Hi Alberto, Thankfully, I didn’t notice any mismatch between the LCR and the other channels. I guess the Emotiva is very neutral so doesn’t colour the LCR.

Nice. Since you are running pre-outs to the two fronts what's the benefit of plugging the center into a3 instead of leaving it plugged in the Avr cause the center doesn't have a pre-out option.
Hi Zelko, Thanks for your feedback. The Marantz has pre-outs for all channels of the AVR, so, around 7:03 in the video, you’ll see the phonos plugged into Front L, Front R, Centre. Although the amp assign feature of the Marantz only shows Pre-outs for Front L&R, the other pre-outs are actually active anyway. In the scenario, I am now solely powering the Front L, C and R via the Emotiva. :-)

Good vid, helped me make my mind up to get an A3 😎 just wondering, does your A3 ever even get warm? 😄 I’m driving some relatively easy to drive Q Acoustics from mine and mine literally feels stone cold all the time, huge difference to the Denon. Makes me wonder what you have to do to get the fans in these BasX u it’s to kick in 😄

Hi Victor, It’s quite simple to connect to an AVR, as I go through a little in the video. However, it’s worth re-calibrating your system once it’s plugged in. I also had to change the configuration of my AVR channel assignment which you might also have to do.
Thanks for the video Everyone mostly talks about adding amps to extend units capabilities to 11 channels+ but I have a different goal I simply want to stick to 5.1.2 channels but replace LCR with A3 I have no idea what or how to set the amp assign accordingly to use pre out. Can you help please
Hi Paul, You might not need to play with the amp assign if you’re not upping your channel count. As the pre-outs are usually active on many AVRs, it might simply be a case of connecting the RCAs from the AVR pre outs to your 3 channel amp.
@@paulhenry4550 certainly give it a go. My Marantz was quite easy to configure for the additional channels. Hopefully yours will also be nice and simple. :-)
@@cableguydan No worries. Real heavy duty pro gear often puts rear facing spacers or backwards rack ears at the rear to protect people from themselves :). Alas none of that here!
Hello I got the basx a3 and I'm going to get 2 other basx A2S can I use the a3 to power the back surround channels and center channel and use the 2 basx a2s for the front channels and the surround channels,I'm thinking to do this because the back surround are small b&w M1s,the others speakers I have are 4 towers and the main fronts are one of those speakers hard to drive
Hi Glen, Hypothetically, what you’re suggesting is possible, I believe. It’s personal preference, but, I’d rather power the LCR with one amp, as the A3 would then offer equal power and performance to each of your front 3 speakers. As long as your crossover is set to protect your M1s in the surround back position, they would be fine running from an A4. But, as I say, your config sounds like it would also work. :-)
@@cableguydan ok thanks I'm doing this just so the front channels get more power scene they so hard to drive,and the Bach are small satellites I hate such speakers but because is my bedroom the smaller the better so they be behind me and I'm leaving the Denon avc x4700h to handle front highest and middle or back sealing channels you see I can't make holes in my sealing so I got the M1 because there mounts allow for firing down and is the only configuration I can make to get all 3 Atmos dtsx and Auro 3d thanks again
