Evil Lyn turned out to be the best of all the figure. Everything new to this line works for her. Glad I order one. Great review PD.👍
I’m a life long MOTU fan and I have to say, I really like these Revelation designs! The costume of this Evil-Lyn looks like something a woman of Lyn’s personality would prefer. I’m excited to see what Mattel does with the updated looks on the other characters in the future waves.
I'll wait for Evil Lyn and Teela in their classic outfits. Not keen on the newer looks. I'm glad she isn't yellow though. Always preferred Evil Lyn with white skin.

It’s really gotten to be a joke at this point. And the announcements keep on coming. We’re getting a black Superman, a black Snow White, to name just a few. The shock factor wore off long ago. Hollywood has gone mad at this point.

this figure actually looks not so bad compared to the other figures. My favorite Evil-Lyn figure is the classics Battleground Evil-Lyn

They gave her long hair to complete the water tribe look.
There are a couple of Stepford Wife moments in this review, like I can't really say anything bad because Mattel's been sending me free samples. (example: like how he said no complaints about the "construction" of the figure).

I really dislike the Skeletor in this new line but Evil-Lyn looks great. A nice update to a figure.

Based on what I've seen Dan, I agree with you 100% that she is the best one. By far. Her face sculpt is incredible, the subtle poses you have her in look stellar and she has great accessories.
That Skeletor laugh killed me. 😂
I have my reservations about this line of figures. Individually she's the only one that looks really good to me... but seeing them all together in that group shot, they look pretty solid as a collection.

Also, this Evil-Lyn can be a perfect match for MOTU Classics New Adventures Skeletor.
This is the figure that, dare I say it - (outside our favored nostalgia with the original look) when compared to Classics this one actually can compete - and certainly in articulation outshines them. If we can get this with others in the line this line would be outstanding.
I love Evil-Lyn. This version however is not the EL I know and love. Pass for me.

She looks cool and thad long white hair looks nice. Way better than the short hair versions of previous incarnations of her.
Anytime a change happens people either lose their minds or don't know how to feel. The white long hair looks great imo. If someone doesn't like it well use the regular head with the helmet. Simple. I agree it is the best figure of this line so far 👍
I love this Evil-Lyn action figure. Her looks, colours and articulation is probably the best of the revelation toys so far as action figure :)
A different take garb wise and the long haired look I like it myself. A classic armored version hopefully is coming in a later wave.

I agree with you - I miss Evil-Lyn with short hair. Like the 200X series. The long hair just does not fit the character. I guess we will have to wait and see what Revelations has in store for the "Evil Warrior Goddess".
How are the elbows? They look really flimsy and I feel like they are gonna break really easily.
Is this whole wave out at distributors cause all I keep seeing at target is skeegod but I keep seeing review videos for for several of them.
I found on this Saturday (July 3, 2021) that you can get the MOTU Prince Adam Sky Sled on clearance for half off in-store at Target. The Target website does not have this same offer, and even has discontinued Prince Adam Sky Sled from shipping.

Great reviews of this series! I'm probably not going to go for these, as I'm already all in on the Origins line. It'll be interesting to see if Mattel can juggle all these form factors at once. Looking forward to the new show.

I'm managed to get some of wave one on one of my trips to Hattiesburg. Still, missing Skelegod, Battle Cat, and of course Evil-Lyn.

I may be in the minority, but I actually think this Evil-Lyn figure looks really good. Probably my second-favorite one in this series next to Skelegod.
The new look is different but it still works, actually like the long hair on her.
A year later... i agree with you. Love the new series (like me) or hate it (like a lot of people did) these early masterverse figures were solid. The men were a bit hit or miss (looking at you moss man and your useless torso articulation) but the ladies... she-ra. Merc teela. Andra. Classic teela. All of them were knocks right out of the park... and this evil lyn started that trend.

Loving the long hair
Moss man, Evil-Lyn, and Battle Cat all look great to me. Some of the better versions in my opinion. It's just a massive bummer that both He-Man and Skeletor aren't great. Those two are rough.
To be honest, despite loving the character, the only Skeletor that looked great apart from the Filmation one was a large Four Horseman designed Skeletor I recall from the mid-late 2000s.

