    Good presentation ma'am. I am an HR manager. Please, to all those who are looking for a job, never tell us, you need this amount because your current salary is xxx. Tell us based on the job description and the challenges involved in it a salary of XXX would be good for me. I believe it's a standard amount for such a role and there is a lot I can do to take care of this position.

    Mam I have 14 years of experience. Before people used to ask specific profile for the job which I did not had experience. Over a period of time I took decision to learn other profiles to strengthen my CV and moved into 12 different profiles. Now people say we need person who has specific profile or my profile has continuous changes in profile.
    I understood one thing. If there is a requirement they will hire no matter whether candidate is good or not. If they have limited jobs then they will ask many things no matter even it's not related to profile they are hiring for.
    If they want everything to be in mind then why computers are invented and why internet is used?.
    It's human nature to forget information but that doesn't mean they are not capable. Some people won't speak much or don't have good communication but they are very intelligent.

    Correct way to mention expected but negotiable salary is 140% of current package.
    If there is work location constraint in the new job, another +30% of the "expected salary" may be demanded as an additional deputation component to it, making it 182% of the current package.
    And this is the starting figure - bargaining starts here.
    HR may end up giving base CTC at 120% to 130% of the current package.
    Regarding the additional +30% deputation amount, HR may agree on allowing it, for anywhere between the first fortnight to at most the first 6 months - depending on how difficult the project location is. IT projects are usually based out of major metropolitan cities - so yeah, any far beyond 6 month's deputation allowance is not so justified.

    Hello maam . I have come across a situation where negotiation of salary in percentage would have been very risky for me. As discussing the salary in percentage employer counts in CTC and in that there is a big catch of variable bonus component. Where your CTC sounds good but in hand salary would be very less as compared to CTC . Also in variable bonus part they cut 15 to 20 percent of bonus (e.g. 80 k is your bonus defined then you get anywhere between 60 to 65k bonus in hand). They cut this bonus saying it is variable as per company and individual performance. So that tend to lower the amount that you get then actually you get in offer letter.So in my opinion one should take (negotiate)in hand salary to the max . Obviously it can also be defined in percentages. Please give your suggestions here.

    All companies have predefined salary structure. They r very clever as employees keep jumping from one company to other for higher salaries. Having 3 to 4 offers is a rare phenomenon in today's world.

    every HR youtuber have their own opinion. Some says do not quote a fixed number, some says do not quote a range, some says do not give % directly quote for a number and negotiate for it.

  • @avinashshekhar6395
    @avinashshekhar6395 5 лет назад +2

    I think what you are telling mostly works with service based or freshers from my point of view(10-20% is just peanuts , why would you switch in that case even). If you want to get good hike nearly 40-60%(which is very much possible in product based MNC) , this will not work. If the employer has a good salary bracket and you are asking for very less, its a win win situation for employer only . Just like employee needs a good job with a good pay . Employer also needs good candidate, and after going through rounds of interview , which are designed by these companies only , asking for a well deserved hike is worthy . Handling that situation is important and if HR is continuously asing for a number you should give it. That way they know if they can meet your expectations or not.

    6 months of job hunting experience to present in Hyderabad. I have 7 years of working experience.
    They fake salaries by advertisement on job portal like 9 lakh per annum and they end up offering 4 lakhs per annu example company Sykes.
    Below companies just call for time pass (HRs should be busy, right) and have very poor recruitment process:
    -Diebold Nexdorf
    -GUS (Global University Systems)
    -Tech Mahindra
    -Dell
    -Almost all job consultancies, specially Hucon Solutions, Waterleaf consultacy.

    My question is for experienced person.
    can't we ask HR what you are going to offer before negotiating from our side? What will happen of we do this.

  • @SS-gv7gs
    @SS-gv7gs 5 лет назад +1

    Good initiative. but you mentioned whatever we do we shouldn't miss the offer.. then what's the need of negotiation? also you mentioned we shouldn't quote higher salary if so definitely you won't get that offer... how you are saying this? negotiation means both side discuss and come to an agreement. is it not the employer nervousness get that candidate to the company?

    For experience people there is a big catch between take home salary and CTC
    So better quote a amount as your take home salary not a percentage hike you want in your CTC as CTC consists your variable pay
