I prefer this detailed sculpt as a collectors' edition to the Classics one. And the head is just so expressive. Masterverse has been a pretty neat line so far.
Just piced him up in a local store (rare find in this country) Joints are super tight. What is a bummer is, feet does not have pivot, so the amount of stances is really limited. But for the price - these figures are really cool (they cost less then origins which is crazy)
Such a great looking figure. Some issues with QC aside, I really like this line and think it's pretty underrated. I put off buying them for ages due to some less than stellar reviews, but was totally won over when I saw them in-person.
That's awesome. I've had many people say similar to me at the last few conventions I've visited. I'm always happy when the franchise that I love it hitting new audiences and bringing them in. :-)
Another great review Dan. My Revelation Stinkor does have some loose joints but not as bad as how yours looks. I do think it must be an issue with this figure and the molds specific to him. Otherwise I really like his look and the extras. I'm ok without the added smell, but if he had it I would be fine with that as long as it didn't smell up my display room!
Ol'Jack Burton says i ordered this stinkor yesterday after watching this video as i missed out on the classics stinkor and can't wait for this guy to go with my skeletor and SDCC scare glow on my shelf. So thanks Dan great vid as usual yes sir great video.
My Origins Stinkor has the exact same issue with the boot, and I had a Mer-Man go through my hands with the same issue as well, where it rotates almost completely free, like there's barely any friction at all.
The loose joints are disappointing, but also seem sporadic. I think a good chunk of my Masterverse figures all have at least one loose joint somewhere, but it's never the same one.
Do you think he would fit in well with Super7 filmation figs?.. I want to add a Stinkor to that collection, also is it true there are rumors of future filmation figures coming?
He doesn’t have to smell, it was ok when we were 5 years old but as adults I don’t mind my figures not having the same gimmicks they used to have. I didn’t even clock on that he wasn’t smelling, I just loved the sculpt :)
@@sunnyshine2215 yeah, to me , he does have to. It’s what gives something extra to his character. The Masterverse line just keeps being a disappointment . The sculpts are weak and Stinkor and a couple others have been the bright spots in a otherwise weak line.
@@Pixel-dan Yeah, it’s a temporary solution at best. Funny enough, I attended the Central Florida Comic-Con this past Saturday and found an incomplete vintage Stinkor figure (no armor or shield accessory). He still smells exactly the same as I remember, and the figure was produced over 35 years ago! No real practical way to replicate that!
I like MOTUC more but this Stinkor looks good. The removeable Gasmask is a Master peace. The double Joints are too much, the Upper body twist is not my thing. Most important nice to see a Masters Video of you that is what i have missed ^___^
Man you sound like a hater on this one should’ve known from the start of the video don’t sound like that ole Dan that was just happy to be reviewing motu
Stinkor was always my most hated MotU figure because I always thought he's a shameless repaint with no original parts and a disgusting action feature based on a very questionable sense of humor. But dispite my conviction that Revelation is the worst that ever happened to MotU, this is in my opinion the best version of Stinkor so far. Because he doesn't stink.
Where's the staction Stinkor Dan lol?? I like this guy, Fisto, Savage He-Man/Orko, and Scareglow. That's it lol. And I probably won't even buy them because I just don't like Revelations as a whole.
I always debate on if I should include the staction or not. Honestly, that probably would've been a good comparison since they are so similar in design.
@@Rocket1377 Ehhhh, I don't know if I want oil all over my figure. With origins, it was nice because you could disassemble the figure and stuff the cotton inside the torso. This guy, not so much.
Dan you are really sounding alot like the" The old ones are better, stop trying to make new ones." Guy. Classics were great for what they were. They were never meant to be played with. They were basically action statues, that were priced above what most people could pay. This line fills that hole at a price people can afford. Just because they are exact reproductions, doesn't make them bad.
So many MOTU fans complaining about these figures. We finally get loads of new MOTU toys in stores but it's still not good enough it seems. It was the same when Classics were out. Never ending complaining from the fans about the figures not being good enough.
I have to agree kind of, I mean I love classics, but they were expensive and not very poseable, they look great in a display, however that doesn’t mean Mattel should not try to release newer versions of these characters. I mean they’re not perfect but Mattel is improving wave by wave. I collect a lot of Marvel Legends and SW Blank series and I’m so glad we have highly articulated figures for a change which aren’t 100% copies of the vintage. I’m so glad that Moss Man doesn’t have flock, Stinkor doesn’t stink and Fisto doesn’t have a spring loaded arm.
I know I sound like this to some. But I'm also not going to pretend like I like something better than I do. I don't dislike Masterverse, but it's certainly not my favorite of the lines. I also know that some people care more about articulation that I do, so this line is giving them something new for MOTU. And in no way am I upset that there is so much to choose form right now. Origins is definitely more my jam, but that's because the vintage line is my absolute favorite and the one I still consider the best, and I love how Origins hits those notes. I'm glad Masterverse exists, and I'm glad people like it. And none of my issues have anything to do with them not being exact reproductions of Classics. I am glad you and others like these. The more people care about MOTU, the more stuff we'll keep getting. I hope these keep selling and people keep enjoying them. But I'm not going to pretend I like any of them more than I actually do just because other people like them more than me. I'm sorry.
I totally agree! No stink, no buy! That was his entire gimmick, just like Moss Man’s gimmick was pine-scented flocking. There’s really no point otherwise. Even Classics got it right with Stinkor and Moss Man.
I know I probably sound like a lunatic to some people, but with a line like MOTU some of these gimmicks are so engrained into who these characters are that I get instantly disappointed when their character trait is missing. I also know not everyone agrees with me, and that's perfectly ok! :-)
@@Pixel-dan Totally understand! Without the smell that made the figure unique, he kind of just becomes another action figure. Sometimes, it’s about more than just having a different character design. Part of the appeal of MotU, for me at least, was the attempt to give each figure their own unique “feature.” Well, maybe not so much at the very beginning, but in later waves of the vintage line anyway.
One of the better redesigns of revalations imo.
I just picked him up at my local Target and there are some loose joints, that aside he's pretty cool

