4? I had to map everything from scratch after updating and the camera movements I mapped are a little wonky. I had mapped the individual Up-Down-Left-Right movements to my right joycon X & Y motion inputs but its a bit of an unexpected result from what I was anticipating.
Primehack uses a custom version of Dolphin and is primarily used to play the Prime trilogy with a keyboard and mouse (controllers are supported too for a gameplay experience similar to any other shooters on other consoles, with the right stick controlling the camera)
If you want to play Prime with the joycons and the motion controls, just use the main Dolphin (beta release) and install the textures and/or quality of life improvement mods you installed with Primehack

Make sure all of your drivers are up to date and when synching your joycons to your PC, keep them on a flat surface)
If you bought tour Bluetooth dongle for 5$, it's probably a bad one, and make sure it's at least bluetooth 5.0

My version of Dolphin doesn't have the alternate input sources option, does that mean that it's too old?
Not really, it's because you're on the stable branch, you need to be on the beta, for that go into the settings and under updates there should be a drop-down menu where you can chose to receive the beta updates
For those looking for the Alternate Input Sources make sure you're running Dolphin 5.0-11083 or newer.
Actually it's not quite right, Alternate Input Sources has been replaced by something better just before I released this video, so I made an other video explaining the new way to configure the nunchuk with the joycons

Does betterjoyforcemu work on mac os catalina? I've been looking everywhere and theres no straight forward answer.
I don't think so, I do not use mac OS but there might be some alternate software, but I don't think emulator developers and affiliates are interested in developing anything for Mac, I think it's too painful to develop for it, even more since they dropped 32bit compatibility
I think you would have more luck finding an alternate software for Linux and running a Virtual Machine on your Mac

i have an issue, the motion controls are off and when i try playing wii sports resort it keeps telling me that i need to disconnect the controller *(nunchuck)* from the wii motion plus device can you help me please?
For the disconnection of the Nunchuk you have to go inside the controller settings and in the extension dropdown menu, select "None"

so the question is Is it normal my red joy-con home button to glow in neon blue when its connected to my PC? (i love it btw lol)

1. Yes it's normal, there's a check box that you need to uncheck if you want to disable the home button LED named "HomeLEDOn"
2.It's also normal, the name of the DSUClient from BetterJoy changed some updates ago, it's now named DSUClient/0/BetterJoy

Awesome video, this saved me from not even wanting to play skyward sword on PC. When I try to point to the left of the screen... well that's the thing I just can't. I can only go on the right. How would I fix that?
Edit: My big question is how do I make the motion controls more sensitive, so I don't have to move the controllers around as much
To make it so that the cursor can go to all borders of the screen, in the Motion Input tab modify the Total yaw to a greater value (I highly recommend to put the value to 360° so that increase in the offset between the cursor and the joycon postition and doesn't happen that often)

Hello, this doesn't work for me, when I enter in the configuration of the wiimote, it appears to me that is disconnected.
I dunno what to do, if anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it.
What is disconnected? (the joycons I know, but in the device list, what is missing?)

The controller detects me, like a dualshock, but it says the following
'' [Disconnected] DSUClient / 1 / DualShock 4 ''
And, in the device list, nothing is missing, I think.

@@Silails It detects them as XInput / 1 / Gamepad, and when I put the mapping already done as that of `` JoyCons Wiimote Style '' is when it appears that it is disconnected.

hi I have an issue, the motion inputs and simulation for both joycons work fine but If I select DSU/Client1 it only connects the right joycon and If I select client 0 its the inverse, is there any way to connect both joycons? Or just one
The nunchuk tutorial says what to do, you only need to select dsu/1 for the wiimote, then dsu/0 for the nunchuk by right clicking the input box

The gamepads profiles path is usualy *\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Config\Profiles\Wiimote (if not, try in *Your Dolphin Installation*\Config\Profiles\Wiimote
@@leonmeister6994 if you play games that need them yes (this is for Wii games only, and the goal of this tutorial is to get the motion control to work)

The profiles aren't working, I did everything in the description but when i click profiles on dolphin all i get is "Wii Remote with MotionPlus Pointing (Stock)"
what is your dolphin version? check in Help > About (should be 5.0-14519 or later )

@@Average-Username you might be on the dev branch if it's higher than 5.0-14519 (I'll check if there's recent dev updates f up the configs)
but it shouldn't be the case and the latest dev version is 5.0-14519 (beta is 5.0-14344 my bad)
so to go back to your issue, you extracted the configs to "...\My Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Config\Profiles\Wiimote" and then launched Dolphin but in controllers > Wii Remote 1 : "Emulated Wii Remote" > Configure there was only the default "Wii Remote with MotionPlus Pointing (Stock)" Profile available?
How do I use the other joy con as nunchuck
@@ShayanLife by following the other tutorial (nunchuck update) but also adapting it to the new way of doing it (or just search for a more recent tutorial on youtube, mine is a bit outdated ^^')
Is there a way to calibrate the gyroscope? Because sometimes it gets wonky
You have to push the recenter button (R3 or L3 in my config) if it becomes off-centre, there's no work around the pointer becoming off-centre that I know of

i'm sorry if i'm coming off as a dick but why the hell is there so much lag. I tried new super mario bros and it was pretty much unplayable but i mean they work so. i just wanna know if theirs anyway to fix this
1. Check if there's no other wireless devices that could be perturbing the signal between your joycons and your PC
2. Make sure your Bluetooth drivers are up to date and that your joycons are also up to date

They should be the folder I mentioned in the description just under the link for the config presets
(And be sure to check the follow up tutorial to this video (the Nunchuk update video) this video was already partially out of date when I uploaded it)
@@Silails Lovely reply, soon after I just decided to undertake the project of just making my own preset but both your videos made it much less troublesome, and I kinda screamed like a little girl when I got the motion controls and everything to work just right

In my dolphin app i do not see the alternate input sources tab. I have the latest version of dolphin, but i do not know how to set up the DSU.

for the z axis i can only put gyro pitch up or down but not both
You amhave to right click the input box, manually select gyro pitch down, click on the & button, and then select pitch up
