Me: Hitting up four good wills and only finding mass manufactured everything.
Laura: Enough art to fill a museum.
When your video popped up, my brain said , “Ooh, yay! It’s Laura!”
Absolutely Laura! Cook girl! Your heart and smile will win over everyone.
My fav influencer!! Laura. So excited when I see a new video has dropped and this was a doozie! What a day of great treasures. And YES PLEASE in the cooking vids. I appreciate your great work and the enjoyment you provide in this crazy time. XOXO from Savannah GA!
Yes Laura!!!I will join you in your cooking adventures for Sure!!!You would be Great!!!!
Laura is so next-level! Finding treasures instead of junk while muttering the stores inventory and she doesn’t mock the pieces or complain. She’s obviously grateful. That’s integrity imo. Love everything about Laura. Looking forward to the 1st Friday Sale. 🎉
Anyone that hits 4 thrifts in 1 day is my hero!!!
Definitely with the food channel. Check out the fat lava sites for all of the German pottery companies and I can hook you up with a couple of experts. Right after I started watching your site I picked up a number of critters. One was a lucite cat done by a famous Brazilian artist and worth a ton.
I hit eight yesterday 😊
Yes, it's tiring but fun.
I would love to join your cooking channel. Beginner level is for me.
Ok everyone. How many of your Goodwills have this much good stuff? None of you? Yes, that’s what I thought.😂 Laura, you must live in an alternate universe. Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you.
Not mine
I would love a cooking channel
Mine do
@Lo V me too! The best! the most beautiful & “expensive” things in my home are from goodwill! 💓
I have to visit other towns and still haven't found a good one
I use the holders for mail didn't even know they were napkin holders, lol.
...I love this site and , Laura ..your style is my style ..you’re keeping me entertained ...I’m old enough to be your grandmother , so I don’t get out so much anymore ..love you .
So glad you join me on my thrifting adventures Sue ❤️
Hands down the coolest thrifting channel on RUclips.
😘
Absolutely true😃
I so agree.
Hi @@leftcoastrevivals, are you and Selena, still working on your shared shop space? I haven’t heard you talk about on either this channel or TRL in awhile?
Love your channel and you!
Add me in as another "yes!" vote for you cooking!
I wish I had your eye for styling my home, my clothes, and my meals--you're talented!
El Crapola is my sad, sad style. She really has it together. Good for her.
I can’t believe you found that much great stuff in one goodwill. Wish I could
Me too
I know 🙈, I keep telling my husband let's take a drive down there just to thrift. Best I find out here is items that came from Walmart lol. I believe we are 15 or 20 hours away lol. Friggen borders need to open. 😣
Yes do the cooking channel I would watch it sounds great.
A tip, when you find pottery or really just about anything if you can’t tell what the signature is try making a rubbing of it. That’s what I do and about 90% of the time it works. Just take a thin piece of paper and use a pencil. Take the side of the pencil tip and rub it over the paper on top of the signature.
That’s a great tip! Thank you!
Yes! To the cooking channel!!!
Also, that black coat your wore with your new jeans is gorgeous 💕
HI LAURA, I LOVE IT WHEN YOU TAKE ME ALONG ON ON YOUR SHOPPING TRIP,, AS YOU WERE LOOKING AT DIFFERENT THINGS, I WAS SAYING YES!! GET IT!! LOVE THE THINGS YOU CHOOSE!! TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE!! GOD BLESS!!💖🙏
I would love to see you with a cooking channel. So exciting to see all your finds.
Hey girl, that “olive green” color was known as avocado back in the day.
Yes, Avacado green, Pumpkin orange and Harvest gold were the colors in the 70's.
@@darstill2195 ,Yes,my Aunt's house was all appliances avocado and orange, shag Carpet! It was amazing! I wish I could go back in time to see it again, now that I'm old enough to appreciate it.
Laura, I just love you! I love your style and the tone of your channel. Such a good, clean vibe. Keep up the great work, sister!
I would watch your cooking channel!!!!!
Yes to the cooking channel! I have been on a health journey over the last year and have lost over 55 pounds so I am always looking for healthy recipes that are beyond the mundane. Judging from your pictures you love international cuisine as much as I do!
Hi Laura! The “olive” color you referenced is avocado green & big colors from the 70s were also orange, yellow & brown! I used to sell Tupperware back in the day & those colors were the primary ones they used! So, if you happen to see some canisters in those shades, you’ll be able to date them to the 70s-80s! Thanks for letting us go along with you in your treasure hunting! 😊💕
I like your style and how relatable you are. Thanks for being genuine!
