I would call it more of a resurrection than a replacement but yeah i believe its morbid enough along with talented enough to convincingly pull it off with the respect the accuracy of the vocals and guitar deserve that Wayne would dig it!
Though obviously no one's gonna beat the uniqueness and creativity of Wayne forever on the Static X's legacy. I've noticed that Edsel has a stronger vocal chords. Thumbs up to him!
Thank you, Xero, for keeping the Static-X alive. Sublimating yourself to keep the Wayne persona alive is a bold choice, but we seem to love it. Cheers!
Saw Static-X open for Slayer and Pantera in San Jose, California. Craziest show I've ever seen. The entire floor of the hockey arena was a mosh pit. Started as a bunch of small ones that just kept growing into one giant swirling pit.
Watched Satic X open for Korn in the UK some years ago, I'm a Korn fan but for me that evening, Static X were the band for me! (in fact left not long after as i'd seen Korn earlier that week at a festival & only went to see 'SX'. Been a fan ever since, such a shame Wayne has been taken from the world, we can only guess now how big they would have been... This is a cool 'riff' on the band though, great idea. 👍🤙🖖✌🤘👌🍻
i get to see them in about a month and a smaller local venue, and its gonna be fuckin sick \m/ Never seen Static-X and Dope, but haven seen Sevendust a few times!
My first concert that i can actually remember was static x in a small venue in 05 for start a war. I fucking loved. They played in want to fucking break it live. Ive never seen any videos of them playing that particular song live
Want to see this new version…seen the original band with Wayne a few times. It was soooo fucking awesome! Love Wayne love they are still going strong! Gotta see Damn it!!
The LEDs are above his eyes. There's enough of a gap in the masks eye sockets for him to see through. The camera and stage smoke makes the bright red LEDs bloom, seamlessly covering his eye slits.
K holy shit it's awesome they are rebuilding Wayne's legacy and I had the pleasure to see them live with Wayne and now the new vocalist I look forward seeing them soon in boston
And here we are against all unbelievable odds we have been blessed to be able to say "Have you heard that new Linkin Park song or album" we may all still carry a Chester shaped hole in our souls but at least we still have mike and the boys as well as an incredibly talented new beginning with Emily! As a member of the radio station music media back then I have been lucky enough have had a many few conversations with ches about different things and I base that opinion on words he actually said directly to me not third person speculation!
Actually saw dope on their first tour with Static-X is before felons and revolutionaries even came out, they didn't seem to like static acts too much to begin with at least when I talk to him but I guess that changed since both trip and now Edsel have joined in different capacities
The masked dude is Edsel Dope, he was my neighbor in Villa Park, IL. A long with the rest of his band "Dope". Really nice dudes. Very hard not to bother them when I knew a huge rock icon had just pulled up to the house but didn't want attention.

Crazy how good Edsel sounded for doing 2 performances a night. Keeping Evil Disco alive! Static X fan since 99.
Edsel from Dope? Just heard him, yep…
I thought it was Wednesday 13 at first because they sound so similar
he's great isn't he. He really likes Static-X and does a good job covering Wayne.
@@Spyke-lz2hl think it was mate
It never occurred to me how similar Edsel and Wayne's voices are until regeneration. Honestly couldn't tell.
A true badass! Edsel is doing his job for both Static X and Dope and he did it perfectly. Worthy of the highest respect!
Dope! I thought i recognised that voice from somewhere
Dude u r so fucking right hell yea
I love the cyborg wayne persona.
The way they handled this replacement is probably one of the most unique and respectful ways any band ever has. So cool.
Why? Because they stuck a mask on some guys head because they wanted to keep making money on Wayne's back while he is dead? Oh yeah. very gracious

How dare people demand compensation for their labor!
It’s like Wayne was posthumously replaced by an awesome terminator cyborg. Which rules (even if it’s sad.) Wayne would have LOVED it.

i love what they're doing with cyborg wayne. dope as hell

Holy shit as a fan as dope and static x i call it sick 😍😍
Amazing to hear him sing just like Wayne… love Dope/StaticX
I went to see them in Lisbon in 2004 with Wayne Static, what a concert!!! watching this video reminds me of the good old days

The cyborg XerO look is instantly iconic.

We still miss you Wayne \m/💔\m/
I have done untold damage to my neck with this song for years 💀
I really hope they keep touring a few more years! I haven't been able to make my schedule work to see them. But they Rock!!!
Keep this treasure of a band going
Love it. Amazing vocals and mask and name.
I LOVED the "SalUUUD CAVRONEEEEEES!!!!" As a New Mexican, it's nice to hear that every now and then.
Childhood me playing Shawn Palmers Pro Snowboarder while jamming to Static-X, Orange 9mm and Spineshank.
That game was underrated 💪🏽💯

Seemed like a kickass show. I wished I would've seen them live before Wayne passed.
que static-x venga a Chile por favor.
Can't wait to see them in Myrtle Beach next month!
I meet Tony twice, both after a Ministry show. Super nice guy.
He does a great job I don’t care what anyone says long live the static 🤘🏻

Where’s the Zombie at? Doesn’t he only come out during Z0mbie? I saw a picture of the zombie for this song while browsing RUclips.

I understand and Appreciate what they're doing, but it's okay to let this band die with Wayne. You guys had a good run.
3:43 worth of local band BS chit chat
Anyone who attends modern static x shows should do some research and genuinely consider the kind of people they support. Rip Wayne
Why what does this mean. Explain a little further. I'm curious about it.
