    My son got a new kitchen fitted 4 years ago with built in washing machine etc,just recently the washing machine was tripping the rcbo,the engineer came out and fitted a new pcb in the machine and it still kept tripping,it turned out the kitchen fitter had not properly tightened up the terminals in the socket and they had been arcing for ages and eventually started burning,he said I thought I could smell fish for a while now dad 🙈, enjoyed the video Sean but I enjoy all of your content

    Short videos of everyday work are good, if footage is presented correctly it will always help someone and they will be grateful.
    If possible I would include some detail on the circuits and how they are configured, maybe a diagram.
    I wouldn’t be apologetic for using certain brands, no real evidence of such brands causing any bigger issues than the more expensive brands.
    Really admire the work and effort you youtuber guys put into producing videos, shows the real frontline when told as it is in the real world.

    • @Cablesmith
      @Cablesmith  Год назад +2

      I need to keep this on board because a lot of the time I just don’t show things simply because I think it’s easy or common knowledge, unconsciously, I wouldn’t even think about explaining certain things because of that if that makes sense. I need to assume the viewers are learners instead of assuming they already know certain things.

    Yeah, I've fitted those LAP downlights in the past, and did the same as you to keep continuity of the CPC. Technically non-compliant to do it that way, I believe (something to do with size of unprotected protective conductors being minimum 4mm2), but it's the only sensible way of doing it IMO.
    Prefer shorter vids personally, some of the youtube spark vids are a bit too bloody long IMO.