If Mattel hasn't taken care of the quality of the Revelations figures by NOW, they are not going to fix them. A LOT of the Revelations are like that.

Speaking of revelations, when will it be available on Blu-Ray?
The fact doesn't smell is pretty much a deal breaker. My classics still has a faint whiff.
Sculpt wise though its pretty cool looseness aside.
They sell patchouli in spray bottles. If you got some, you'd have to give Stinkor a spritz or two from time to time, but it would do the trick.

Awesome!
For I minute there I thought you wasn’t going to bring up the smell😂👍🏼
I like this figure better than the classics. Is bigger.
I really love his design, surprisingly.
One question. I know these figures are at the 7 inch scale. But are they all proper scale or are they all re-scaled to 7 inch??
Everytime I see Stinkor I think if you're story about him when u were a kid Pixel Dan

My favourite figure from Wave 3. Such an excellent figure, just opened him this weekend !
This is the best revelation figure so far . Great paint apps used . Look at those eyes

I agree he's a great combo of 200x but he's maintained the Stinkor look
I have been watching since 50k
Agreed Pixel, a very 200x vibe about him.
Yup! If he were a bit smaller he might fit in with that line even. I really do like this look.
We needed him during comparison time. Lol

Hopefully somewhere down the line Mattel makes a masterverse Stinkor that actually smells.

I think the armor does not match the level of detail on the fur of the figure. It ends up looking a bit odd due to that.
Haha, I watched this review to know if he stunk and had to wait till the very end to know :D
My only problem is that the paint got scraped off the top of the shoulders when articulated in the t pose.

Love the channel Dan, but I'm not a huge fan of Revelations. Maybe I'm not giving them much of a chance, but Origins is so much better.
I prefer These over Classics, Scareglow is amazing and so is Fisto and Man-E-Faces
Compared to these awesome greatly detailed figures Origins look like generic little midgets

I’m not a fan of the style of the loin cloth on this character. Other than that he’s pretty cool.
