    ✯WHERE I GOT MY PERM DONE✯
    www.yelp.com/biz/japanese-hai...
    Japanese hair straigtening, also called 'thermal reconditioning' which is basically a type of perm that will turn you curly, wavy, and/or frizzy hair pin straight. The chemicals in the perm break down your 'curly bonds' and then the stylist will straighten your hair with a flat iron, to set your hair in that straight shape. The stylist will then reseal or permanently set the shape of your hair with another cream chemical. The ONLY way to get your natural texture back is to grow out your hair and then cut the treated hair off.
    I actually have been doing this perm since 2017 and in 2020 I decided to start over and give my curly hair a chance. I soon realized why I permed my hair in the first place. I'm just super lazy honestly. So at the end of June 2021, I decided to get the perm again. My haircut it a little wonky, but I'm okay with growing it out for a while.

    I have 3c/4a hair. I like my hair texture but it's so hard and time-consuming to take care of it properly. Plus, quality curly hair products are quite expensive in my country. When I started my curly hair journey it did get better, but as years went by my hair quality started to slowly get worse and worse, and now my hair (especially my baby hairs) are super dry and in my ends I have knots in each of my hairs. So now I'm looking for healthy ways to straighten my hair because I would take better care of it.

      I commend you for that because atleast when it grows out it’s all natural I just can’t commit to shaving my head so I trim as I go yes it’s weird having two hair textures but my ends aren’t completely straight because when I first got the treatment I was under the assumption it was a keratin not a Japanese straightening so I kept trying to scrunch which made my ends wavy so the top is curly middle is straight ends is wavy but I’ve been trimming and it’s helping and my new growth is growing so 2 more years and I will be ready to do a big chop

    I was introduce to Jian by my sister who follows your channel. I had bleached hair last summer and it was totally damaged. I decided to go to Jian December of last year. I love my hair. It is much healthier, thicker, and so easy to manage. Personally I am not a big fan of doing my hair, However this hair perm is everything. All I actually do is just color my hair a week after the treatment to cover my grays. (no ammonia dye) and Co wash it every two weeks or so. Thank you for all your videos.

    This looks so good!! I absolutely love it.
    I don't think I'll be able to get it in the country I'm currently living in but this will definitely be something I'll revisit and do more research on when i move in the future. I'm blasian and very lazy, so I just put my hair in a sad bun as it's too curly and frizzy to let loose but it gets easily messy when i braid it so i don't even feel like that's worth it. This seems so perfect in all honesty. I'd rather have my hair a bit damaged through this than have it damaged due to the poor treatment I give it every day lmao. again tho, loved the video and keep on rocking with your hair

      I wanted to try and give my curly hair a chance, but honestly as soon as I cut it I remembered why I got the perm in the first place haha but I wasn't too mad because we were in quarantine and I didnt really have to do my hair often. The permed hair was still good I just wanted a change for a bit

    I think your natural hair looks prettier I went to a salon to get a keratin and they Japanese straighten my hair without telling me and it’s been a nightmare trying to get my curly hair 👩🏻‍🦱 back it’s been a year since I did and some of my new curly hair 👩🏻‍🦱 grew back but now it looks crazy it’s two different textures I had to trim the straight pieces off little by little because I don’t want to shave my head but I regret doing this treatment yes it makes the hair straight but it makes it lifeless and thin you end up legit looking like the little girl from the grudge my natural hair texture was prettier especially when I blew it out it was more thicker and fuller but now that my curly hair is growing back it’s down to my ears it grew that much with in the year I’m trying to grow it out completely and then chop off the straight pieces. Furthermore, the new hair that’s grown in when I blow it out it’s more fuller and thicker on top and then the part that’s still chemically straighten it’s thin when I blow it out it’s thin you can tell the difference I would never do this to my hair ever again all my hair stylists was like wow you had such beautiful hair before. Terrible experience would never do this to my hair again. I wouldn’t suggest this to anyone because you will miss your curly hair 👩🏻‍🦱 and then when you try to wash it out no matter how many times you wash it , it won’t come out because it permanently changes your hair structure. If you have curly hair or wavy hair and when this treatment grows out your going to look weird for at-least 3 years tops until your hair texture comes completely back. The best thing when transitioning back to your natural texture less heat deep condition when the natural texture does grow back compared to the Japanese straightening part of your hair you will see wow my natural hair is beautiful and when you blow it wow the volume with the nape as straightening your hair is just flat and thin that’s so boring to me if you don’t want hair stuck to your face don’t do this unless your fine with chopping your whole hair off if I show you my pictures before and after you will agree wow you shouldn’t of did that and the salon I went they should of ask before they did this the process took 5 hours which the keratin I wanted was only supposed to take 2 hours and revert back to your natural texture. Plus after you get this treatment done ✔️ your hair will smell like the chemical which smells bad for days. I would not recommend this treatment to anyone your natural hair is prettier yes curly hair takes time and maintenance but who wants pin straight hair like the little girl from the grudge crawling out of a well or would you rather have thick natural straight bouncy full hair yes hate this treatment terrible 😞 regret it so much.

