This is my favorite podcast right now! Thank you for being knowledgeable! I’m always so overwhelmed by all the different fitness information. You guys make it easy to understand so thank you!
I work at GoodLife and everyone there is fantastic at my location. Members and my coworkers began cutting. I *thought* yeah me too -- BIG mistake 😵💫 I'm 5ft 9in. 204lb. BF% ~ 23%. I bench 155lb, I conventional DL 315lb, and basically go heavy...I don't even have enough muscle on me to cut STILL. I haven't even trained longer than 4 months. These peeps here have been lifting for YEARZ 😑 I decreased my calories from 2200 to 1700... I binged, I literally had a mental shift. Biggest mistake I could have done. I realized just because others are in the phase it doesn't mean I need to🥺 I just want to continue to get strong 💪 and when the time is right I'll begin to cut.
Kandall.. last one I promise then I have to go to sleep 🤦🏻♀️ HMART.. get you some Daikon (yellow radish) and get some Chinese broccoli. (Gailan).. steam it.. then Toss it in a pan with garlic, chopped ginger and drizzle a little honey .. and weird but delicious.. roasted brown rice tea (unsweetened)
Mix Best foods light mayo with Sriracha and make a light spicy mayo. 35 cals per tablespoon. So tasty! I dunk my sweet potato waffle fries in it everyday before the gym. Thanks for all the great info!
I know this episode is a bit old but I find it so hard to pick the correct exercise level on these calculators to determine the maintenance calories. I’m 21, 5’7 and 132lbs. I walk for 1.5hrs everyday and lift weights for 30 mins 5 days a week. I never know whether to pick ‘light exercise’ or ‘moderate exercise’. And each calculator is a bit different with how they define exercise level
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you guys meant TDEE(total daily energy expenditure) to calculate your maintenance and not basal metabolic rate. Love you guys and love this podcast ❤️❤️
Both! BMR is how much you’re burning at rest and TDEE is the calories you burn during movement. BMR is more important for initial calculations then TDEE / exercises determine how much extra you can consume. Hope that makes sense we definitely could’ve and should’ve explained better haha
So pleased I found this podcast. I’m really trying body recomp and this channel is full of amazing information!
