I think it would have been cool if they designed the figure where he had a glow in the dark skeletal frame that was encased in a clear outer shell. Like those toy anatomy models.
That would be cool, but very expensive. The Four Horsemen were considering this approach when they worked on sculpting the MOTU figures, and they said it was possible, but difficult to make with all the articulation.

You want to get the Blight figure from the Batman Beyond toy line. That figure is clear with an internal Glow skeleton.

Why?? He has ALWAYS been a VERY hard character to acquire so WHY make him hard to acquire again? I am anything but excited.

I'm pretty sure he's getting a regular release in a later wave. It was listed on a toy news website.

Well if SDCC was in person unless you were going you still wouldn't have gotten him. A lot of the exclusives coming out during Covid were made to sell at the Cons. The worst thing about Covid for collectors who don't go to Cons is they've discovered toys just made for Cons exist and they're mad about it but if Covid never happened they wouldn't even know about them. I don't go to SDCC so I ordered one and glad I was able to grab it. I do go to Power Con.
it's an exclusive SDCC version, but there's going to be a regular version in the stores allready leaked like the rest of the revelations characters coming this year.
what we don't know is what are they going to differ, appart of the packaging
I can just see 20 years down the line the issue in collecting this being "does yours still have the original tag?" because so many will have cut that off.
Just going off of how Mattel chose to package it, I’m pretty sure the glow feature is meant to be seen under a black light. Kinda weird Dan didn’t throw him under one just to check it out.

When i saw this I was like I need that, then I realized I’m in Bangkok. He-man figures are as rare as dodo birds here, I’m lucky to have small collection and lucky enough the revelations first wave. I love moss man, this however is like crazyyyyyyy

If you watch the episode in Revelation where Scareglow appears you will understand why only the head gloves. When in Subternia he appears from the dark and at the beginning only his head is visible.

I like the design changes, especially after watching the show. Makes him a more shadowy, mysterious threat rather than a neato gee whiz glowing skeleton.
Man, one of the best parts of the shell... Kind of. Very strong mysterious interesting. Then Tela kicks his but easily, then Oracle takes him out easily. Ugh, don't get me going on the show right now
This line is turning into the line of Misfit toys! An unlocked Moss Man, a Scare Glow that doesn't glow... why work so hard on the packaging (with flashing lights even!) and skimp on the glowing paint?
Reflects the cartoon. Masters of the Universe without He-man or Skeletor.

@@user-do2ev2hr7h I enjoyed it more than I expected but I think going into it knowing it was going to be the Teela show helped cushion the blow so i could get past that and focus on the other stuff. I still felt it was wasted potential though.
they seriously dropped the ball on this. One of the most popular fan-favourite characters and they didn't make his key feature (glow in the dark body) a part of the design? terrible
For me is the Best desing so far of this character, can't wait to receive him, and if the difference is enought with the regular version i'm going to buy it too.
The glow in the dark gimmick is really cool. I'm glad they included. I can imagine way later figures with the tags not cut off will cost more on the after market.

Maybe it doesn't glow, but I'm curious what it looks like under ultraviolet / blacklight.
I was thinking the same thing. I don't have a black light display, but I do have a black flashlight.

It is the third figure to reuse the same exact body, as it always is with Masters of the Universe, you don't need to go through the articulation every single time.

My guess is that this will come in full glow in the dark plastic, non wired cape, without those big halff swords in retail release with standard packing.

@PixelDan where can I go to find out about these types of collector figures long before they go on sale. I missed Skeleglow because by the time I saw your video, it was sold out.
The glow might be limited to the standard release probably also won't have the wired cape or the sword which I expect to come with roboto without glow feature

I was presold with the neon day glow green but I kinda wish all of him glowed, I might go in and paint over the bones with glow paint

Hi everyone. I’ve been collecting the WWE/MOTU crossover figures and I was wondering if anyone knows which figure matches Triple H (in purple pants) in skin color. I’ve never liked closed fists on figures, and I wanted to switch it out. Any help would be great.
A few months later, we get confirmation that a retail release of Masterverse ScareGlow is indeed coming, minus that sword. But who knows? With Barbarossa Customs a thing, we might get an alternative way of getting that glow in the dark sword.
Too bad only the head glows though. It would have looked awesome with all that glow in the dark paint. Mine arrives today.
So the sample will not have the full body glow feature?

