  • Please enjoy this unreleased recording of Hex Omega in celebration of Watershed's recent 15th anniversary.
For those interested, I've paired it with an old surrealist video by Henri Chomette, titled Jeux de reflets et de la vitesse (1925). Pretty experimental for the era...
Mikael Åkerfeldt - vocals and guitar
    Fredrik Åkesson - guitar
Per Wiberg - keys and vocals
    Martin Mendez - bass
    Martin Axenrot - drums

Massive, ballsy and classic Opeth (despite the full clean vocals). Love it

Yowza! Outstanding song. And the Chomette video!! :D ...And-- Hey, this is most certainly the best quality live version of Hex Omega that I've ever heard... In The_Karst we Trust!

Thanks! Same here - I never gave this one much time until about a year ago, but I've since come to appreciate it much more.

I consider Watershed to be their best album. Derelict Herds has the best growlings and evil atmosphere. I wish they had performed it in 2008.

Agreed! I've always felt as if Watershed is an album that doesn't get nearly as much love as it deserves from the fanbase.

@@LaughingGhastly What a pity that they deleted tracks which meant to be the continuation of the record but Opeth know better.

Watershed is a very solid album.
Don't pay attention to those who say the only good records from Opeth are the same ones people praise all the time (Blackwater Park, Still Life, Ghost Reveries).
I mean, Opeth makes great music in general. The only important thing about musical tastes is music connecting with your feelings when you listen to it.
