What a song... You are making a divine work, Sir. Bless you. You are becoming the ultimate gatekeeper to Opeth's bootlegs pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. And what a generous gatekeeper you are! Thank you! Btw, the RT version is definitely beautiful. I was blessed by seeing Opeth live two times during the tour that was immortalized in TRT, I saw them in Dec 2005 and in Dec 2006. Some of the best concerts I've ever been to. This recording is haunting. Thank you and I hope you keep them coming. ❤
Real life fairy dust must be sprinkled on this recording... it is out of this world! THANK YOU, Karst. Not to poop on Opeth's recent work (I absolutely do find things to love in all of their albums, and I never miss a show in my area), but maaaaan... It would be a very welcome miracle if they would return to this level of true-Opethian stylistic greatness on their 2024 album, or the one after that, or the one after...
His voice was already closer to the Royal Albert Hall vocals than Roundhouse Tapes, but it's still a great performance and recording. Mr. Karst, can you perhaps share any soundboard or other good quality performances of Burden? Much love, your uploads bring me much joy! \m/
Thanks for the upload! It feels like Axe rushed this one a bit especially in the first half. Kinda takes macabre feeling out of the song. Still a great recording.
Been waiting for you to release this for a year haha. This totally has a different vibe compared to the RT version, it’s so nice to have multiple versions, both perfect in their own ways. Love the editing btw!
@@sushskull3005 Ah, got it. I mean, that 1992 performance was live - just in a rehearsal room. I have much better quality recordings from the next couple of years, but they never played Whispers in front of a crowd other than during a sound check in October 1995. One copy of a video exists of that performance, but I unfortunately don't have it. They never played Whispers again. As for BRI, that was played live for the first time in November 2022. It was never played since being adapted from Whispers in 1996.
It's a painting from 1645 called "A River near a Town, by Moonlight." Aert van der Neer was the artist. Van der Neer was one from the so-called "Dutch Golden Age," and while many other landscape artists of that era captured the accuracy of their environment, few could match the emotional weight of van der Neer.

Yeah you can hear his voice changing on Watershed, tone was never the same after 2008.
1:10 Godly riff. One day I want to record a guitar cover of this album and learn how they construct these beautiful harmonies.
Your helping the community stay alive between albums

This outro is one of the best versions I've heard of this track. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you so much! I was looking for a good live performance of this song for this tour ever since you shared the outro :) this is golden
Another absolute gem by Karst. Thanks dude 🖤

How come the sound quality is so good even though it's a concert recording??
It's magic. In The_Karst we trust!
any recordings oof black rose immortal from old lineup?
Sure - I posted a 1992 recording a couple of years ago. It used to be called Whispers of Golgotha, so if you look that up you should find it.
@@The_Karst not the demo but actual performance of the song

Do you have the recording of karma played in 2005 with lopez?
I'm afraid Karma was never played live until 2009, so there are no recordings of this one with Lopez :(
@@The_Karst any recordings of beneath the mire from 2005 or 2006?
@@sushskull3005 No, I'm afraid this was never played live then either :(
hey, whats the painting you used as artwork in the video?

@@The_Karst thanks for the reply man. I cherish your uploads.
7:40 onwards is always so much better than the rest of the song. it's insane
The first two minutes is my favourite.
