I wouldn't exactly call He-Man "stoic", especially not the 80's version. And in the old show He-Man was always smiling, chucking, and delivering witty one-liners. In general he seemed to be a pretty chill guy so I'd say a more jovial head sculpt is as good a fit as any.

Right, I’ve had this figure for two weeks now and it’s pretty good, I like him! Yes he’s not the traditional bulky He-Man we’re used to but he’s good! Lots of good poses and solid all round
Sure, the Super7 Classic He-Man remains unbeatable, but I really like the new design, including the new younger face sculpt. The only thing I don't like is the color scheme and the way too yellow skin tone.
Awesome review as always! I know some people aren't super into the designs of these figures, but I think the steps forward Mattel has made with this line in terms of articulation (pinless bodies!) double joints!) are really awesome. I have no doubt we will be getting Masterverse figures that go outside the animated series look, and I have high hopes for those, especially if they continue this level of articulation.
This line is dead on arrival. You can’t screw up this badly and hope to continue. This line is f’ed. Serves them right for emasculating He-Man like this.
Just got mine yesterday. Glad to have a 7 inch he man. The face is a bit small etc. but I can manipulate it when snapping pics. And they scale well and hell I’m just glad to have a He man at a reasonable price 😆
As a miniature painter myself, i can't help but think the colours on this model are dull and flat. As with all toys though, but I've recently seen some painted He-Man miniatures which just put crap to this to maximum shame.
I wish they re release 2002 version, this one is kinda close. His sword design looked cool, used to watch the cartoons when cartoon network used to televise it.
The problem is Mattel gave him the same upper torso as Skeletor instead of a new one because they are lazy. If they had just made it a bit bulkier his proportions would be fine. As far as the head sculpt I think the problem is the hair. I also agree that the harness is small too. Either way I'll be happy to have him along with Battle Cat.
Worst He-Man figure since the new adventures He-Man. His proportions are off, pair-shaped, he doesn't look bulky enough, especially because his upper torso is too slender. His face looks child-like. His harness is too small and sits too high on his upper body. Arms, legs, sword, and shield are fine.
The ratio of publicized hate towards the show and figures to the lack of Revelations Masterverse stock on Wal-Mart shelves and their website is crazy disproportionate.
This figure is just plain awful. Absolutely trash head sculpt, bizarre body proportions, weak colors, etc. etc. Your side by side comparison is possibly more honest than the review intended - it severely spotlighted just how poor this figure is.
Mattel doesn't expect to sell gangbusters with this Netflix show, because a. Netflix came out saying is a Teela show. and b. Mattel ordered another show, a CGI one because they were not happy with the Kevin Smith one.
@@Jucelegario First off, no kid will buy the toys because they are impossible to find, and never advertised. Secondly, I'm pretty sure Mattel can't respond to criticism so what makes you think they know Kevin "his adress is 7203 La Presa Dr, Los Angeles, CA" Smith's turd of a show is bad

It's a real shame he doesnt come with an axe. I almost never pose a heman with his power sword in hand, because I just love how heman always looks with his axe. To me, that's his main weapon.
I wish they'd make the classic/funimation He-Man with the new articulation system. Or just give Bandai Figuarts the right to make He-Man toys for superior articulation and sculpt.
Honestly... I just want another shot at the OG Filmation accurate versions. (Super7 I think are my favorite and I'm kicking myself for not jumping on them)
I don't know what it is with this figure, but it looks utterly terrible in pictures and videos. In hand though it looks fantastic. I was really impressed by how good the figure looks in hand. All of the Revelation figures actually suffer from this phenomenon to some extent, but He-Man the most.
it's weird seeing him by himself and the thumbnail he looks so awesome but after comparing him next to the classics he does look bad...not just kinda off but actually bad. comparison time dealt a deathblow this time.
Wow, I can’t wait to get this figure. He looks awesome and I’m so happy to have a highly articulate figure with pin-less joints. I’m sure we’ll get another He-man eventually in this line with an alternate angrier head sculpt.
