    Fe, além do neutralizante regular o pH do cabelo, ele faz o tioglicolato de amônia parar de agir no fio por completo, então se alguma mechinha ficar sem receber o neutralizante, conforme os dias passam, ela vai emborrachar e quebrar. Eu gosto de fazer assim: aplicar uma vez o neutralizante com enxágue (porque se você sentir que ele esquentou no fio, é porque ainda tem resíduo do produto de alisamento e você precisa enxaguar mais) e aí aplica novamente e deixa o tempo recomendado pelo fabricante. Eu geralmente passo uns minutinhos pra garantir MESMO que todos os fios foram 100% neutralizados. Quando o cabelo ta com neutralizante ele sempre precisa estar 100% alinhado retinho com um pente fino, pois é essa a parte que vai manter a forma lisa. Outra dica que eu gosto pra quem faz tioglicolato é aplicar um condicionador ou qualquer creme de pentear/máscara que tenha amodimethicone nas pontas e partes mais sensíveis do cabelo, e o creme alisante por cima, já que ele vai igualar a porosidade do fio, e ele penetra mais igualmente. Só na parte do neutralizante que não, esse precisa penetrar sem barreira nenhuma. Essa linha da Matrix é ótima. É uma pena a Matrix não existir mais aqui no Brasil, eles tinham produtos maravilhosos e em conta. Aqui geralmente temos que ir pros brasileiros ou pro Xtenso da L'Oréal ou o Wellastrate da Wella.     Edit: pra evitar as pontas espichadas é só evitar aplicar o produto de alisamento nos últimos centímetros do cabelo, aí eles só recebem o produto produto por alguns minutos quando o cabelo for enxaguado, e não fica tão liso.

      Muito boa sua dica de não passar o produto nas pontas! O duro é que, conforme cresce, a gente vai cortando as pontas e uma hora essa ponta esticada aparece de novo 😞 mas essa foi a unica vez que alisei. Não gostei do efeito. Prefiro secar com secador mesmo, rs.

    I forgot to explain in the video that I left the product for about 35 minutes total in my hair. I also would like to mention that I am using only my @cantodafefa Instagram account (different than the account mentioned on the video).

    I love that you kept breking rules! Hahahh. I had japanese hair straightening done for about 20 years but always at salons, always paying tons of money and always following their aftercare instructions strictly. Then I decided to grow out my curls for a few years and right now I’m sick of it and can’t wait to do this at home, save money, and break some rules!! 😅🙏🏽❤️

      I’ve only done it once, like in the video, but not anymore. I like the waves better, I don’t like my hair too straight. I haven’t had too much breakage during that time, but it does make your hair more fragile like most chemical processes.

    Maybe I missed it but you didn’t mention how long did you leave the first straightening cream on for? Also, I’ve heard people doing keratin treatment right after neutralizing, what do you think about it?

      The instructions say to leave from 20-45 minutes total, I left for 35 minutes. About the keratin treatment right after, I'm not sure if it would affect the straightening result (maybe not), but iI think it can be very tiring doing 2 long hair processes at once.

    My hair is very curly and lightened from dark brown to ginger. I want to try this so bad. I'm worried my hair will fall out

      It you’re hair is about 20% bleached, you’re okay to try the chemical straightening. Treat your hair with Olaplex n3 before the treatment, it really makes a huge difference!

      The same. I have to blow dry because I have too much hair and it takes too long to air dry in this freezing Canadian winter 😊

    U said start from bottom nd move ur way up, but u starting at the root. Is the root the bottom ?

      When I said the bottom I meant the bottom back of the hair (that’s the way I prefer working). Work on the roots first and then work along the hair length on each strand. I hope it’s all clear now 😊

    Is it still called Japanese straight when the product is not Japanese?

      The technology was started by a Japanese woman so I guess the name just stuck

      35 minutes total. The process is called Japanese Hair straightening, but the product doesn't need to be Japanese.

      It doesn’t come off. You need to cut your hair and let new hair grow to get rid of all this chemical.

      Thank you so much ❤️ The Japanese hair straightening changes the hair structure permanently, there’s no way to reverse. You either have to do a touch up on the roots as it grows in order to keep your hair straight, or, if you want your curls back, you will have to wait your hair grow and cut off the part that received the treatment.

      Honestly, I have no clue what brand is, I bought online a long time ago from a foreign website because I saw a good advertising, haha! This flat iron has an option for steaming the hair, but I have never tried steaming while flat ironing though. If I find out the brand, I'll come back to let you know.

    This product can’t be used on bleached hair. You are lucky it didn’t react and you lost hair

      This product is for sensitized hair, which means hair that has been previously chemically treated or bleached.
