      It depends on how quick your roots grow. If your roots grow slower than you will have the perm for longer, than if your roots grow faster than you will need a touch up. This treatment is great.

    Hey, the only way to make your regrowth blend well is to comb your hair into a tight ponytail as it's drying, put hair spray on and itll dry fairly straight at the roots

    Hey Tereza!
    I just stumbled across your channel and decided to watch this video! Loved seeing your results and 1000% know exactly how you feel once month 3 comes around.
    I have had Japanese Hair Straightening (JHS) for 2+ years now (no regrets).
    I have much much curlier hair (I have Afro textured hair Type 4b). So you can imagine a small afro growing with a bunch of long straight hair attached to it...looks 10 times more ridiculous lol.
    So here's some advice for blending your new growth once month 3 comes around: (you can pick one or multiple)
    - use your blowdryer directly on your scalp area (in sections) and focus on straighting your hair via blowdrying. Then run a flatiron through the roots only (touch up the ends is optional).
    Or
    - give in and install a form of Heatless curl (flexi rods, sock curls, rollers, ect) and air dry your hair so your hair is all curled or waved in the same manner.
    I strongly would advise learning how to use your blowdryer more efficiently so you can straighten your roots better. I say this because I can tell you want to wear your hair straight regardless of the regrowth amount.
    Also make sure your flatiron is a quality one and the temperature is high enough to deal with the roots.
    Hopes this helps!!

    Was the cost less? What do you plan on doing when you decide to let it just grow out again? My daughter wants her hair straightened with this system, but she wants her curls back in a year or so, wondering how you curly girls will handle the grow out when you're ready to go back to curls. :-)

    • @TerezaTichackova
      @TerezaTichackova  Год назад +4

      Yes! I think about $250. The regrowth phase is not pretty to be honest, but definitely doable. I was lucky it was lockdown the first time I got this done 😆
      That being said, there’s always options - straightening the roots, curling the straight parts, or just leaving it be… depends on personal preferences 😊

  • @elharrop

    Looks great. I had an 'organic smoothing treatment' in Brighton, UK and it did absolutely. Nothing!! Ive just had a 'nanokeratin' treatment done and will be washing it tomorrow to see the results. I have a feeling it's not going to be that effective either. I'll try Japanese next just worried about the cost.

    • @elharrop
      @elharrop 3 месяца назад

      @@Bijinstraightstudio Budget? Where did you get that from? The treatment cost me £200. Then a further £20 for the salon grade shampoo. That's an awful lot of money to me.

    • @Bijinstraightstudio
      @Bijinstraightstudio 3 месяца назад

      @elharrop I read, "worried about the cost." I do this for a living and I see the results when someone was more concerned with the cost than the experience of the stylist. Here, in Dallas, Texas, it averages $650. I'm not familiar with your money system. The range is $120-$170/hr.

    Hey u look super pretty.
    I have got few questions, please could you help me as i just got my japanese straightened done.
    1. Should i be using any specific shampoo, the one suggested by hair dresser was super expensive.
    2. Whats the process of hair wash, do you put shampoo and conditioner or hair mask?
    3. Can we use any heat appliances like curling hair etc.
    4. This is my first time, honestly i am feeling good but also nervous for my first hair wash, any tips as i will be doing myself the first wash.

      @TerezaTichackova  9 месяцев назад +1

      1. I recommend using the shampoo your hairdresser recommends.
      2. I use shampoo and conditioner as normal!
      3. Yes you can use any heat tools after the first 48 hours 😊

    • @Bijinstraightstudio
      @Bijinstraightstudio 3 месяца назад

      @HarshSupriya-sj3bm ypir hairstylist should have answered these for you. Your hair is chemically the same as before. ALL product was removed the day of service. Only ypur structure has changed, so you're not required to use a specific shampoo. However, starlight hair shows everything. If you're using a shampoo with sodium hydroxide... chunk it in the trash ASAP. It's very drying to say the least.
      Get a very good wet brush, too. No gimmicky wet brush with moving parts like a hand shape or with little beads or extra bristles.
      Never scrub your strands with a towel to dry them. It rough up the cuticle layer and encourages frizzy breakage.

    First, girl, i don't know where you're at, but i think $500 is way too much. Around Bay area you should be able to do it for 200 and under, esp since your hair isn't that long.
    I've done this as a teen and liked it. But last time i did it, i feel like it was too flat around the head which made my face look fat:( yours look beautiful!

      Hi Julianna! Hopefully you can find a good salon in Toronto, I recommend simply googling it or looking for Japanese salons (most of them do it). First appointment was about $500 and touch up about $250 (sounds like a lot, but just think about all the time you are saving every day...). Bleached hair could be an issue though, but I am not a professional so you may be better off just asking the salon you find about it. Good luck! :)