Heeeey, the new He-man revelation head on the Origins body looks Really cool!!!! 😲😲 You see, second only to the classics line, the origins line is just perfect!
CURSES!!!!! Here I am barely able to collect ML, SW black series, and GI Joe classified, and now you gotta tempt me (very convincingly) that I should at least get he-man and skeletor?! Awesome review as always. So excited to see the new show!!!
I recently bought He-Man and Skeletor from this line. I was so excited to be buying MOTU figures again (my favorite toys in the 80s). I was disappointed. The added articulation is pretty good but the sculpt detail and build materials do not seem worth $23.
Pixel Dan The harness is a little smaller so that it doesn't impede the articulation with the upper torso ball joint. If it draped down to the abdomen, it would most likely cause issues with posing. I think the new body design is definitely an improvement over the older styles. It's more barbarian as opposed to steroid bodybuilder. Still very yoked but not juiced to the gills. The head is a little small and could look way harder, and hopefully we will get a subsequent battle armor release that improves on it. As of now, I think it's a logical, modern looking He-Man.
Cudos to Mattel for doing a highly articulated figure. But the design overall is a fail for me..nothing about it works. Color, face sculpt, proportions, it's just ugh. Too bad, but luckily we have Origins.
His face looks inspired from the 200x series. I don't like the way he's jointed at the waist/chest, I get it's for better articulation but it just looks dumb.
Ironically, this figure's proportions are closer to realistic human proportions. Specifically the "8 heads" height used in drawing characters of "heroic" physique. The vintage line was cartoonishly exaggerated, whereas Classics was more realistic but still bulkier than the standard "heroic" type used in comics and illustration. This new Revelations physique appears to be halfway between those extremes.
I like the look of this line . . And honestly Mattel has done quite well with the articulation on this new line so far. Can't wait to see more characters revealed!

The '16 and '17 Classics He-Man series nailed it, proportionally ( esthetically ), as far as I am concerned. This new iteration is not awful but not the best. And why is He-Man so "gangly" ( lanky ) looking now? He looks more like the Beastmaster - or some surfer-dude - than Arnold's Conan! One good point: I like the double-jointed elbows and knee-caps, though.
Mattel stepped it up for this line in my opinion because the best stuff they have right well articulated and etc, is now on this toy line would have been dope 6 in to fit with other lines of toys I have but just happy to have something like these coming out.

Got my new Revelation HeMan today at Walmart This morning l happy love Dwight 👍
this is the best review of this figure so far, well done Dan!
I just received mine (Oct 21) here in Australia and the skin is not shiny at all like the one you showed. The face looks way better as well but maybe is just the effect of the camera.
*cant wait to receive man at arms, trap jaw, triklops, fisto, stinkor & battlecat🙌
Here’s just something really weird about his torso. It’s too long and it doesn’t taper toward his waist. Makes him look really strange.
@@namehereandthereand here we are years later and it’s still goin and it’s gotten better than where it began
The box art work is the best thing here
Clásics is the Best line of he - man , You can feel the power of grayskul , we need more clásics mattel
Easy pass for me. They have an Inhumanoids figure style with that body shape.
He man has the body of a transgender model
Then it will be huge with the new generations then
Easy pick up for me. They have an amazing figure style with that body shape.
All of you are right, huge let down. 2016 & 2017 figures are most realistic
All of you are wrong big pick me up… 2020 and 2021 have the most realistic figures
I really hope they redo 2002 he man with current articulations. It was an amazing show and it sad that theres no season 3
Iron Cross removed. The H is for his callourd tunic. They switched them. Breast plate always had the Iron Cross.
@@wesleywarsmith1113 not politically correct, apparently. It may "offend" someone.😑
@@CiskyFCC nobody cares.
at least New adventures made up for it with the Thunderpunch figure
@@masterfarr8265 Supposedly, Mattel allowed Netflix to do what they wanted with the Kevin Smith show and it was originally going to be the only show but then they got word it was about Teela, wahmen, gays and Floyds but couldn't stop production, the solution, another show! Another show to actually sell toys.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation's He-Man is... weird. 😖
I'm gonna pass on this series of MOTU figures and stick with Origins. 😁
Same here.