They really ruin international packaging. Instead of having a bio some people can't read, they have nothing so no one can read anything. Same with the mini comics having all the text removed so no one can enjoy them. Stupid.
Agreed, I hate this about Mattel. For casual fans or new fans there is no info about the character on the packing. Dumb decision when you consider most people on the planet can either read or have an awareness of the English language.

Such weird choices. The brown satchel in a way pushes even more that she is somehow super reminiscent of Korra. Especially with that long hair.
Overly dressed evilyn, i prefer the pantless original. I hate this whole line. Hard pass.

I also love MOTU, and I’d like to watch the actual cartoon before I decide whether it’s good or not. And if I don’t like it, I will always have filmation to rewatch, which I think is basically lesbian-free. Maybe you’d be happier watching that too? Personally I hope the new show is a huge success so that a new generation of kids can discover the same wonder that we felt when we were their age and we watched motu. Wouldn’t that be brilliant?
I didn't know Evil-lyn had a lot of figures.
In the trailer Teela breaks her staff in half , that's why she has short n long. Gotta freeze the frames to see it. I'm gonna wild guess n expect the short staff to be shown in the after math part of the series
I loved my Evil-Lyn figure. I think it's the best one from the first wave. I can't seem to fit the second head, though. I feel like I'm going to break the ball joint if I keep forcing it
Maybe try a blow dryer to soften the plastic?
The head looks great. Everything else not so much.
Well just my 3¢.... BUT.... The video is only just started .... But sadly the departure from the yellow skin tone. She was one of my favorite figure from the old school .. The art work on her box is great overall don't get me wrong ... But as soon as I saw it my mind related it to looking very Mortal Combat female characters !!!

Yesterday from target i picked up skelegod i was going to pick up battle cat as well but he was about $40 so maybe next time i see him i well pick him up i am at Wal-Mart i have not seen none the rest of the masterverse figures yet but when i do i well pick up them as well

I just finished Revelations and the latest new Heman show.
I like both of the series but the so-called kid show end up having more well-rounded and better develop characters. It's almost feels like it's the exact opposite the revelations it's for kids and the CG show is for adults and fans.
But that being said though, I originally passed on these but now I want an Evil Lynn and Teela figure since they're the main characters in Revelations
I like that she is scaled better than the Classics women who were all a bit too tall.

I don't like her costume or how muscly her arms are but the face sculpt is good.
Mabey her hair grew after skeletor becomes skelagod. Henceforth ,Mabey two or three years gose by after he man is defeated by skeletor .
Both head sculpts with this are great, but like many others, I think the outfit is a little too “pirate-y.” A long dress and cloak might have been a better choice.
Long hair Evil Lyn made so much sense after seeing the series. We needed a new hero after what they did to Teela and you can see Evil Lyn is the savior.

Masterverse SUCK -Hope Mattel read this ! Are these supposed to be a premium collector line but the anatomy is awful, Paint details suck, Face Sculpts are so poorly sculpted . really disapointed with this line !

They saved that one for Teela
This version of Evil-Lyn is a bit of a slow-grower with me... At first I was a bit underwhelmed, especially with her "long coat" cape (it looks far too Earth-like for my tastes, complete with "handbag"!!), in fact she's got a touch of Cruella de Vil about her IMO. We've yet to see how much this new "coated" look will feature in the new series, but I would have hoped to see this initial figure instead feature (the new version of) her traditional armour look - this one feels like it should instead be a later variant. I'm also a fan of the vintage "bright yellow" EL look (which I always explain as her black magic tainting her skin) and would hope to see that reimagined at some point.
But the more I've studied it, it is growing on me - I do like the face sculpt (it actually reminds me of Classics Teela in some ways; I know 4H only had major influence on the new Moss Man but I wonder if they were involved in this face at all), there's some nice detailing, and it's the articulation when out of box that really brings this one to life - some of the poses in the video really sold her to me more. For me she's second best of these first four figures behind Moss Man (Skeletor is fair but not perfect, and He-Man is such a let down), though am yet to decide how I feel about the (slightly varying) styles of this new line overall.
I think I'm going to have to get Evil-Lyn but wait for He-Man and Skeletor variants. She's the best figure in this first series.

Best figure of this line next to Battle Cat. Only real issue is that "fur" collar making her look like she's got no neck. Still not enough to get me to buy these.
