Skyler Mead I didn't know that he passed away that a darn shame I heard this song in the movie called valentine and I also have the soundtrack to the movie too has well and he his a hardcore rock metal band
Same! I met him at OzzFest 2000 in Mansfield MA...he was on a Segway and it was the very 1st time I EVER saw one! It felt like I was in a futuristic sci-fi movie 😂...he was really sweet and soft spoken Rest In Paradise Wayne Static. Legends Never Die. 💫💖💫
Saw them once on what would be their final tour the year before Wayne passed away... One of the best shows I had ever seen would give anything to relive that night again... RIP Wayne we miss you brother 🤘🏻
Proof you don't need to know the entire chord library or scales to make amazing music. I believe Wayne himself said he knew he wasn't a good guitarist but he could make cool sounding shit.
Wayne was more interested in creating simple, catchy riffs that would dig into the brain and burrow deep. I heard somewhere that he said that he wanted the sound of the band to have more emphasis on heavy beats and chunky riffs, with minimal flaunting in the songs in ways of solos and the like. The whole emphasis was simplicity with that electronic flair amplifying the music, birthing the Evil Disco sub-sub-genre that only Static has done. I'm glad that nobody has tried to copy the sound because it would almost be insulting to do so. Wayne created something beautiful in the world of Nu Metal, and it will stay with those guys forever.
Who doesn't love a good chunky riff. I do. I remember being dragged along by a mate to a gig a few years ago by one of the "best guitarists on the planet"... After the initial ten minutes of saying "wow this guy is amazing", it followed an hour of utter boredom while he twiddled his way up and down the fret board. I couldn't even go to the bar as it was closed 😊 Would prefer to listen to this all day long
I feel the same way. I just started learning to sing/play, but hearing my songs get stuck in peoples head is the best! 2019 Dislaimer: In no way am I comparing myself or my music to that of the legendary Static-X. I can only hope to end up making cool sounding shit that a few people might enjoy listening to.
I got married at 23 so I completely understand the entirety of this song 😅 Being so into someone that you can't express it, eventually falling into vulgarity and frustration. Ahhh to be young and vibrant again 🥰
Made more famous due to credit in the ost of valentine and also a completely inspired(ripped off version) was used by a wrestling tag team called kronik in wcw
I just discovered his music about a year ago, I think its bad ass, when I found out he was dead I was saddened to hear it because I wanted to see him live, he strikes me as a guy I would love to have a beer with, and by the way I am 50 years old and there are more of us out there, old timers rockin to Wayne!!!!
This song is truly something special. They sound the same and amazing as in the studio. I keep coming back to this specific concert recording of the song every year. So good
I Miss him so much, Wayne Static and his rock will live forever.... why do the good ones die young. . I love his music, he is my one and only band that I can say I truly love...
He actually wasn't that young! He died at 48, although that isn't that old. He just looked really young! Must have been because he was vegetarian lol RIP Wayne!
Watching him live was incredible. He sounded so professional and still had a wonderful time on stage it seemed. He had this energy that was so infectious. You just wanted to lose yourself in the overall Build up of each song if you are a fan! Miss you Brother!
I was at this show almost died gettin crushed by a big dude! but I am flying through here somewhere!! I have been to 3 of their shows and I have seen so many bands live and they have always been best shows hands down
Janis Landing venue 🤘🤘 hell yes amigo. This was long time ago. Killer show. Dope was awesome aswell. Seen them few times with American Headcharge and Powermam 5000.
Love and miss you Wayne... The fact this is live and sounds even better than the album version is a testament to how amazing Wayne ans the fellas were. RIP Wayne
One of the best live shows. First heard this music in early 90’s. Seen them a few times. Draven the drummer was so kewl. I should’ve let him hug me. Too much for me at the time I guess. .
It’s 2022 I was scrolling through RUclips shorts and a tribute to Wayne static video came up. Immediately I searched up this song right after the video. This the first time seeing this live version. Love the energy of the entire band but Wayne’s was on the upper echelon he was amazing such a badass.
Edsel (front man for DOPE) who toured with Wayne and Static X for years is filling in as "Zero" and pays GREAT TRIBUTE to Wayne. I just saw them last Friday 11/6/19 and it was AWESOME !!!! I recommend anyone that loves Static X to go see them. It's definitely worth it !!!
Fortunate to see them back in the day open for Pantera. I have seen a lot of bands, could more easily name who I havent seen. Never felt my chest cave in to a thundering wall of sound quite as hard as they went. Missed.
Братух прикинь начал конкретно их слушать только после ухода Static x... Я знал о них , но тогда слушал Rammstein. А сейчас слушаю и я в шоке от всех 😂😂😂😂 и от себя 😂
This is my favorite song from Wayne Satix... tomorrow I turn 63, so happy I found this video. RIP Wayne

I can listen to this song on repeat for hours. It’s so overall amazing and special with the performance.
This is my favorite one to listen to by far.

I can't believe it's 2023 and all the shit we've been through!! Thank God Static X existed for us to escape this insane reality 🤯
The early 2000s produced so many amazing bands.

I joined the party late. Never listened to these guys before. I wished I’d discovered them years ago.
Have you heard Wayne's solo album Pighammer? It has a feel closer to their Wisconsin Death Trip and Machine albums if you like the heavier sound.
I was a fan through my middle and high school days. Talk about being in the zone for wrestling tournaments.... RiP Wayne Static
NFS MOST WANTED got me hooked on Static x
Same here, love it
One of the best bands and vocalists ever
I got married at 23 so I completely understand the entirety of this song 😅
Being so into someone that you can't express it, eventually falling into vulgarity and frustration.
Ahhh to be young and vibrant again 🥰
"I can't believe I'm letting you do this to me"-sample in the beginning is from the movie Nadja (1994)
I've searching for this sample ever since I first heard the song (about 5 years). Thank you very much 😁