I'm happy with Classics line
I Love this design!
Who can blame you?
I really like this new He-Man design!
That's the weirdest looking He-Man figure.
By far
Kevin Smith : Hmm that's a weird looking Teela Figure
@customvideo454 Aren't you angry.
@@goober7959 the new trailer actually makes me despise this entire series.
@@masterfarr8265 Why despise something that has yet to come out? But I will say this it's at least an honest trailer on what the show will look like same with the first trailer because that could possibly be a flashback sequence or the beginning of the show. This isn't meant to come off as rude I'm just letting you and others know that this really isn't something to get upset over. Yeah, people will be disappointed but, behaving as if it's the end of the world is taking it to far.
@@goober7959 I didn't say it was the end of the world, I just said I'm not gonna be giving mattel any of my money for lying to us all
The figure is awesome, however only thing disappoint me is there's no battle axe.... I love to have he-man with both the sword of power and the battle axe with a shield.....
It's a real shame he doesnt come with an axe. I almost never pose a heman with his power sword in hand, because I just love how heman always looks with his axe. To me, that's his main weapon.
To be fair he is a barbarian and an axe fits that more than a sword.
Well it was his main weapon in the first few comics that was released 👍
I still think Battle Cat is the best figure in this collection!
I wish they'd make the classic/funimation He-Man with the new articulation system. Or just give Bandai Figuarts the right to make He-Man toys for superior articulation and sculpt.
I wonder how the chest armor, bracelets and loin cloth of the Revelation He-man would look like in an origins figure.
I think that HE-MAN classic is the best figure , looks great¡
Honestly... I just want another shot at the OG Filmation accurate versions.
(Super7 I think are my favorite and I'm kicking myself for not jumping on them)
Mattel's in house sculptors are so inconsistent get the horsemen back on motu for all of it.
I don't know what it is with this figure, but it looks utterly terrible in pictures and videos.
In hand though it looks fantastic. I was really impressed by how good the figure looks in hand. All of the Revelation figures actually suffer from this phenomenon to some extent, but He-Man the most.
Maybe bad lighting? 😄
it's weird seeing him by himself and the thumbnail he looks so awesome but after comparing him next to the classics he does look bad...not just kinda off but actually bad. comparison time dealt a deathblow this time.
Wow, I can’t wait to get this figure. He looks awesome and I’m so happy to have a highly articulate figure with pin-less joints. I’m sure we’ll get another He-man eventually in this line with an alternate angrier head sculpt.
Great video. Pass on the figure.
Heeeey, the new He-man revelation head on the Origins body looks Really cool!!!! 😲😲
You see, second only to the classics line, the origins line is just perfect!
For those exagerated proportion it was a huge success
I like the look of this line . . And honestly Mattel has done quite well with the articulation on this new line so far. Can't wait to see more characters revealed!
Hey Dan, I have a few questions.
1. Have you gotten anymore Neca Tmnt figures to review?
2. Do you know the release date of the new Barnyard Commandos figures?
3. If you were to make a new Food Fighter, what food would it be?
Excellent on my opinion! Nothing bother me on this guy... 😃🏆🤙🏼
🤔 Not a fan of Surfer He-Man so far.
Don't bother covering these in your next book. We all want to forget them.
I just got 1 he-man like this can you please help me how you change the belt or armor i want to put the Old One can you show a video how you change it pls?
This would make a nice repaint into Conan too. Gotta get 2!
I cant wait to get mine. He didn't look to stylized to me, in fact I think he looks a little smaller than in the show. I do think he looks like either a younger he man or prince Adam hahaha
Loin cloth makes him look like his pants were ripped and he’s homeless he-man now…something is really off with these figures, thank you Mattel for classics atleast!
Great job Dan
Ok, lets say articulations are ok. But they should do a better job on the armor so it could cover the torso articulation. 2017 still my favorite line.
the figure looks way better in person.
