Definitely better than the in bed aluminium box. And to verify that im old, was a huge fan of the 70s tool boxes on the old fords bed sides! Lol. You definitely have the dream garage!!!! Sweet
If I can ever afford a new truck, it will definitely have them. Mega cab, Cummins, Rambox. That's my dream. Why people call this bad side boxes a “RAM boxes”? I have those boxes in 2002 on my Avalanche. I throw in those boxes all lose staff: towing hitch ball, harnesses, tie down straps, braking bar, some tools, road flares, mosquito nets for the window, rain suit, gloves, and this staff in one box/ Other box is empty.
One problem with these boxes- you have to empty them from time to time, to remember what staff you have there.
Good review of the Ram Boxes. I wonder if the bed cover required is the same size as a no Ram Box Ram? Or; if I get the Ram Boxes do I have to search for special sized bed covers?
I have the Ram boxes on my 2019 and the fit of the door does not align with the body. There is no adjustment to the door. I’m taking mine in on Monday to have it replaced. They said it is a very common problem with the doors. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
Biggest draw back is the space they take up in the bed of the truck. When you are loading 4 ft wide drywall/plywood while it fits it's so much easier without the ram boxes. Not a big deal for the weekend do it yourself guy but for a guy that loads these materials daily , I'd rather have the tool box than the ram box. Just my opinion.
Finding a bed rack that fits the rambox is a bitch and a half. That's my current problem. I run a window cleaning company and I want it so that I can carry ladders but I also want to use the rambox systems for the smaller tools and rags. 😫😫😫

hi, sorry for asking, but the 110w outlet in the ram box, is it powered by a separate battery or from the main car battery? And if it the latter, is it possible to connect a separate for it so you don't drain main one ? thank you very much:)
There is a switch in the cab to activate it but the main power source is the truck battery I don’t believe there is a second one unless you have an etorque but I’m sure it would cut out before it drained your battery

Q. Has either sides of your Ram boxes leaked due to rainfall?
Cool video.
i have the 2018 ram with boxes, no leaking.
Mine have never leaked
Not good for my kayaks nor my mountain bikes. Couldn’t even fit my paddle in that narrow bed. At least with an aluminium box you could always remove in less than 5 minutes if you needed more space.
Can you fit 4 wheeler in the bed?
T'hey only come on that useless to me 5'7'' bed. Not to mention you can't put a decent chainsaw in them so it's a pass for me.Now that split tailgate, might spend the money saved on that!
But why should I intentionally buy a 50,000 dollar hunk of garbage for some boxes in my box walls?
Will it hold plywood fine with that space used?
yes
Where is your tonneau cover from?
truxedo
I thought I wanted them but glad I didn't get them or I would not have been able to cap it.
Never thought about that
Probably special tonneau covers.
I do a lot of heavier trailer towing, are the Ram Boxes available on the 3500 dually?
So will a typical 4x8 sheet of plywood slide in the box still with the ram boxes?
yup no problem