Fire up the pans Laura would love to see some cooking ❤️
If I went thrifting with you we would end up fighting over everything because I love everything you pick up 😆 also your food looks amazing so thumbs up to a food channel 😋
YES to your cooking channel. I enjoy learning new dishes to serve my happy hubby.
A few ways I use vintage napkin holders... to hold file folders, cutting boards, and paper hand towels in bathroom. Also use for mail, bills, etc in my desk and recipes for the week on the kitchen counter. Attach removable hook to back and hang on wall by door to grab outgoing mail when I leave house so it doesn't get left on my desk! Holds notepad and sticky notes on my nightstand. So many great uses. I have a collection of very old match holders. Like them for cotton swabs and makeup brushes. coming up. Try your library used bookstore for amazing cookbooks and other just-like new finds!!!
I would totally watch you make whatever that incredible food was! 🍽
I would definitely watch your cooking channel!
Avocado green!
I was in high school in the mid Seventies.
Me too! “Avocado Green and Harvest Gold”! LOL
YES on everything, including the cooking channel!
I think a cooking show would be great but love watching your postings anyway xx
I always love your finds. Having lived through the seventies, however, I tend to try and forget about it. ;-)
So true...😐 Me too!😀
Especially that green color she mentioned...🤢
@Patti R Hehe! 😊
I love the 70’s.. clothes were made with natural fabrics, great patterns, the fact that Laura finds such beautiful clothes and vintage craft wares is do in part to the wonderful wools, cottons, silks, leathers, handmade artistic inspired items of the 60’s and 70’s, a lot of today’s clothes are very poor quality fabric and poorly made. Just found this channel and LOVE it.
@@caryltiedemann7564 Were you alive during them?
Only you would find a Beatle wearing a crocheted vest!😂🤣😂🤣👍
😂
YES! to the RUclips Cooking Channel project. I think that's a great Idea Laura.
I would watch ANYTHING you create! Count me in for Cooking with Caldwell 😁😁
Yes, on the cooking channel! Love your thrifting vids, and thrifting style. Shop on! :)
Hi Laura, Super shopping day....your purchases are a blast from the past for me! In 1970 l got married and in '71 my husband was sent to Thailand for a year.(Air Force member)
Close to the end of that tour of duty he sent me the coveted
"AAFES"catalog. I think only service members stationed overseas could order from it.
It was filled with treasures from all over the world. I almost had it memorized!😉 l ordered more Monkey Pod wood products from salad bowl sets to 3 tiered Lazy Susans, serving dishes, punch bowl set on a pedestal turntable, jewelry chests....oh my it was so much fun.....that black vase with the metallic oriental etching on it became my choice item to buy multiples of to give as gifts to friends and relatives.
Ofcourse l had "avocado" appliances and so many crazy accessories. I was only 21 years old and setting up my home was so much fun!! Your trips very often remind me of my life and l wished you could have shopped at my garage sales through the years....you would have hit the jack pot!! Sorry this is so long...you just got me taking a walk down memory lane!
PS You look so adorable in your Paige jeans, beautiful jacket and red tam!!! Your cuteness and
enthusiasm is just so delightful!!
Aww that’s the thing I love most about shopping for vintage finds. The sweet memories it brings back 💕
Absolutely YES!!! With that kind of food! Girl go for it!!!
A RUclips cooking channel? Heck yeah! I would be watching.
Lucky you with the Paige jeans, they’re adorable! Loved the carved vase with the hibiscus flowers and YES to a cooking channel or section (you can videos) ... I’m with you on the can’t wait to entertain again soon! Loving the Goodwill shopping videos, wishing my local ones had more than trash in them, nothing but junk 😫
Aw darn! I went to a few Goodwills in California a few years ago and they were terrible. Ever since I haven’t taken ours for granted.
YES on the cooking channel and I'm wondering about that skirt alteration as well ❤️
Hi Laura.
Your carved wooden vase is so beautiful !
The flower is a gardenia called Plumeria.
It's a hawaiian/polynesian favourite flower. 🌺
And your tall FESTIVO candlesticks from Ittala cost roughly US$ 100.00 each in Scandinavia. 😘
I love cooking! So yes to cooking videos!
Very interesting and unique finds as usual. A beginner cooking vlog with different but doable recipes would be something I would be interested in.
A big YES!!!!!! For the cooking show please 😊🙏🏽
Yes yes yes to the cooking channel, the food you showed at the end looked absolutely delicious, and it would be brilliant for myself, a beginner cook :)
Yes to the cooking channel! The food looked great. Oh, and that little polar bear you have is so cute!
