- Today I am taking you guys on the Vancouver, Washington Goodwill Grand Tour =) This is one of my favorite days in the week. I have a route and hit all the #Goodwill locations in my area. It's exhausting, it's exciting, and I am thrilled to take you along with me! Let's go see what we can find =) Stay tuned till the end to see how I decorate with my Goodwill finds.

Omg. I can’t with the drawing at the end and the halloween costumes 😂. I feel like the goodwills know when you’re coming and put out all their stoneware pottery, wood, and baskets. Great video and finds.
I wish they did! 😂 That would be so awesome. The key in our area is going often. I hit these goodwills several times a week ☺️ Hehe had to share the drawing. It was our favorite wedding gift ❤️

You guys have tne best Goodwills. Ours are junky and everything is just thrown on the shelves. Also thank you for being so gentle with the items that you touch. I have seen some resellers on you tube that are so rough and really clank things together. Especially things that they don't want. Then complain about things that they want but have chips on them. Your house is beautiful and should sell fast. I can't wait to see what style you will look for next.

Yes!!! this is what i like about these women, (Laura and Selena) they are respectful of things regardless of what they like or not. Some of the resellers on here don't have the vibe going on and don't care or know about the history of things, it really puts me off.
Ours are junky, too. Did I hear Laura say once that the Goodwills are owned and operated in groups? Maybe that’s why ours are all junky and sparsely stocked.

Your message in a bottle painting... so my first born son who now lives in heaven...on what would’ve been his 21st birthday, my 4 amazing kids along with my husband and myself went to the pier where my husband and I were married. Each kid wrote a letter to their oldest brother and then we put the letters in bottles and tossed them in the ocean. We included our address in the hopes they may be found someday. I was immediately reminiscent of that day 10 years ago. 🙏😇
That Murano perfume bottle towards the end had me wishing I could reach right through my screen!

I find going in thrift stores ,you can’t see the forest for the trees..but you know what you’re looking for so everything else melts away!

I inherited, from my mother, several Kosta Boda snowball tealight holders that I absolutely love to decorate with. They look so beautiful with a candle glowing inside. I usually put them on my table around Christmastime and they are still there this year, with a red table runner and a bunch of hearts scattered about them.
That open area at the top of your room, all the way to the right, I would place 3 or 4 large hardcover coffee table books. Either stack them, or stand them using a book end and the wall to prop them.

P.S. the 70’s crock has a “FF Japan” sticker on the bottom for Fitz & Floyd. In case you wanna research it. I found one on Pinterest but couldn’t attach the link.

Hi Laura! I really like your guest room! To tie in the lovely pillows on the bed, put a large afghan @ the foot of the bed in colors that highlight the green pillows & don’t forget a nice mirror over the chest of drawers! Thanks for letting us shop & travel with you & hubby! 🥰😊💕

i love the room. it's given me some ideas for my bedroom.
I have an empty space like this and put 1950s and 60s suitcases up on either side might not be what you are looking for to sell but for us the old suitcases are perfect for storing items.
The red coat looks better on you that the brown one.

The ledge in your downstairs bedroom. If you could some how up light the ledge and make it brighter in that room it would be amazing.Even if it is just some well placed LED candles,it would also make the low ceilings seem higher. Home buyers Do Not like dark rooms!!! It would also be a good thing for resale to get rid of the popcorn ceiling if you could. I would also paint the thin strip of wood at the base of the ledge the same color as the walls.The thin strip of wood stops the eye making the ceilings seem lower and the room smaller. These are just suggestions and I want to say I am so excited for your move as I am sure you. The decorating that you have done in the room is amazing!!! A little burlap window treatment trimmed in a cotton canvas in one of the greens from your adorable pillows would be so cute as well. I would cover the whole frame of your window right up to the ceiling and just clamp it with some little ring clamps on a wire that they use to hang window treatments.: )

Peel and stuck wallpaper was meant for that little recessed space in the bedroom. Then design it with sculptural pieces or more pillows. You’ve got so many objects. Put some bc up t HD ere. Fantastic. I adore your husband you. He US super funny. You are so cute together.
I would say having at least one piece of art in your guest bedroom would make the best complete statement. Those pillows do fit that space nicely, beautiful design.

The guest bedroom looks so serene and peaceful. I think a small row of books, a great bookend and a nice trio of pottery pieces and maybe a longish carved or inlaid wood box would look great in the ledge space. Great thrifting scores, especially the coats.

The Space over the bed in your guestroom is just Perfect for books. I imagine a teenage bookworm living there with books all around the room. Sorted by colour.

I would have gotten the crystal "candle riings" for your frosty, icy look for Christmas. Pretty with tiny lights.
For the spare bedroom, I would put a clay pot or vase at the top right corner and have some drapey plant cascading down from it! That and one of your amazing bookend collections plus some books to fill up some of the space as well!

Research, research, research... I love it. I've bought mystery items just to research. Cypress knees, how I stumbled on that answer, lamps! Don't tell Jocelyn, lol. I often think that thrifters could cure a disease because some of us love the research aspect so much. 🔬💻📖🔎

When we sold our house, I took everything out and put it in a storage space, leaving only a dresser and a few pieces of pottery and a lamp and a chair in the room. Our real estate agent said we did a really good job making the house look simple so people could look at all the pretty things like my white blinds, tile, etc.

My teenage child likes led lights in her room, maybe if you put some white led lights it will brighten up the space on top of the bed, kind of what the kitchen lights under the cabinet.

Repaint the grunge gray border wall into a turquoise sky or honey sun.
Get some strip lights and light that area up. It will brighten the room and make the ceiling look taller.

I would throw a little innocent splash of color on the shelf, something that catches the eye but not too much. If it were my own place I'd go full on drama queen!

That red coat was a great find. I love the jewelry at the battleground Goodwill but I find their jewelry is too expensive compared to some of the other goodwills in Vancouver. Also love the throw pillow and wood candle holders.