      I completely agree bro like you have to live with it for so long until you grow and cut and it just sucks bc I know if I didn’t get it I’d be having long healthy curls but I’m stuck with limpy curls and my hair used to grow fast and now it takes foreverrr and it’s literally been like 4 years but I’m still suffering from the damage. Let’s not even forget how expensive it is like omggg

      I think you only disliked it cause 1, you didn't want it in the first place and 2, you had a bad experience. Everyone will feel different about this treatment lol. I personally love it and I'm gonna continue doing it until I'm tired of straight hair- it only sucks now that my hair grew out cuz now I'm dealing with my stupid curly hair again 🙄 it's so annoying-

      @@elleosman omg wow 4 years that’s crazy In October will make 2 years for me since I got the treatment & my hair is growing out I’m surprised my curls are even this curly because from what I hear it’s hard to get your natural texture back unless you completely shave your head and start over new but I’m blessed my curls are coming back! I legit had to trim my hair about 7 times this year and that’s only just getting rid of the straight chemical pieces but I notice once you trim it off little by little your hair starts to look fuller so the back of my hair is up to my collar bone but it’s all my natural curls no chemicals and my bangs I had to cut twice last year the first time it grew out the top was curly the bottom was straight so I cut off the bottom that had all the straight pieces and now my bangs are all curly and they grew back quick now it’s up to my bottom lip so I’m hoping by august it grows down to my chin I hate curtain bangs don’t get them but the middle and front of my hair still has more growing out to do so I know it’s going to take another 2 years but I am seeing the transition from my chemical to natural one thing I don’t recommend while growing out this treatment is getting your hair bleached or dyed unless it’s ammonia free just wait till your hair grows out completely use gummies and deep conditioning mask

      @@NeirinN well they shouldn’t Japanese straighten someone’s hair without telling them yes I didn’t want it was it easy to manage yes in the beginning not going to lie it was nice the hair was straight but that’s all it was STRAIGHT no body no volume limp as hell and looked like the little girl from the grudge my natural hair is beautiful and I regret doing it I literally had to trim my hair 7 times and I just recently decided to cut the back of my hair short so it’s up to my collar bone but it’s all curly which is nice so when it keeps growing I know that part is all natural and my curtain bangs I cut twice last year because it was curly on top and straight at the bottom so I cut the bottom of the bangs and now it’s all curly and it’s growing fast it’s up to my bottom lip I’m hoping by august it’s up to my chin I hate curtain bangs I regret getting them I can’t wait to be able to put my hair back in a pony tail without it sticking out. Im glad that some people have good experiences with it but for me it taught me to appreciate what I have I love my curly hair and I’m blessed that since the treatment has been growing out my curls are coming back surprised actually! I thought they wouldn’t look the same but my curls are growing out and when I blow out my hair now with my natural hair it’s more fuller and thicker and has body and volume which makes me more motivated to keep transitioning because when I blow my hair out and the part that still has the chemical in it and I see that part straight it’s just thin and flat it’s a reminder that the Japanese straightening isn’t the kind of straight hair I want it’s boring and limp I like my natural hair blown out like it’s pretty so it is annoying when I blow my hair out because half of my hair looks fuller on top and the middle and ends look thin but I’m patient and it’s a journey I’m going to embark on. I can only imagine if you let it grow out completely it would take much longer for you because you probably did the treatment more than once which isn’t good for your hair because when your curls do grow out they definitely won’t be the same but that isn’t true I saw one girl on RUclips she was crazy she got this done to her hair 5-6 times and now you should see how she transitioned to her natural hair soooo pretty it’s so long and healthy I’ve seen ppl grow it out and do a big chop and I plan on doing that

    Why not just get a regular relaxer?

    • @JoannaKimber
      @JoannaKimber 3 года назад +8

      So I’m planning to do this and I used to have relaxed hair (natural for 6 years now), the main difference is after you wash it it stays completely straight and you don’t have to style it. With relaxer, if you wash it and leave it the ends look trashy, if that makes sense.

    • @YTube900
      @YTube900 2 года назад +3

      Relaxers loosen or relax your hair at 13 alkaline and Japanese straightening removes the curls with less damage less than 9 alkaline. Healthier process overall for your hair and maintains most of the health if your hair is not bleached or already over processed.. Relaxers are extremely damaging and harsh and leave deposits that dull your hair. Way drier afterwards and wreak havoc on your hair regardless
