Probably the neatest board I've ever seen, what a cracking job, really enjoy your videos,I'm not a spark I'm a retired Motor Engineer and Auto Electrician but I really appreciate professional workmanship, looking forward to more of your content 👏
To borrow a phrase from Nick Bundy. You good job mate. Can't believe it's the same place. Cracking transformation. 👌 Also I paused the champions League final to watch this vid. That shows how good your work and upload are. Keep em coming
What a transformation, you've added value to their property with the work you've done there. The next electrician to work on it or do an EICR will thank you. Those knipex flex strippers are well worth the investment, great little piece of kit, mine has its own place in the tool bag. Great well presented videos. Keep up the good work. Stay safe guys, Pete 👍
Quality work there mate, big job and the ply looks Bob on if you ask me. Seen these photos floating around Facebook looks impressive the transformation. Only pub I’ve been round there is the boathouse and it’s defo not this pub!
Your getting good at them consumer units m8. When you first go to look at those type of jobs the first thing that goes through your head is where the fuxk do I even start. But then you pull on your big boys pants and get it sorted. Nice one
You've gone above and beyond the call of duty on that install mate.....great neat work.....👍 I hope your going to get a few 🍺🍺🍺 on the house for your effort.......👍 Cheers
Nice job mate looks superb, I did a gig in a pub on the first day they opened, horrendous electrics. One single socket in the whole place had to hang all our gear off that. The install was that old there were still BS 546 sockets hanging about the place. Twin and earth tapped off running everywhere proper bodge. Dread to see the state of the CU!
Fair play to that lad, honesty is the best policy ! Good job, might have been nice to use a proper push on bush on the FP, looks more professional than a bit of white tape, however us Building Services Engineers think we know everything as we have to be Gas Safe, Air Con, as well as the 18th. Edition , you young sparks have such an easy life 😂😂😂. Seriously though you always do a decent job overall , PS, I started in the trade when I was 15, I had my 82nd birthday last week ☘️🇮🇪☘️
I’ll be honest I’ve never seen a bush for FP before but will find them now. By the sounds of it you’ve got a little more experience under your belt than I have 😃 happy belated birthday mate
Ok, so I’ve not been subscribed for very long, but if that’s your idea of a ‘not the tidiest of boards’ board, then I gotta see the ones that your more than happy with. The only big RUclips electricians who do boards to similar neatness are Nick Bundy and his apprentice Adam, and Jordan & Corey from Artisan. Dan from DSS may do them fairly neat but cannot remember for sure. I can imagine that job really tested your patience!
Haha I’ll take that as a bug compliment, but don’t get me wrong, I may have worded it a bit wrong. I think I’m rather neat with them, but I get them done quick and don’t really take my time hugely on them. I’ve seen electricians have a laser level run through so all the cables line up perfectly !! That’s what I meant by I’m not that over the top 😂 as long as I’d be happy to find my own work on an EICR, then I’m happy with it
Quality job mate, really tidy and looks 💯 times better! Don’t think the ply is oversized think it doesn’t an excellent job! The next guy who comes to work on that will thank you for sure mate 👏🏻

Great video. Definitely a massive improvement! On fire alarms (for reference) if you make sure it's on its own dedicated supply and the local isolation can't be operated via a butter knife 👍. Make sure it's a tamper proof keyswitched type marked fire alarm
@@Cablesmith if your looking at the fire alarm regulations BS5839-1 then if it's a new or altered installation then it's recommended to be changed. It's one of those things it's upto the customer. If you replaced the fire panel then it would need to be..... Still great content though and this is definitely not a criticism.
Definitely fantastically neat board - nearly as good as mine 🤦🏾🤣Did it have outside pub garden lighting that’s an area which has serious risk around it and subject to damage with traffic and potential loss of earth continuity which we saw in recent David Savary post can be a death trap. Pubs are an installation where I think at a minimum 1-year EICR should be a requirement - massively high traffic areas where risk of damage to installations is very high. With a regularly tested installation the repeat EICR work could be faster and cheaper at least if things have not changed much.
One day Math, I’ll be on your level of neatness 👌🏼 this pub does have outdoor lighting, however they are only floodlights high level and has nothing within reach of anybody. It also has no sockets the general public can access, other than behind the fruit machines, and the Spurs for hand dryers. It’s actually very public(drunk) 😃 friendly but as always, all installations have some risk if they go unmaintained. I’m going to be keeping on top of this particular pub for the foreseeable future anyway, so naturally it will be the best maintained pub on the planet 👊🏼😂
Looks good fella. Public stuff is a pina, bodge on bodge on bodge. They will be having loads of meetings now everything is opening up. Hopefully to make working less shite than before lockdown.
That is one quality job, the board looks to slick & clean plus you are getting full use out of that label maker I see 😁 love it. Amazing work as always & thank you for sharing!
it seems the same in all commercial premises that the so called tradesman does not respect the owners environment and says its only commercial and proceeds to do a very less professional job and a messy looking job ,that they would have charged a good premium for . i have left 2 jobs that niceic electricians have left in a dangerous state as i said to the customer it would cost you more for me to check everything and put it right than you would be willing to pay given that you took every low quote . one job niceic had to force the electrician to return and remedy the work !!. you have done a excellent job and i bet at a good price to the customer that will be easy for any future electrician to find a fault within 20 minutes .

That job started out as a right shit show. You did a brilliant job cleaning out that fekin mess. You should keep photos of before and after to show prospective clients. Good on you for a job above and beyond well done.
This was the question I was expecting first too ! 😃 It was in fact a Schneider RCBO board and type A RCBO’s so fully up to date. It was just in such a mess, there was holes all over it, all the earth fly leads were cut to length that only just reached, I’ve used one of them boards before and found they have barely any space anyway. And Being a commercial premises the requirement for surge protection. I just went for the easiest option to just swap it 😃 The key switch however only had one hole in the side so I just bunged that up and reused. Well spotted tho, it would have been a perfectly good board otherwise
The "fans" you refer to - are they actually the air conditioning evaporators to keep the cellar nice and cool? If so, why would you WANT to turn them off overnight? Seems like you'd want them running at all times to keep everything nice and cool.
Yep they are air conditioning units really. I just called and labelled them fans as that’s what the owner referred to them as and I always try and label things up with what they know. As for turning them off, 🤷🏻♂️ no idea tbh, it’s not my game. I just did as requested really 😃
I will add that the cellar was bloody freezing anyway without them on for the last 12 months 😂 and all the beer runs through a (don’t quote me on this) “nitrogen” cooler when it comes through the lines to the taps also. Not sure if he said nitrogen but it was something like that