So when I was getting one today the description for him says he has a "glow in dark skeleton and head."
So maybe these samples don't have the glowing paint for the bones but the later ones will?
I'd hope that's the case, because just the head glowing is pretty lame.

Dan, I think the idea is that this version of Scareglow will glow under a black light. Try using a black light on his neon green paint and see what happens.
I managed to get one, but I hope they do a mass market version in a fully glow-in-the-dark plastic body for anyone who wasn't able to get this glowing head version.

Seems like they were (mostly) trying to avoid pre-release spoilers in the figures released so far. Now that the show is out, I'm looking forward to figures in their "future" designs.
That packaging is absolutely gorgeous
Swapping the head with the Origins figure made me think of that scene in the Beetlejuice movie where the witch doctor shrunk BeetleJuice's head in the waiting room, after he switched tickets with him.

Do we know if they will release Revelations Scareglow for commercial sale without the fancy box, or was this the one and only Revelations Scareglow?
There will be a regular release and 'word on the street' is that it *will* be glow-in-the-dark, just no fancy packaging.
Let's hope that the difference is not so extreme like between the two Origin She-Ras. The Retail She-Ra with plastic hair and the Power-Con exclusive with Barbie pubic hair!^^

Drool! I hope that Mattel Creations has a big enough product run to meet the demand for this He-Man: Revelation Scare Glow. (Added) Now that the initial tooling is done for He-Man: Revelation Scare Glow...I wouldn't be surprised if Mattel has planned an Halloween edition that a full glow-in-the-dark body. Would Mattel do that? You bet they will, because Mattel is trying to cash in on their MOTU license as much as possible for 2021 and 2022. (Side note: As always, most major toy companies typically first put out an action figure that's close to what we actually want. And then, later on for a repaint or with minor retooling, put out the action figure that we actually want.)
What a beauty
So I had it in my cart, but by the time I got to the payment screen it was sold out. I literally put it in the cart at 9:00 am, the system made me wait till 9:04 am, and it was gone.
Not unexpected as this tends to happen with these things but I really wish they would just produce more so at least a few more people might get them.

Same. From the sounds of the cartoon it'll be awful so I have little interest in these figures.
@@darkwoods1954 my friends and I were talking about it and guessed the series will be mostly Teela will be the main character. After losing Castle Greyskull to Skeletor, Adam went into hiding on a secluded island. Teela will find him and try to give him back the Sword of Power. But he will just toss it over his shoulder and tell her to "go away".
Obvious Star Wars reference is obvious.

I got Skelegod. The only other figures I'd probably get are Battle Cat and Panthor if he is ever released because they'd be cheaper than the MOTUC versions. Idk...I love He-Man, but I think I'll stick to MOTUC and just wait until I bring home 5 figures a month (airline pilots make bank) so I can bring home 1 hard to find Classics figure home a month. I have most of the classics figures I wanted, but I still need a few hard to find/early release/expensive figs like the Scareglow figure.

It's not saying much, but that is easily the best figure from the line so far. It's a shame they didn't go to the same lengths to make the rest of them look this good.
I’m surprised Origins Scareglow wasn’t an exclusive. Mattel really dropped the ball on that one. I do like how this version has the impression of it actually glowing with the bright green paint without having to put it in the dark.
I'm kind of with you. Although it should be glow-in-the-dark, I actually understand and like the appearance of it.. So you don't have to put it under the light. He could have been the best thing out of that recent show, his introduction, the coolness at first. Until he bent over and was taken out quickly by Tila and Oracle. Kind of sad