I love your hauls, your stories, your tips, your finds so I would totally love your cooking channel if that is happening!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
So excited for your angel lady!!!😊😊😊
I love these because you shop, and tell us what you are buying!! So interesting. YES, YES, YES TO YOU TUBE BEGINNER COOKING SHOW!!! ❤❤❤
Yes and Yes easy cooking and making great rich food sounds good to me!
I love healthy, ethnic food so I would definitely watch your cooking videos! But please continue the thrifting videos as well! Love, love that flower wooden vase, it reminds me of the monkey pod when I lived in Hawaii.
I love these kind of videos. I always try and guess if you are going to put the item in your cart or not before you do LOL. I love your style, and you are such an inspiration. Makes me want to slide my style your way more. I love natural woods and pottery. And YES !!! I would absolutely watch your cooking channel !! Get it going girl.
Yes please to Cooking. What a great idea.
I myself have been cooking more & more this past year. I find it fun, relaxing, a true learning experience, enjoyable and oh so yummy. I'd rather cook at home then go out somewhere to eat.
Laura I loved everything you found today. You have a great eye in finding treasures and also in putting everything together. You my girl are a true pleasure to watch.
You found great items Laura!!! I’m in love with your carved wood vase. I was inspired by you to continue with my wood and pottery collection.
Laura, you are killing it with your videos!!! Each one is better than the last one! I’d be very interested in watch if you did cooking videos!!
Oh my gosh Laure! The one thing I wanted the most was the carved wooden vase that you’ve keeping. It was just awesome. Also loved the green leaf dish. Very nice finds. With the napkin holder we used to put our mail, bills in it. 🤷🏼♀️❤️
I thought that was a letter holder or stationary holder!! I am a product of the 70's so we had an orange sofa, shag carpet and all of the groovy colors.😉 I still have the Merry Mushroom set from Sears including the clock!!..All of it!! Getting ready to sell it!!
Laura, I would love to see a cooking channel but, I would love to see you cook at your highest level and mix in some basics because a lot of people can do the basics. Can't wait for the cookbook to come out with styled mid-century tables and entertaining ideas!!😉 You are so creative and inspiring. I love it.🌻
You truly got the know how. I adore your taste !
Yes I would enjoy your cooking videos if you do so since it’s my other favorite thing to watch! Thanks for the great hauls lady! Got lots of goodies today!
hi Laura i think the best way to do your cooking channel would to be display your dishes in all the vintage and generally stylist ways using midcentury bowls ,vases etc and showing how all the food could be displayed on a table setting like Martha Stewart with a modern twist. You have a gift for display which could be a win for food presentation. The food you displayed looks awsome ! Best of luck Eileen (Vancouver Canada)
Laura,if you really want flowers on the back of your 1/2 price angel. Buy some silk flowers and glue or tape to the back and the flowers will pop up on the back like they were in a case. I thoroughly enjoy your channel. Keep up the creativity!!!!
You find such amazing things, can't even...
Your cooking looked beautiful!
I love all your videos. And YES to a cooking channel!!!
I've got a bamboo napkin holder I use for mail! Our mail usually gets thrown around all over the house, so it's nice having a dedicated spot for it!
I love your channel and would love to watch cooking as well.
I would totally watch you cooking channel! Is there anything you can't do??
I can't believe you are finding these great pieces at a goodwill ! The designing cook. yup, I would watch.

Laura you would be fabulous doing a cooking you tube channel. You have one of the best tones to your voice and the food you just showed. Wow to the presentation. You have a gift get out there and share it.

Hi Laura! I’m so very sorry for your loss. Sending you lots of love and strength ❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely love your channel and all your finds. I would love to see a cooking video from you.
I would use that vintage napkin holder to hold a stack of old vintage postcards. I LOVE picking up old postcards at flea markets and this would be a cool way to display them
I go to all those Good Wills weekly, Laura!!!! I always hope to run into you and Selena one day!!!! YESSSSS on that cooking channel!!!!!! How exciting would that be????!!!!!!!

💜The carved vase & green carved dish and green platter👍🌺
Cooking and "beginner" , 2 things that don't usually go together. Great idea.
I’m in for the RUclips food channel!!!
is there a particular web site you go to for looking up pottery and dishes?
Lady, you struck gold! What finds! A cooking show would be great! How about one skillet meals or recreating your fav meals from your fav restaurants!?
if I found just one thing like she picks up regularly, I would be ecstatic! She must live where rich people are constantly redecorating
I love love love 💕 that owl planter! I would have picked that up!
Yes, cooking channel please!
Cooking channel? YES!!!!!!!! I love your style, spirit, and authenticity....go for it Laura, you are fabulous in front of the camera..your personality shines through and I learn so much from you!
